Insta cart(?) Insta-aggravation. Scheduled my delivery 6-8 pm. I am senior and am in bed early. The first 3 changes I was ok with. “Our system was broken” customer service tried to excuse. Nope I said, I sent him my address and phone number to call me. By 10:30 I posted notice I was cancelling order. Updates kept changing all way to 11:33-12:03

I ordered 3 green outdoor rugs from the Aldi … the Instacart brilliant shopper/delivery driver, Chen decided to substitute one gray rugs instead… seriously… have we stooped this low that we hire this type of people… stupid, stupid, stupid… one and done chance Aldi… hopefully he will be fired…

Very bad experience with the corporate office the manager and supervise. They deactivate my account for asking question about over charge, so they deactivated my account and to re-activate it they keep asking for copy of my Visa card and my driver license. This company is going under very bad customer service completely. They need definite overhaul from the inside of the company. And they refused to give me my receipt.

I had a very upsetting experience with Instacart. When checking out for my order, the page clearly showed $0 surcharge, $0 fees, and stated that my membership would auto-renew in November 2026. There was no obvious notice that I was being enrolled into a new paid membership. There was extremely tiny fine print hidden underneath the “Accept & Checkout” button — so small that even with my glasses, I could not read it. Without my knowledge or consent, Instacart immediately charged me $99, which I absolutely cannot afford as a senior on a fixed income and currently unemployed. When I called customer service, I was shocked to be told that I could not receive a refund because I had already placed my first order — even though I never knowingly signed up for this membership. This is a classic “gotcha” tactic, and it feels deeply anti-senior, predatory, and deceptive. No company should be setting up seniors with surprise charges through unreadable fine print and misleading checkout screens. Instacart should be upfront and ethical about when they are enrolling customers into paid memberships. I’m extremely disappointed and feel taken advantage of.

Like everyone else ,I get my order and every time ,I’m missing items ,or damaged or both ,Instacart says I request refund to much!! Reason is I’m always missing items ,some items costly ,I can’t walk so ,I has hoped they would help me out nope!! Today I got order and I was missing 6 items ! Instacart will not refund not a cent ! I would not recommend this company at all,horrible service ,horrible Coustomer service,once they get their $$ they don’t care terrible!!!

Customer service keeps me on hold for 45 minutes after my order was wrong I was told I was getting a refund I did not receive any refund . DO NOT RECOMMEND

Literally the worst f-ing site ever!!! I ordered my groceries at around 5pm one day and I paid for priority delivery which meant that I should get my order at 9pm -11pm. It was delayed 3 times!!!!! It wasn't until the next day at around 12:30pm that i checked again and it still hadn't found a shopper for me. At 2:00pm, I decided to cancel and order again. And guess what...It was delayed AGAIN!! So i contacted customer service for the 4th time and they said that it can take up to 24 HOURSSSS o get assigned a shopper!! WTF KIND OF STUPID SITE IS THIS!!! Avoid this site or this can be you!!!

Since I do not drive, I rely on services like Instacart for my grocery needs. I've had experience with missing items a number of times and have also had delivery drivers who are not what is shown as being the shopper. They do not respond to your messages when you contact them about an order. I belive they keep the items not delivered. Sure a refund may be suitable for the missing items. however when you have to reorder those items, you are stuck paying yet again another delivery fee on top of the service fees and tip, its ridiculous. When talking wit customer service, they will not issue you a free delivery fee to reorder missing items. For the elderly and others who do not drive and on a limited income, a free delivery should be initiated and given as an apology. They claim they can't do that and that is BS!! Customer service is also nonchalant, uncaring, & unprofessional and dismissive of your situation. The service fees alone are astronomical. Add delivery fee on top of that and tips, its an expensive service and they should be more willing to help.

I canceled because of your response to my report of my Burger King drink smelling like cleaner and you didn’t feel I should be reimbursed. How ridiculous. In general your service isn’t very good, orders are always late even though you charge an absurd service fee. You might be worse than DoorDash. Terrible customer service. Why should I pay you to bring me a drink that is not drinkable? Of course I canceled.

I ordered from Jet's Pizza in Franklin Tennessee. I prepaid a tip which was a mistake on my part. The order never arrived. I watched the driver drive right by me when I was waiting outside I called him and I texted him and he still could not figure out where I was. Instacart said they were going to refund my purchase which never happened but they would not refund the tip.

I canceled Instacart on January 9th, 2024 because I did not utilize their services enough to continue with a membership. On 09/02/2024, eight months later Instacart fraudulent charged another annual membership fee. On yesterday 09/02/2025, Instacart fraudulent charged another membership on a credit card with an expired date even though auto renewal has long been deactivated. If you are thinking of a membership with Instacart “Proceed with caution!” *** Not to mention the one time I used Instacart my Kroger Fuel points were stolen by the delivery person***

Placed an order and the delivery person lied about delivering it. She did not and my money was kept my instacart. Over $100 dollars for an order and they refused to refund, credit or redelivery. That was unacceptable and the picture the person took of the delivery showed the bags in her car. SMH>>>> not at my door.

I am so disappointed, I left a order through Instacart from H MArt , I got charged $108 for bunch old smelly vegetables, the one they supposed trash it , they threw it in plastic bags and send it to my door, when I checked the receipt to many hidden fees, including $17 adjacent!!!!!!! I called Instacart customer care, they refunded me some , i advising everyone never order fresh food because you are throwing money in trash the way I did!!!!

Was upcharged over $60 without approval by me. No notice until delivery and shopper said take it up with Instacart. They said no refunds, exchanges, adjustments and that I should adjust my substitution settings. Instacart is an irresponsible, incompetent, and completely disrespectful company toward its customers. I ordered $197.86 worth of groceries that I never received, and their only “proof of delivery” is a ridiculous photo of groceries in the trunk of a car — not at my home, not in my possession. After insisting and appealing, they denied me any refund, credit, or redelivery, completely ignoring the clear evidence that they failed. Now, they are even threatening to block my account over alleged “failed deliveries” that are not my fault — this is outright abuse and a total lack of ethics! Instacart doesn’t deserve a single penny of my money. Their “customer service” is a bad joke, with no ability or willingness to resolve real problems. If you want to lose your money and be treated like a worthless number, go ahead and use Instacart. I will keep fighting for what I’m owed and will not let this injustice go unpunished.

It works but the website is awful. The cart is buried at the absolute bottom of the page, buried under useless ads. Even if you look at the bottom you can't see the cart because all it says is something about $5 off restaurant orders. You have to look all the way to the bottom right corner to see the tiny little shopping cart. By then, we had given up on the order and was looking into how we could delete the order.

I scheduled an Instacart order to be delivered on July 7th. When the delivery arrived, the driver gave me the wrong item. I immediately tried to call him on the spot, but he ran off, telling me to reach out to customer support instead. So I did. I created an issue ticket and was told by the customer service agent that I would hear back within 24 hours. I followed up the next day when I heard nothing, and they said now it would be 48 hours. I waited again. After two full days with no updates, I followed up again, and was shocked to hear from a different customer service agent that I would need to bring the wrong item back to the store myself, or they would not do anything further. In other words, I was waiting for a resolution that was never going to happen. When I asked them to put that in writing, they did (attached). This is completely unacceptable. I paid for a delivery service, got the wrong item, and was then blamed and burdened with solving the issue myself. Not only did Instacart fail to deliver correctly, they also failed to take responsibility at every level of support. I will seriously reconsider using Instacart again, and I would caution others about trusting this service. The customer support process is slow, dismissive, and ultimately leaves you with no resolution.

If I could give this company a negative review I would. The company offered me a promotion then told me I didn't qualify after I placed the order and it didn't come off. I chatted with 2 representatives and was pretty much told to bad and another ended before I could finish typing. It's over priced, impossible to communicate with and basically doesn't care about retaining customers. I will never shop with them again nor recommend them
