currently in dispute with Moneybarn over my agreement 923923, which they mysteriously cannot access when i ask for a settlement figure. have been promised multiple callbacks and resolutions within 48 hours over the past 6 weeks but as a company they seem insistent on refusing to allow me to settle early to continue reaping interest on an agreement i want to clear off. utterly reprehensible company i would advise anyone looking to finance a car to avoid like the plague

I would give 0 stars if I could! Awful, awful, awful! Extremely greedy! They don’t care at all. Don’t go with them! They are horrendous money grabbers who do not care about your situation at all unless they are getting their money! Not good. Heartless people.

Avoid Like the Plague ! This is the worst company out there. They will lend you money if you have credit issues but the second you sign that contract say bye bye to anything you have. They have 0 customer service, 0 idea about anything. All they do is wait for you to go to work and steal your car off you without telling you they have taken it back THIEVES. I paid over 20k interest in 25k borrowed which is absolutly ridiculous. Staff 0 service 0 friendlyness 0 Avoid i am reporting them to everyone and to the news

Well what can I say what an absolute joke this company is. The turbo went on my vehicle along with several other faults within the first six months. My vehicle has been parked up deemed unsafe to drive for over 6 weeks now! Moneybarn are ignoring every call and email I have been unable to work for 6 weeks now and still getting nowhere. AVOID at all costs.

They are sharks , borrowed £14,999 in Nov 2022 and I am about to settle , total cost in interest since then , you won’t be surprised , around £5800 in interest , dont think taking a loan and paying it back quick works out as I thought , lesson here is , don’t trust lenders and check the company thoroughly, how can a £14,999 loan attract £5800 in interest over 7 months , if you see this and are thinking it’s wrong ,apparently it’s not

Moneybarn incorrectly reported to the credit file agency that I had missed payments and even though they acknowledged this was incorrect they refused to send me documentation to verify this or put a notice of correction on my credit report. This resulted in me being refused a mortgage .

Scumbags I was scammed for over 20k finance at 35APR on very bad credit no questions asked. I was put u der duress at car garage and signed over logbook. 4 years later I'm receiving court summons. These people treat you like liars and slaves and should be closed down. Worst customer service ever and hostile behaviour.

Absolutely awful Company. Break every rule in the book. How they are still trading is beyond a joke. I had 7 days to contact them and arrange everything. I contacted them on the 7th day it’s not my fault the advisor I spoke with didn’t get the adequate training to deal With my query. She left a note on the account. Someone rang me 24 hours later and then desired to get agents involved? Currently getting advice from a solicitor because this is beyond a joke. Every rule broken. And in this current cost of living crisis this is a joke.

Worst company to get your car finance with. Spoke to someone on the phone and he literally didnt even speak unless i asked a question. the line went silent for about 2 minutes at one point. I have paid over £14k on a 8k car with 1k left to pay and they wont accept a payment plan as my work payment have reduced due to paternety leave. Pathetic

2nd time going through moneybarn and it has been an absolute nightmare , unprofessional staff who try pass the blame onto their coworkers, they are more than happy to take your money but when it comes to them paying money out be prepared to sit on the phone for over an hour on hold , never again will I use this company I’m currently reporting them to the ombudsman for theft as they owe me money and are refusing to pay out

Awlful company to have finance with my recommendation is to avoid this company. Ongoing complaint for over 5 months on a car i cannot use due to engine faults and moneybarn customer services and complaints department dont return calls or emails they do bot care about there customers who have a vehicle they can't use but have to pay each month on a car with engine problems when it was sold from car dealer. Avoid this company.

WARNING!!!! Please stay well clear of Moneybarn, how on earth they are legally allowed to trade is beyond me. They prey on the vulnerable, they want you to get into difficulty, they want to take your car back and STILL charge you for the full amount. Moneybarn and everyone who works there, you are an absolute disgrace, and you have blood on your hands, for some people like me, it's the limit of what they can take.

If I could rate this as -5 I would, their customer service I can't say is appalling as they don't answer, I have been emailing since Monday this week, 4 times to be exact, No response, I have called numerous times to be answered after 25 - 30 minutes of being on hold and then immediately cut off, I am trying to sort an issue out for a family member and we had until today to sort, well I can't sort if they won't reply to emails or calls, I hope they don't try to take this family member to court as I have all of the proof of the emails and calls, so will be able to prove its them not contacting us and that we tried. Appalling company if you want any help, if you want a loan and get into debt with them they love to answer the phone, Steer clear and try a reputable company.

NOT HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I found 1 email in my junk email folder about a couple of payments that hadn’t came out by direct debit due to a clerical issue as this is a company van I never received any phone calls regarding this during this time so wasn’t even aware there was an issue upon discovering there email I phoned straight away to make payment and resolve the issue , I was informed that they would pursue court action and they had instructed another company to collect the vehicle which is a work van That’s my family’s livelihood even although I told piers the person I was dealing with that I could pay the amount in full at that time he wasn’t interested and I was informed there was nothing he could do which seems very strange that they would rather terminate an agreement and send debt collectors to collect a vehicle over a couple of missed payments that as soon as it came to my attention that there was even an issue I called straight away and could pay the full amount at that time to resolve the issue he also said they had been trying to call me ( we had received no calls) , at that time I requested a call back from a manager to try and resolve the issue and was told that I would receive a call within 48 hours , this is nearly 72 hours later still no call back from a manager to assist , still no idea what’s happening , my partner is 9 months pregnant and shouldn’t be having to worry about this unnecessary stress and worrying if my van is going to be taken away which is our only source of income have explained countless times that this situation has happened as an oversight in our companies accounts department and there are absolutely no issues whatsoever with regards to affordability or anything like that upon reading other customers reviews it seems this seems to be a recurring theme with this company and one person that seems to be mentioned in loads of these complaints is PIERS who just so happens to be the person that I had been dealing with , I have been told my van will be removed and there will be a court date pending a debt collection company has contacted me twice to arrange collection of the vehicle all over a missed payment that could have already been paid by now , have informed the company that I’m still waiting on a call back from a manager from moneybarn to resolve the issue and explained the full situation to them and that I don’t feel comfortable letting them take the vehicle when I have received no calls from the company prior to this never mind paperwork terminating the agreement , ABSOLUTE MADNESS !!!!! , I will also be seeking legal advice regarding this and if necessary contact the financial ombudsman to help resolve the issue all I have seen is negative reviews from people in the exact same situation and the company was fined 33 million pounds for the way they where conducting business you would think they would have learned there lesson . I still have faith i will eventually get to talk to someone with a bit of sense in there head and get this simple issue resolved , I have been left no choice but to call moneybarn back to pursue a conversation with a manager to resolve the issue which I will do tomorrow morning and also raise a formal complaint with moneybarn about this matter , this review , emails etc have all been recorded from the outset , very strange situation to be left in with a company that i had put my trust in when buying a new vehicle Only 6 Months Ago , NOT HAPPY !!!!!!!

I have just been told my agreement has been terminated. When I was told it would be put on hold till the end of the month when I can pay. From the start of having this agreement I have nothing but trouble. Phone not being answered when they did phone me as I answered the phone was hung up. Just shocking they say there to help when covid hit emailed asking for a payment holiday. To eventually being told I had arrears because somebody didn't bother to read the emails and respond back. Half of the rears are the holiday payments away so really should only have half of what they are asking for. I wouldn't use them as far as I could throw them.
