MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE I reached out to RANGEPRO.ORG regarding a concern with my account, and their support team truly impressed me. They were quick to respond, clear in their communication, and efficient in resolving the situation. Everything was set right, and my funds were promptly returned. My experience with Moneybarn has been nothing short of a nightmare, leading to significant financial harm and distress. In July 2021, I updated my address with Moneybarn. However, due to their own admitted "administrational error," they created a fabricated, non-existent hybrid address on my account. Despite this admission in their final response (22/07/2025), they then used this incorrect address to serve an unlawful Default Notice on 21 December 2021 (a clear breach of the Consumer Credit Act). This illegally served default then led to: An unlawful repossession of my vehicle without proper notice. My credit file being severely and wrongly damaged with an inaccurate default. The consequences have been devastating. This unlawful default has caused me over £9,859 in documented financial losses, including higher interest rates on new car finance and my mortgage, and significant costs related to alternative transport. Moneybarn has refused to fully rectify this despite admitting their error. I have now formally escalated my complaint to both the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) and the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) due to their data inaccuracy and illegal actions. Be warned: Moneybarn's administrative failures and subsequent refusal to properly fix their own errors can ruin your financial standing. Their data handling is appalling.

Discovering that I had fallen victim to a scam left me grappling with a mix of emotions - embarrassment, anger, and a sense of uncertainty regarding my next course of action. Honestly the worst experience I’ve had with car finance company, I’ve been paying my car finance with no problem until I lost my job due to being pregnant. I explained to them that I can still make monthly payments but missed one month due to payment from previous employer. I explained this to them and then terminated my contract while I was in labour after make months of payments I explained that I couldn’t transfer money into the account due to being in labour it was out of my control. After this I still had to make monthly payments after the contact had been terminated and sent off to court due to missed payments. Still waiting to see what the courts say

I have never been a person to miss payments and consider myself as a good customer, but after asking for a settlement figure on the 23rd of November 2024 after paying 4640 pound on my behalf I was short of £80 which I was genuinely unaware of coming short, I questioned if I could pay the remaining money to clear the bill they told me that was not possible I’d need a new settlement figure (this was before I knew I was being made redundant) so I explained I was made redundant and I payed all that out of the last of my money I had I explained to them as being a father of 3 and struggling with my mental health for a few months and struggling to meet ends meet, feeling as I wasn’t good enough for my kids, so they said I would be able to get a refund in the next 10 working days, so meanwhile I waited… as a good gesture my brother payed for a trip to take my mind off things on the 13 of December , I still haven’t received anything and they said they can’t do nothing it’s down to the finance department, ruined my holiday as I was hoping to get my money back from money barn… also Christmas I haven’t been able give my children much so over all they have caused me a lot of stress and I’m at breaking point, spoke to mangers etc and just failed hope spoke to a specialist who was supposed to call me with a update and nothing, and no contact from the complaints team, they have really ruined a special time of the year with my kids, never been back and for the doctors so much with my depression which this have impacted a lot of stress, I’m behind on all my bills because they haven’t returned my money like promised, coming up to 40 days please I advise anyone they are high interest finance and customer service is shocking

Car broke down after purchasing it, needed a clutch and slave cylinder. When it was in, there was no record of a timing belt being done. £4000 later out my pocket they would not refund or reduce any payments. So, on top of a 100% interest rate I had to pay 4k to fix the vehicle, it cost 9k to buy from the garage, they sold it to me for 18k and I had spend 4k to fix it. What an absolute nightmare this company is. I'm out 22k for an 9k car.

Please stay away from Moneybarn! If you have issues with your veichle they are so unprofessional. They will not listen or communicate, finally won my case after 6 months after providing ridiculous amounts of evidence despite issues being very clear. Also had to get FOS involved so they would listen - now they owe me a refund they have not paid and ignore all calls and emails. Honestly the worst company EVER!

Dragged on so long the car was sold then was denied even though it was approved and then asked for payslips when it wasn't required at the start. Avoid!

They have no tolerance for people with disabilities or mental problems and do nothing but make things worse when they are able to once they have their claws in you. How they warrant expecting someone to pay the full amount after 3 years and no interest for 2 is a joke
