“Shop assistants at Humber Runner are good at providing advice and guidance on appropriate running shoes to meet needs, however the prices for trainers are very high end - I'd advice shopping around if you want a good deal.”

At Humber Runner we pride ourselves on the advice our experienced staff are able to offer customers. Services such as gait analysis and in-store advice from our sports rehabilitation specialist are not offered by online specialists. To be able to offer this customer experience means we can't always match online discounted prices. What we do offer is quality shoes and honest advice at the best price we can.

“I recently rang for advice as my husband is disabled and needs extra support in his trainers to avoid falls. I was told to bring my husband into the shop so that we could be given advice after seeing him walking .Because Humber runner has such a good reputation I put my trust in the staffs advice and paid over the odds (£100) for trainers that my husband would only be wearing in the house. On trying them at home, we realised that although they support , they are over tilting him and so to avoid any accidents I returned them to the shop today only to be told that I could not be refunded as the trainers were not faulty! I am so disappointed as we are now left with an expensive pair of trainers that are of no use. Really expected better customer service and certainly will not be shopping or promoting this business to friends”

We are sorry to hear that the shoes you purchased from us were not suitable despite them offering the type of support that your physiotherapist had specifically requested. For store purchases we have a 14 day return policy whereby we will offer an exchange or a credit note for any shoes you are not entirely happy with provided the product is returned unworn, boxed and in a resaleable condition. Unfortunately in this case these conditions were not met as the shoes were returned to us unboxed and worn. We are disappointed that you feel our service level was not up to standard but our staff did listen to your requirements and provided a product that met those requirements.

“The service at Humber Runner is second to none. I'm just getting into running and had a lot of bad advice at larger chain fitness stores and was steered towards entirely the wrong shoes. Andy at Humber Runner did me an in-depth analysis, both static and moving. He ran me through the gait analysis in several different pairs of shoes until we found out exactly what it was that I needed. He must have had me try on half the shoes in the shop until we got it just right! The knowledge and advice were excellent and I felt really well looked after. I really can't rate this place highly enough, and I feel so much more confident throwing myself into my new pursuit now that I know how to properly protect and support my very fussy feet. Cheers!”

“I haven't run for four years and have got into the London marathon again. I run in saucony jazz shoes and know any other shoes mess up my knees. So was desperate to get size 6.5 saucony jazz. Was told I would no longer be able to get them any where. You came to my rescue!. Have worn them and they are fab. Thank you”

“Ordered a Garmin Forerunner 920xt from Humber Runner online as a late Christmas present for myself. In my haste I ordered the wrong colour, emailed Humber Runner and they changed the order for me first thing the next morning, then the watch was delivered within the delivery date and a very happy runner I am now!”

“I'm not a runner. Not even a bit. Just joined a couch to 5k programme and Humber Runner were recommended for trainers etc. I was even more scared of going to a proper running shop than I was of the actual running. The man in the shop was brilliant...reassuring and full of useful advice. Even better, I wasn't made to feel silly despite my complete and utter lack of knowledge. Genuinely impressed.”

“The people at the shop are very knowledgeable and when I discussed my needs and problems, they discussed with me my options. I was not pressured or rushed to make a decision about my purchase, but I knew that the running shoes I had purchased were going to be to my requirements. I left the shop very happy.
