“Order came in sooner than expected. Installed them and they all fit. I no longer hear the dogs at before the sun AM!! The delivery was dissapointing. They never called to set up a time for me to be home. I work from home. the company deleiverd while I was home, never rang the door bell/car was in driveway. It was raining. A neighbor came over to tell me about the delivery. Crate was damaged but contents were okay.”

“The overall construction is not bad though the sound reduction aspects as advertise is pretty underwhelming. While it helps damper normal noise (talking, birds, low ambient noise) it does nothing for cars/motorbikes or distance trains/planes.”

Adam, Thanks for the feedback. We pride ourselves in the quality and performance of our inserts. Our products are built to last and provide excellent energy savings and noise reduction. All sound environments are indeed different, with many factors such as wall construction/materials, etc. Also, low frequencies (due to the properties of the sound wave) are the most difficult to mitigate and can travel though areas other than the window openings. That said, we would be happy to trouble shoot the fit of your inserts to ensure that you are maximizing the noise reduction properties. Thanks again.

“The Indow noise cancellation insert works like a magic. My office now is like a different world than before. The only downside is I waited over three months to get it.”

“I love them they perform great. I took two pictures, one where the sun it the floor through a window before install and one where the sun hit the floor through the Indow. These windows are about two feet apart. The regular window’s temperature was 102 degrees, the Indow window 78 degrees. I’m very happy.”

“I was so excited to get my noise reduction indow windows. We have a freight train that runs behind our house. After waiting 3 1/2 months we finally got our windows. They were delivered without any issues. We followed the installation instructions. All the windows fit like they should, except for one, the most important one, our BEDROOM! That insert seemed a little off. It did not fit as snug as the rest. After a month with the windows, we find that the train noise is muffled. By no means is the noise totally cancelled out. At first I was disappointed, there’s really not much we can do at this point. It is what it is. At least I’m not being woken up by the train at night. I can now hear the TV when a train goes by. So I guess the windows are doing the best they can for our situation. I won’t know how much energy we are saving yet. We live in Florida. Next summer will be telling.”

“Professional and responsive business. Product is well made and easy to install. Final appearance is unobtrusive. Performance at this point is unknown and will be determined over time. Suggestion: Use a lower tack adhesive on the protective shipping film”

“Although it took more than 3 months to receive the windows due to the pandemic, we finally received and installed, the noise were significantly reduced and my daughter was very appreciated when we self installed in her room.”

“Customer service is terrible. I had a virtual consultation. I thought I understood the question about frame depth but I did not. After receiving the laser kit I realized the window depth wasn’t substantial for the insert unless I removed the Roman shade; nor could I move the shade to accommodate the fit without it looking odd. I returned the kit to Indow and then was told for my stupidity I was would be charged $50 for shipping. When I asked about this charge being removed I was told no. Really awful customer service. If you are going to use virtual consults then you have to anticipate some errors. I guess anything to make a few bucks at the expense of the customer. Be really careful before ordering the kit.”

We are certainly sorry that the inserts did not end up being compatible with your situation. Our fit specialist are indeed trained to assess compatibility and explain the measurement process to you. This process also includes the information regarding the processing fee (to cover two-way priority shipping and handling costs of the laser-measuring kit) should the customer, as in your case, not proceed to order after measurement. For those who proceed to order, the full deposit is credited toward the order. We are committed to being honest and upfront in all aspects of our service and would respectfully disagree with this assessment of our service. “Work well. Don’t get rid of low rumbles but I didn’t expect them to. They work well for most noise frequencies though.”

Due to the nature of low frequency sound waves, the rumbles can travel through a wider variety of materials in your home (walls, etc.) We are glad to hear our inserts are providing good performance on the other sound frequencies and giving you the quiet you desire.

“What indows. They are still in Sioux Falls This all started in April. Not a happy customer!!! 10/25/21. Another week today and still no indows. I know enroute..still in Sioux Falls, SD. LOUSY customer service. I know, paid the n full! Stupid me believing I n you and your company. If I remember correctly, this all started in April. My greatest need for sound proofing was the summer months. Summer is know ND if gone, but still need! Get your act together and get them delivered!!!”

“I have 4 Indow window inserts made. I was very impressed by the product received, overall quality and would order again as the need arises. Due to the current supply chain shortages, it did take longer than originally estimated. However, Indow kept me completely informed as to status and showed strong concern for customer satisfaction.”

“It helped to muffle noise. It reduced the noise by about 10 dB. I live by a moderately busy street. The noise of cars is still annoying level. Indow insert doesn't seem to reduce the rumbling sound of loud cars and motorcycles much. The noise still wakes me up. Without Indow inserts, we were not able to sleep in a bedroom. Now, at least, I can sleep in the bedroom. My wife still needs to sleep in a walk-in closet due to the noise.”

“I am 100% satisfied with my inserts. As most people know, being a recording musician requires that you filter out as much outside noise as possible. If you’re anything like me, I don’t own the place I’m living in, and certainly don’t have the money to make my room 100% soundproof, so I was determined to find a viable solution. My search led me to the Indow Window website and the rest is history. I no longer have to listen to cicadas all throughout the day, my neighbor’s dog is less irritating, and I can finally get a sense of peace from this noisy world.”

“Unfortunately I am extremely disappointed in the product and the service through the shipping process and would not recommend this product. I originally ordered this product through thorough research of competitors based on noise reduction in my bedroom. I live across the street from a train and on a moderately busy street. My goal was to reduce the train's horn noise throughout the day and night and this product has not met my expectations. The window insert has reduced car noise, however has done nothing for the train noise sound. I confirmed with reps over and over prior to purchasing the product and they reassured me that this insert would be great for my issue - however here we are. I am out a large sum of money with a product that does not meet expectations. In addition, the shipping process was absolutely terrible. First, you need to purchase the product after a deposit for measurement tools - I waited months and months with no feedback on why the product was taking so long. I asked constantly and finally received a response that product was being shipped soon. I received a call from a third party shipping telling me a timeslot the product would be coming, however with no email confirmation which was a bit sketchy. Hopefully this review helps others.”

Justin, Thanks for the additional feedback. Once again, are sorry to hear that your are not experiencing the noise reduction that your were expecting. We remain available to troubleshoot the fit of the insert in order to ensure the sound dampening properties are maximized. It is true that we do we require a deposit for our laser measuring kit. In your situation, this deposit amount was applied to the order once the order was finalized. To be clear, for those who do not continue with an order, the deposit is refunded. Regarding your comments about the shipping process and communication, while we do not necessarily agree with every element of your characterization, we certainly know that there are areas we need to improve and appreciate your engagement in this process. As stated in our previous response, the lead times and shipping timelines were adversely affected by pandemic-related issues. We have tried all along to be transparent about these issues and communicate them as thoroughly as possible. We understand the impact this has on our customers and certainly look forward to more reasonable lead times in the future.
