“Far too expensive. Why do you have to pay a third party. I own the property and the building Society should have given me my Deeds. Now I had to pay nearly £50 for 2 PDFs. Not even a proper deed. It seems to me to just be another form of tax. The PDFs are totally basic.”

Please note that there is a key difference between the the cheaper documents available and the documentation we provide. At the time of writing, as a general member of the public you are only able obtain a non-certified copy of the deeds directly with Gov.uk. In order to access certified, official copies, you are able to obtain these directly via post with Gov.uk, or via a 3rd party, such as ourselves.
The key difference between the 2 documents is that the certified copies are treated as evidence of ownership in court and in property transactions (e.g., buying/selling a house).
