“these people make their money from the membership. you choose it by mistake and then you forget to cancel and they charge you every month
be alert and avoid this website”
“Vreselijk bedrijf!
“I wish I had known before buying: Luxplus.fi charges a recurring membership fee after a single purchase if you choose their 'member price.' They market it as the cheapest price, but I only discovered the €9.95/month fee later on. Customer service dismissed my request for a refund, claiming the information was visible, yet it’s clearly not clear enough based on how many people feel misled.
If you're thinking of shopping with Luxplus, be careful—read every term, or you might end up paying much more than you intended.”
“Con people
I only purchased one thing and money was being taken out of my PayPal account on a monthly basis said because I had purchased something I was automatically a member?
They are obtaining money fraudulently.
And needs stopping.”
“Attention
They are not honest ! They propose attractive prices to make you subscribe a membership and the they continue to take your money every month without your permission ! When you refuse they start to send you mails to demand more money! Scandalous !! I denounced them ! Be very careful”
“what went wrong? EVERY THING FROM THE START. So, I think it was by design.
There is practically no tel number to contact. one for Monday ONLY for two hours
and chat? send as many requests as you like. NEVER A RESPONSE.
Stop payment? NO ! They send a hostile debt collector after you.”
“Ik bestel hier niks ik waarschuw iedereen die hier wilt bestellen je koopt wat op hún webshop maar zonder dat je het weet heb je opeens een betalend lidmaatschap wat nergens duidelijk vermeld staat als je niet betaald dreigen ze met incassobureau tip lees eerst reviews voor dat je hier wat koopt”
“In line with the majority of the consumers below, my experience of this company is that they have used manipulation and concealment to deduct regular payments from me. In my case, over £70 during the course of the last 8 months, for absolutely nothing.
This happens when you make a purchase and sign up to membership/subscription, (which whilst they do put in some form of writing, they do not make very explicit). They then rely on you forgetting/missing the small print about cancelation, and make every effort to burry terms and conditions and hide the payments they take from you from then onwards.
Here are the methods they used:
• The burial of terms and conditions upon agreeing to subscription in an email entitled ‘order confirmation’ (the purchase receipt of the original product purchased), rather than anything that is clearly distinguishable as such
• The absence of any reminder of the end of the trial period
• The absence of any invoices and payments taken in email communications
• The absence of any other communications discussing membership or offering the chance to cancel (throughout the 8 months I have been unknowingly subscribed)
• The use of continuous payment authority (CPA), rather than direct debit to deduct payments, which means there are fewer consumer rights and controls around payments, and less chance that subscribers will see these payments coming out of their account
For the reasons above, i only realised i was subscribed upon happening to check my transactions in my online banking today, when they payment appeared.
When i wrote to them explaining that i felt manipulated and to please refund my money as a gesture of goodwill, they refused. I was then very shocked to see how many other people have had the exact same experience.
I imagine they will reply stating that they do spell out the terms and conditions in their original email. However, as per all the items listed above, this simply isnt good enough and i feel genuinely sad that this is how some businesses now rely on making money. It really needs clamping down on by the government.
I am taking this up with trading standards in the interest of fairness and transparency.”
“Luxplus is a group of gangsters who trick you into an expensive 9,95€/month membership. This has never been displayed when making my first and last ever order. I have terminated my membership and will definitely inform everyone about this fraudulent bunch of thugs.”
