“For Christmas I received the man crate jerky box. It is terrible The meat is like leather and has no flavor. Don't waste your money.”

“75.00 for a cardboard box full of beef jerky. No crate, nothing special, just a cardboard box with maybe 20.00 of jerky in it. I do not recommend. 7/11 and a local UPS store would be better.”

“Ordered the taco making crate as a Christmas gift. Had them gift wrap it. It arrived and the odor was overwhelming. I opened the package and found the taco sauce bottles had broken and had soaked the wooden crate and interior box and items. Everything inside was soaked; it was all covered. Called Mancrates and they said they would send a replacement and they did not want this one back. I told them it was all unusable and sent pictures. I had to throw it away, the entire thing. The new one arrived and all they sent was the sauces, they did not replace the kit as promised. The other crate was ruined, soaked in sauce and all the other items were also covered. I paid extra for the wrapping. Then all they send is 2 bottles of sauce. The crate, all the other items, the wrapping; I'm just out for. No refund, nothing. This is the second year in a row we had issues and this one is ridiculous. Beware, do not use this company.”

“Don't order from this company! I made a mistake on my order which was placed after business hours. I immediately sent a email to their order contact listed on their website. I didn't hear back during the day about it so I called them. The support representative I talked to said sorry, nothing we can do about it now because you waited all day. I said, "I didn't wait, I sent you a email literally 5 minutes after placing my order." She replied "Ya, we're like super busy and having a hard time keeping up with emails, chats and phone calls." I said, "Respectfully, not my problem that you're understaffed or whatever the issue is." She replied simply, "Apologize, nothing we can do." What a horrible company. I'll simply deny shipment so they can eat the cost both ways and have the credit card company return my money. So stupid!”

“They sent a product that did not match the description and because I didn't get around to making until 90 days after it arrive so I didn't know til then, they refused to make it right.”

“Do not order from this company! I ordered the steak crate for my sons birthday, he never received it, kept telling me out of stock for weeks! I finally had to cancel the order to get my money back. Very disappointed”

“Do not order from these people. Ordered over three weeks ago for a very special 50th birthday. Inquired about my order as it did not arrive on the day picked. They blame fed ex even though the tracking number was just created, after my inquiry. Now I have to scramble to try and have a gift delivered for the birthday so it doesn't look like I forgot. $100 down the toilet. Zero resolution and wasted money. So disappointed.”

“I ordered a gift for my husband on Jan 30th for Valentine's day. It said it would arrive by February 4th. I than got an update 3 days before Valentine's day saying it wouldn't be delivered until February 16th. What is the point in planning ahead if the company is going to mess it up. I than went to their website and their advertising how if you order by Friday the 11th they will get the item to you by Monday. Well that's funny since they can't get the item I ordered on time. Worse company ever! Now I have to scramble to find him another gift. I ended up cancelling the order I placed because I don't need it after Valentine's day.”

“I am now furious with my mancrates experience. I just returned home to find the decanter had leaked all over my kitchen counter. Leaked in to my mail, sentimental items, in to the directions for the itself, and on the knife making kit. I was already struggling to like the company after having to make two separate orders instead of buy one, get one 50% off. Two separate orders, two separate shipping and now, two separate disasters. I will not recommend or order from them again. I had read a few other reviews that had leaking decanters and was skeptical. However, I went ahead and shelled out almost 300 with shipping, going off the good review of customer service. I left a message and will update my review if I do receive (or do not) receive an acceptable response.”

“READ THIS REVIEW-I ordered Wednesday. of Father’s Day week. Father’s Day was Sunday so I picked Saturday delivery. Saturday came and it says fedex delayed to Sunday. All day I wait for it but it doesn’t come. Sorry husband no gifts for you! Here it is Monday at 3:30 pm and nothing. I track my package and it says expect on Tuesday. This is bad business! If you cannot get it delivered and need us to pay more than charge it. It was supposed to a fedex guaranteed delivery on Saturday the 19th. Man crates needs to fix this issue. I will update if I ever see it.”

“The company is a gimmick: nothing more than some cheap but still expensive way of trying to convince weak men that they know what true high quality craftmanship and tools are. Anyone who would buy this for a man who works in a garage or shop is wasting their money. For the knife making crates--the steel used for the blades is not a good choice, its usually cheap steel that dulls after not long. It's fine for a kitchen knife but any sort of survival knife would be useless after a short while. Even the tools that come in the kits are cheap and seem very poor quality. Examples are the bench vises and rasps they send with their kits-very low quality metals and steels used. A real man would be far better off using his own tools to complete the kit, and whoever is buying this crate for him would be better off saving their money. This company must spend far more on advertising and decorating their cardboard boxes than they put into the actual quality of items they send to "men." Save your money please and spend it on a quality gift for the person in your life.”

“I was supposed to receive my SO Valentine's gift February 13th. Shipping was delayed until the 14th. Ok cool.... it's now been delayed 4 times... it's now February 17th with nothing... talked to both shipping company and man crates. Promised a call back. Completely sucks expecting a gift for valentine's day and nothing... then I can't even get a response after addressing the issue... complete bummer.”

“Ordered in January for Valentines Day. I requested it to arrive on Feb 13th. When I called 2/13 they told me it would arrive Monday Feb 15th. So much for Valentines day. Their only response is they sent it Feb 8th and it should have arrived by FedEx had weather related issues. Seriously!? They should have sent it earlier knowing there were weather delays across the US.”

“I ordered a crate for a Valentine’s gift for someone in a different state. I paid extra for 2 day shipping. They mailed the gift to my billing address, instead of the shipping address I had provided (same shipping address listed in my confirmation/notification of being shipped email).”

“WARNING! Order did not arrive when promised. Tracking now indicates that my order arrival date is “pending.” Contacted customer service and have not received a response. I regret ordering from this company and encourage others to not to as well.”

“They say you can “Pick your delivery date” WRONG! Crates are TINY! I bought my husband a jerky crate for his birthday. I picked a delivery date during the week so my husband wouldn’t be home. The Sunday before we were sitting in the garage and all of a sudden the Federal Express guy shows up and drop the package off in our garage. My husband went to go pick it up and lo and behold the package has “Man Crates” packing tape all over the outside. He knew what it was immediately. To save grace, he acted like he didn’t. I grabbed the box and took it upstairs to open it. I also paid for the “Doom Tape” to be wrapped outside the box. It was just one layer of duct tape around the box. Which would have been OK except or the corners weren’t sealed and he could just grab it and rip it off. Not worth the $10 I paid. Total let down for the money.”

“Don’t ever buy from this company because it’s a scam. I doubt they’ll even let me review go through so they can keep their image. I ordered this product from them 3 WEEKS before Fathers Day to give it plenty of time to come. The expected date of delivery was this past Thursday the 18th. After I ordered I NEVER got any updates on status of shipping which should have been my first clue. The 18th came and still nothing so I reach out to customer service on the 19th (THREE DAYS before Fathers Day) letting them know that I have not received my order or an update and that I was getting worried. Friday night I get a response that if I haven’t received and update that my order has just been lost and that I can’t even get a replacement because it’s out of stock but if I wanted something of similar price they could send that or just give a refund. I emailed back literally 10 min after the response I was given because Fathers Day is nearly here and ask if anything can get here in time? I’ll pay differences, shipping, I don’t care at this point I just don’t want to be left empty handed. Saturday afternoon rolls around (The day before Father’s Day) and still no response back so I call. The lady on the phone tells me that I am being issues a refund and that a replacement product has already been sent out and will be here today. I was confused but relieved because I thought the item was out of stock but hey at least I was going to get something in time for Fathers Day and the refund was just an added bonus. Now a few hours after taking to this lady I finally now get a response from the lady I was originally talking to through email who has informed me that nothing is coming, nothing can get here in time, but here’s a refund that should post is 1-5 business days. We’ll see if that actually happens because so far everything this company has told me has a been a downright lie and honestly I’m not even expecting a refund because I think this company is just a scam. So now it is 7pm the day before Father’s Day and I have absolutely nothing to show for it except for the fact that I’m out $70 and no present for Father’s Day. This company should be ashamed of themselves for scamming people like this. I will be making sure no one I know EVER orders from this company.”

“What a way to ruin a promising father's day gift. Disappointed beyond belief with Man Crates. I waited two weeks for a call regarding why they cancelled the order I put in 2 months ago; instead I received an email from the supervisor 2 DAYS before fathers day. Per company policy, supervisors are not to take calls directly from customers. I usually don't pull a "Karen" because it is tacky, but for a company to be oblivious to customer service mannerism has me looking elsewhere for gifts in the future.”
