“Do NOT rent from Leasys car rental EVER. I rented a car from them and dropped it off the evening before the due date because I had an early morning flight. We stayed that night at Best Western Linate airport. They must have used the car that night, because I got a 600 euro ($1000) fine for driving into Milan that night. I have never been into the centre of Milan. This is FRAUD. The car was hopeless too, it had trouble getting up hills. I will not pay the fine and have been arguing the case with lawyers for months now. Stay away from this company.”
“What a terrible company to deal with. Unfortunately the car they supplied was involved in an accident, and the first thing they did was tell us that we still had to continue to pay whilst it was being repaired. Instead of taking it to a main delaer garage they too it to some back street garage, who cannot find the part needed for this brand new car. 5 months later, and we have no news at all about when the car will be back but we have legal letters from Leasys telling us we will be sued if we dont pay for the car we dont have. Avoid this company at all costs. terrible.”

“My experience with Leasy's has been unsatisfactory to say the least. I initiated contact to request a reduction in mileage (as offered to paying clients in the contract). After waiting for weeks, I was finally provided with a case number, but the lack of updates persisted. Despite multiple attempts and subsequent contacts, I've been now been waiting for 9 months (to be precise, 295 days) for the change.
Every inquiry about the case's status yielded a similar response: "the case is open, they're working on it" or "they're very busy." These responses led to frustration and raised doubts about their commitment. In March 2023, I also requested a complaint form, which they claimed they would send immediately. I'm still waiting for it.
Furthermore, the customer service provided was not helpful at all; in each interaction, I felt like my concerns were being brushed aside. The lack of attention and consideration made the experience even more frustrating. Adding to the disappointment, I had to wait an average of 8 minutes on each call to speak with an agent.
It's absolutely disgraceful how the company treats its paying customers.
I hope this feedback motivates them to improve communication, customer service, and the efficiency of their responses.”
“People, be careful with Leasys rent company Bologna, that company stole money from my credit card. I used their car in September 2022, when I turned back car ask them about all details they checked everything, I didn’t have any penalty or tolls according their information. Thereafter They have started taking money in January 2023 without contact me or sending me any proof s why they have taken money from my bank account. I don’t know what is happened because they didn’t inform me. Be careful If somebody want to use their service.”
“I tried to rent from Leasys in Italy. When we arrived, we were told that since my husband was going to be the driver, the card had to be in his name. We have been to Europe multiple times and never had this come up before. I will say, buried in 4 pages of super light print, it does say that. Unfortunately, we did not have his card with us on the trip. They wouldn't let us change the driver to me, nor would they allow us to add him as an additional insured. They kept our deposit and we ended up paying double with Avis as we didn't have a reservation. I will never use Leasys again. Lesson learned. Just wanted to make others aware.”

Horrible experience and after you return the rental in excellent conditions they start withdrawing money from your account and out of nowhere appear fines in places that you’ve never been. “I have this company for a 2 years leasing. Well shall I start for the car… was not what they sold me… so simple to be paying that amount actually… nothing of nothing imagine the car play is no working.
Secondly I got a small accident a guy hit my car while I was driving he was getting out of parking. I talk to Italy as head quarters are there impossible to find anything or anyone that helps you in Spain, I did what they said send the documents for the car and the doy manera signed with the other driver as was his fault,
So well it took them 3 months to reply as more mails I sent I think at the end they just think they had to do it. They sent me to a 20 km from my city to the repairing car place and they told me I had NO right to have a complementary car..: they guy that sold me that car has not told me that? I had to pay 10 euros more a month to have a 5 day extra car…
Well so finally I was able to leave the car to be fixed what happen next?? LEasys was 19 days counted without giving permission to the fixing place either me to use it…
So I did complain because I did not want to pay for that 19 days as were them not me I did the right procedures to make docs, give car….,.., what happen next is that they say my car had to be thouse days to be repare because of the damage. WHAT? It was just some small scratch on the back door… well over all DO NOT HAVE THIS COMPANY NEAR YOU. NOT WORTH MY MONEY I SPEND EVERY MONTH, NOT WORTH THE CAR THEY GAVE ME..: I can’t wait to give yo them the car and run away… PORFAVOR NO HAGAN CASO A ESTA COMPAÑÍA DE VERDAD LES DIGO …FATAL”
“They held my credit card info for over three months and charged me 40 euro service charge for a traffic violation. I was provided no information on the type of traffic violation, date it happened, or where it happened. I was only told that the 40 euro was their charge. I have no idea what the fine will be. Keep in mind that I rented from them almost 4 months ago in the first week of July. Stay clear of this company.”

Having returned a rental car to Olbia Airport, Sardinia on 31st August in perfect working order, Leasys have still failed to return the deposit of EUR600 after 5 weeks. There is nothing at all in their Ts & Cs giving them the right to withhold funds for this long. Although they claimed by email to have repaid this on 26th September and shifted the responsibility to the "credit institute that has issued your credit card", no funds have been received. Having made half a dozen calls to their "Customer Service" number - where the rep slammed the phone down last time - and emailed them cs at leasysrent.it twice, this still hasn't been resolved!

“We have booked car with the full insurance coverage, when we came to pick up the car the rental company LEASYS informed us, the car does not have any insurance and requested another 250€ for the insurance.
So we ended up paying 400€ for invoice on road assistance which came to open the car as we locked the key in the trunk, to the rental company as we did not have any insurance according to them, and tried to reclaim the invoice by the insurance company, also asking for everything possible and not replying, just to avoid the coverage..... This is struggle is now taking 3 months, without any progress. According to other reviews they apply these extra charges on many customers. Unfortunately I have not seen the other reviews before booking with this company, otherwise I would not book the car with them.
Also we were waiting for almost an hour for the shuttle to pick us up at the airport, in the middle of the day at 40 degrees....... The employees at the office were quite impolite, mean and unprofessional... This was the first time and last time I booked a car with LEASYS.”

“We booked one of their cars in Cagliari through a third party provider. We arrived at about 11h15 to a HUGE queue to pick up the car. Because we have a baby we asked about estimates to be attended and got told off (it takes as long as it takes were we replied). At around 12h30 they were left with only 1 member as the rest of the team went for lunch leaving dozens of unhappy customers. After 2h30 we finally got attended and because of a typo in the order (made by the thrid party provider) the car rental company refused to give me the car and made absolutely no effort to try to resolve the issue. Instead they became rude and because I was insisting on the fact that their service was scandalous and instead of receiving an apology she even threatened to call the police. I note that the staff created problems for most customers in the queue a lot qualified it as their worse experience ever renting a car. Last bit that is absolutely amazing you can cancel your booking up to 2h before pick up time but because I waited patiently this does not apply and they charged the full rental price although they refused to amend the booking and provide me a car.... so for your sake avoid this company at any cost!!!”
“WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, DO NOT TRUST LEASYS CAR RENTAL.
Be extremelly carefull because when picking up the car outside Santiago Airport they leave you alone to check the car parked by the road and lots of small print rules that other companies do not have. When returning appears they find very quickly very minor damages to charge the driver for the same scuff/scratch repeatly when returning the vehicle. See similar comments on TRUST PILOT 20/9/21
Also very carefull with petrol as if you have not kept the petrol station tiket the try very hard to charge even if you show them it is actually filled in to the top by inserting my finger or a stick.”
“Over 2 months waiting for a refund
I rented a vehicle for six days whilst in Rome. When I arrived to collect the car it was too small to accommodate our luggage and I was told they didn't have anything larger available. I then cancelled the booking and was told that I would lose one day rental and that the remainder would be refunded to my card. Over two months later and despite many emails telling me they would refund, I have received nothing.”
“We returned the car with a full tank (took a picture of it) and then we received an invoice for not having returned the car with a full tank. The customer service doesn't answer the emails and I can't spend even more money to call them in Italy. There wasn't anyone at their office at the parking area neither when I picked up the car nor when I returned it so you have no possibility to check the car's conditions with anyone. Big scam, that's what it is!”

We had a fair fuel policy in the contract. We got a car with an empty fuel tank. When we retuned it in the same state we were charged with a full tank plus the refueling tax!”
“Do not use this company!!! we prebooked and paid £537 in advance for a car a Pisa airport. We turned up before our pick up time of 11.30, waited four hours to try and collect due to a systems fault. We still had six family's in front of us in the queue and had an appointment we could not miss. We ended up having to hire another car for over £600 from another company. Leasys were in breech of contract and still have our money. Leasys have lied to Ryanair about the situation, saying we did not present them with a physical credit card. However we didn't even make it to the desk to speak to them or show them a card. Will be pursuing this will a legal claim”
