“I ordered and paid the extra for express delivery, and item was sent over a week later only after I had emailed. Express delivery charges were refunded, item arrived 1 1/2 weeks after ordering and as I had already left on my holiday no one was there to accept delivery so package sent back to postal office. I will return from holiday and package will have already been sent back to modi body warehouse as unclaimed. Pretty much ruined the first week of my holiday as I needed the period swimwear.”
“I am happy with the product but absolutely not happy with the initial service as I paid for express shipping (1-3 days) on the 4th Jan and did not receive the product until the 12th Jan. “I was disappointed that the sweat-free bra is same as one I have. Not as it appeared in product photo! I rarely wear the other, as the cups are too big amd spongy. I don't see how it qualifies as sweat free.
However, the Smiley boyshorts look good, and I look forward to wearing them on hot days.”
“I've bought from modibodi a few times. The first time, over 5 years ago, I followed the size guide and bought a bundle in size 8. I thought this was strange but measured myself multiple times and concluded yes, I should definitely order a size 8. They were extremely tight and I was unable to wear them.
After that, I bought a few more pairs in my usual size, size 12, and almost all of them fit perfectly, with the exception of a pair of boyshorts that was somehow both too tight over the bum and thighs and too loose over my stomach.
Last year, I was excited to buy a couple pairs of seamless underwear - I bought those in a size 12. The sizing was ridiculously off. The hips fit well, but the crotch is incredibly loose and hangs low (roughly an inch too low) for some reason. These ones, despite being loose, are comfortable. I pull the waistband up high enough that they are usable - and get an incredible cameltoe in the process. Oh, well.
I have now bought multiple new pairs and once again they almost all fit well.
I bought a pair similar to the ones I bought originally in a size 8, but this time in a size 14. And they fit perfectly.
I bought 2 other pairs in a size 12. They both fit wonderfully.
I also bought 2 pairs of swim bottoms - a pair of shorts which fits well, and the hi-leg cheeky bottoms in a size 12. The latter are a size too big and fit my sister, size 14, perfectly. They also have the added bonus of giving you the worst cameltoe you've probably ever seen. We are both quite upset about this, as I'm unable to wear them, and she will have to wear swimshorts over them when she is swimming on her period.
For the high price of these products, I'm really disappointed that these sizing issues have continued over the many years I've bought from Modibodi. I've overlooked the problems in the past because I love the products that DO fit and they're both cute and effective - but because of these continuous problems, I hesitate to buy from here again. PLEASE do better.”
“I’m not usually someone who leaves reviews, but this experience was very disappointing. I placed an order on 1 Jan at 10pm and shortly after realised I had ordered the wrong item (a brief instead of a set of bikini). As the order hadn’t been dispatched, I emailed to either change the delivery address or cancel the order.
I was initially told it hadn’t been over 24 hours and they would see what could be done. I replied requesting cancellation, but then received a response saying the order had been processed and neither option was possible — even though it still hadn’t been dispatched. This directly contradicted the earlier response.
When I questioned this, I was told it was due to an automated response and nothing could be done. I also received the order on 12 Jan, despite the stated delivery timeframe being 3–5 business days, with no updates or apology for the delay.
Overall, once you place an order, you’re stuck. Returns require paying all delivery fees, making it not worth it. Very poor system and customer experience.”
“Have loved my modibodis so far!! My only complaint is the way that the tags are attached to the undies, I found it really hard to remove the tags without damaging the fabric. Maybe they could be attached another way? But since then I have had no problems at all, am so glad I purchased!!”
