I'll try and keep this as short as possible. I went through an unreal time the last 2 years which dwindled my faith in the NHS - Feeling like I would never get answers to problems and resigned myself to living this way forevermore. Today I had an ENT appointment and the consultant was amazing. She dealt with every individual issue I have which I wasn't even expecting ENT to involve themselves with - broke down stages of the past few years into relevance within issues ENT deal with and has put me on the right path to recovering with at home exercises as well as future follow up appointments. - the consultant was nothing short of amazing as I say and is a credit to the NHS and Leicester Royal. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get her name to publicly praise her. Thankyou for restoring my faith in the NHS and my local hospital. I now no longer feel like I'm going around in circles and am actually being taken seriously due to your expertise and help with my problems. Much appreciated.

Attended with abdominal pains and was quickly diagnosed with appendicitis, and later that day had surgery. At every stage was treated with care and respect and the staff who dealt with me were brilliant

Excellent care by all staff involved with my elderly mother. Good communication and she was treated with respect by all. NHS is an absolute privilege - you don’t quite realise that until you need it.

The care and support of the staff here are amazing, I was very well looked after, and the ward was super clean! It's a shame to see the low reviews because people are having to wait around. The NHS are constantly under strain through no fault of there own. Just remember the care they provide you not how long you've had to wait. Thank you to all the staff here your amazing!!

I can’t speak too highly of my recent experiences at LRI visiting on 28th Jan, 30 Jan, 6th Feb, receptionist, consultants, triage staff, X-ray staff, porter and volunteer commitment to care was exemplary the fact that there was a never ending stream of patients never phased them. The kindness shown while dealing with the never ending que is a testament to the NHS concept, yes it may have taken a little time before being seen but each person including myself was treated with great care and importance something rarely seen today, so well done LRI your staff are a credit to the NHS

I was in Barmoral ward 16 and I would like to say there were good and bad staff... But I would like to thank Sam for looking after me on the 16/9/22 she was out standing. Nhs is under funded and the staff do what they can We are so lucky to have free health care thank for all you do.

If you are under the age of 5 the level of care is very good. A and e has a normal wait one of 3 hours.

Went for a emg when I got there the consultant said to me why are you here I had been sent by another consultant he said he had not sent enough information he had at least 3 weeks to get this information but they had shared information about my brother who usually attends with me but could not go this time as he was unwell he wanted to know why he was not there, the consultant had terrible attitude problem no surprised they get threatened if they are all like him

Terrible. Went to MAU told I needed to be kept in. In agony, been waiting 6 hours no one even offered me to water or asked if they can check my obs or anything. Was at a different hospital last week had opposite level of service. May aswell be at home but if I leave they said it’s on me

I got sent to the Leicester a & e today by my crisis team as I consumed antifreez (please don't judge me I have issues) I'm very suicidal the hospital team were amazing until the mental health team were called they sat down from start to finish they were very rude telling me if I was going to Juno off a roof I would of if I was going to drink anti freeze I would have drank enough to kill me when I turned around and said ok I'll try that he had the cheek to say "okay" I am disgusted they clearly did not want to help me no wonder people like myself who clearly need help end up going to UN alive ourselves these 2 need to be trained in mental health. They told staff to discharge me utterly disgusted I want this investigated as I'm passing on this information to someone who will pass it to the right people to make it public if I'm to succeed with suicide. The crisis team called the ambulance I had no intention in going in. So the mental health team are failing. No questions how I'm getting home not even asking if I still had antifreez this is disgusting imagine if they treated your child or family like that. As soon as I told other staff what they were like to me they said to eachother they going to write up. So basically cover their backs. I truly hope the get questioned if I can't save myself I don't want a vulnerable mental health patient to be treated like that. We did not ask to be mentally Ill. I will not let them lazy staff get away with this not should whoever hired them!

111 giving pointless advice which always ends with "go to A and E". 7 hour wait to be told that there is nothing to worry about. Several times during wait asking staff whether symptoms, slowly improving, still need a medical review. Awful experience.

I was with a adult with learning disability who discharged himself as couldn’t wait anymore . . I am then left worrying all night hoping he’s ok for dr in morning .
