I couldn't let the experience go by without commending the driver we had on this route.
I don't use the bus very much but on this occasion Gatwick Airport had just announced an evacuation and everyone of course went to find a bus stop so they were swarming with people trying to get home after holidays etc.
The 1st Driver took us to Gatwick Road then swapped over with a 2nd one who had to stop several times and reboot the bus due to a loud screeching sound, each time he had to stop he clearly told the bus load what he was doing but some ignorant passengers of course showed their discontent!!
Then in Crawley town centre he was verbally abused by 2 ladies, The Driver was extremely professional and kept his cool under difficult circumstances...Well done that man.”
“You to ride in the buses due to having car issues, but so far, I've been pleasantly surprised by the courtesy and help offered by all members of the Metro team. Friday, the 19th of April on my way to work. I unfortunately forgot to pick up my phone so that stayed on the bus while I went to work. Contacting the Crawley travel shop for some advice was super easy and very informative. Using the find my iPhone app to locate my phone, it had been handed in and was available for me to collect the following day, I really kind lady on the desk on Saturday afternoon around 5 pm. It's so kind and thoughtful she had used initiative to check the phone for battery had died popped it on charge for me know I'd have to open it to be able to receive it back.. although rubbish situation to be in it was really hasslefree and everybody was really helpful and polite, so a massive thank you Thank you, I want to see if there's any”
“A big Thank you for Metrobus today. When the bus came at 12.25 I was with my daughter who’s in a wheelchair, the bus driver told me there’s already someone else in the wheelchair area but straight away he called us a taxi, he was very very nice!!! I was really happy. It was raining and it’s Sunday so buses don’t come frequent. Than the taxi came after like 20mins. Thank you so much nice , kind bus driver hope there’s is a lot like you 👍 keep it up 👍”
“I'm 12 but I know a lot about metro bus some people like it some do not but I personally love it it's so good I love it having USB and free WiFi and it a really good that there reacting to climate change by getting hydrogen electric busses and really good just one thing can you improve route 23 by using nicer busses with USB and free WiFi and maby not using the old busses (6551 and 6550) maby use the hydrogen electric busses but really good services i really recommend metro bus and thanks metro bus you really deserve it”
“Took the bus today from Manor Royal central this afternoon around 16:30 towards Maidenbower (100) and would have left without my AirPods which dropped to the floor whilst getting on the bus. Driver was kind enough to notice and notify me. Not an easy job dealing with public all day and working long hours. Appreciate the assistance from this gentleman and would like to personally thank you for your service sir!”
“Thank you to driver 58 on the square peg bus service from Leeds - Colton , I had no cash just contactless but had no idea the number 9 didn't have an upgraded contactless machine so the kind gentleman dropped me in crossgates free of charge! Faith in humanity restored, I little kindness goes a long way! God bless you”
