I downloaded FreeGrabApp as a way to play my favorite movies offline and I can say for sure that they blew away my expectations with what I got in the end. As for streaming services I use Hulu and hbomax and wished to download some shows Hulu worked very well but HBO Max wouldn't work at all. The app should have gotten 5 stars but due to HBO not working I have to give it 4 stars. Other than this small oversite I am so happy with this application. It is very easy and intuitive to use. It also allows you to download the content you want from different platforms you can also change the quality of the video and the quality of the audio. I virus scan all of the files and all of them were clean so I feel safe using this app. If you like to save your favorite movies, tv shows, and more, don't hesitate to get FreeGrabApp It is the best alternative I have found to view everything I want offline.
This software is so good and I can't wait to see what kind of things the developers add in the future!

FlixGrab allows you to download from various streaming services, allowing you to have the file saved to HD, without having to re-sign if you want to re-watch, but it's not perfect. The program itself has several problems, both for downloading and validating the links. The program often closes because it can't capture the link, or during the download, when something goes wrong, these are things that hinder the experience of the program. There have been times when the video got the image buggy on my pc, and I had to demote it, but I only found that out after I was going to watch it. Otherwise it's still a good program.”

“Flix Grab seems rather easy, I battleted with the registration and not sure how it is going to work, but never the less, I think if the registration was made a little bit easier, it would have made it more practical, I am sure this can be worked on, the fact that this is a service that is provide by people that work really hard to make this work, make it worth the efforts getting the key.”

“Yep - it works really well - when it works. But.... VERY easy to upset and confuse it (try deleting a completed download while another is running for example).
Solution is to purge the cache and start again. This review is for the paid version.”
“I have downloaded and installed various FlixGrab applications. They all error out and do not download anything. The fixall of deleting the account info and uninstall/reinstall makes no difference. I have created number of bug reports with never a response or fix. Don't waste your money on this product”
“FreeGrabApp has stopped working for everything except YouTube and the company has not responded satisfactorily after almost six months trying to resolve the issue, despite promising repeatedly a response within 72 hours.
I have been trying to resolve this issue for almost six months and my requests have been ignored and labeled as "duplicate requests" without ever having been resolved. The most recent request was over six weeks ago, and despite sending me a request number (LNXQ-25534) their web site cannot find my most recent request.
I'm sorry to have to give this low rating, but I can't seem to get any response from them at all.

“same problem, did a renew of the licence for Flixgrab, before it was working perfectly and after renew the licence i'll get the same issue, " VIDEO CAN'T BE PARSED ". I have filled out the debugg requested Tech support 4 times but no response. It's been over a month and the problem still remains.”

“TL;DR It could have been a really good product but the customer support is so horrendous that I’d rather try to return something in person at Best Buy--on Black Friday--than deal with this company. It is a classic example of bait-and-switch.
I tested the demo version and was impressed when my movie downloaded perfectly. The demo only lets you download one program at a time, so I took the upsell for the year-long paid version, which promised to download five programs at one time--seemed worth it. I activated the premium version, then chose five episodes of a show to download. It didn’t work –“error timeout”. So I lowered the number to 3 episodes to download—same result. The only way the program downloaded anything was to limit it to one item at a time, the “demo” version.
That’s when the house of cards fell, and I was essentially ghosted. I sent an email about how the program wasn’t working properly, they sent me a copy-and-paste version from their FAQ section on their site, ending that they considered this case now closed. I sent a follow-up email explaining that I had already read and gone through the FAQ solutions and was still having problems, their response was to “please not send duplicate requests, this complicates the solution of your question” and added that “the request was now completed”. This interaction played out the exact same way for the next four (different) problems I asked about. Copy-and-paste from FAQ, don’t contact us again even though it doesn’t work.
I am now in a Kafka-esque situation, having paid for a program that doesn’t work as promised, unable to get it to work, and being told that me telling them it doesn’t work only makes the problem worse.
Still believing that all people are good at heart, I emailed them when my computer died about how my activation key wasn’t recognized on my new laptop, so to please send a new one. They replied that it was “one activation key per computer” and the case was closed. I told them I understood the one-per-one policy, but since I had paid for a year’s subscription, I would like to use my remaining eight months on a computer that actually recognized electricity. They replied that they couldn’t help me, the case was closed. I suggested that they just deactivate the current license key that was registered to my dead computer, then send a new key that I could use on new laptop for the remainder of my paid subscription. They said they couldn’t help me, the case was closed.
Gaslighted, I wondered if maybe I WAS asking too much, so I got a second opinion from all my IT friends and programmers, IT staff at work, and Reddit groups—was I really being a high-maintenance girlfriend/paying customer? The resounding answer was No, that this was something that required no new knowledge or code for the company programmers. In fact, they wrote out a step-by-step procedure (deactivate current code, assign new code, do complicated math subtraction to calculate for remainder of time) that they suggested I send to the company. I did. They responded that they didn’t understand the directions, couldn’t help me, and the case was closed. An NYU freshmen took pity on me and offered to try and revive my old computer for free. After booting it up, we found out the company had deactivated my account. I emailed them about it, wondering how they managed to deactivate something without blaming it on me. Reply: The case was closed.
So if you want to drop big bucks on a year subscription that’s only valid for three months, consider an out-of-state gym membership. Case closed.”
“What once was a decent stream downloader, it has fallen into the abyss of useless tools. Just too many bugs creeping into the code, and their tech support is all but denying there are any.
Here's an example. It downloads, but then doesn't finish compiling the video, and gets stuck. You can do nothing but close the program and try again, keeping your fingers crossed.
I've been in touch with tech support over this for days now, and they say to "download the latest version, your issue is fixed".. just to find out, it's not only not fixed.. it's worse.

“The Amazon grab app doesn’t work at all. The review is false if someone says it does. They will not give you a refund without a lot of trouble, and then only a partial refund at that. This is why people download bootlegs.”
