Northampton Mr clutch, do NOT go here, it is one of those big autocentres that like to charge lady's for work that dose not need doing, I sent the wife to get an mot on the car, I knew the brakes needed doing badly, so told the wife to let them do the work, as I didn't have time to do them, and she needed the car back quickly for school run, they also said that the front wheel bearing was worn and needed replacing, being in a panic the wife agreed to the work. what she didn't know was that I had changed both front wheel bearings not more than six months before, I find this very hard to believe that this work needed to be done, I rang the manager with my complaint and told him I was not very happy and said to him I would like the failed part back to check, his reply was its a bit hard to prove now its not on the car. Mr clutch you are a let down, I will never use you again, and try my hardest to warn everybody I can about you, so if your reading this PLEASE STAY AWAY, this company has sales quota's it need to meet, and can charge you for work that dose not need doing. Not very happy, and if your reading this and you still take your car here, you have been warned.

The service was carried out fine as far as I am aware however after a couple of days the service light came up on the dashboard again. Not sure why. Also booked the Gold Plus but still have not received my privilege card. When queried with the garage advised that the manager (who has now left) entered the wrong Service level in the system. Am now left wondering whether my car received the Gold Plus service I paid for or the Gold service that was entered into the database.

Having been serviced at Platts of Marlow 3 weeks before, I was somewhat dismayed when my Mondeo estate failed the MOT on rear brake balance. The nearside tyre had worn more than the other. Despite being booked solid, the reception chap said to leave the car at Mr Clutch and he would try to get someone to look at it if there was a spare half hour. There wasn't, but we did the same the next day and the problem, a sticky calliper, was cleaned and regreased between other jobs. Top marks for sorting this out so well. A real effort to keep a customer mobile. Well done.

Mechanic parked car without putting up handbrake. It rolled into another car. Mechanic initially expressed remorse and 2hrs later a call from head office comes in saying it was driver error. Regional manager for Tilehurst branch not interested in taking the call. A bunch of cow boys. Please avoid.

Very straight forward. Alway's kept informed. Will be the fourth M.O.T. No, problem of going back.

The warning light for air pressure was on when I dropped off my car for MOT test and I asked if the air pressure of tyres could be checked in particular one tyre had very low pressure. When I picked up the car the air pressure was not checked and I ask if it was done and I was told that the air pressure gauge was not working and no air was pumped into the tyre that had very low air pressure.

My car was failed on 4 points, only one of which the garage that repaired my indicator switch agreed with. The others were marginal calls

It was very easy to book a service and mot on line. I dropped the car off in the morning and received a call later in the day when it was finished. The car was parked up ready for me to collect. I was given a booklet with my invoice inside and my service book had been stamped. The only downside was that I didn't receive a service sheet advising me of the parts of the car that had been checked etc. I have contacted them but waiting for a reply. I have used Mr Clutch for three years.

I dropped car off Friday for service the following day. Garage was happy to keep my car till Monday (as I was unable to get back to them over the weekend) which was reassuring. I was contacted by the manager on the Monday, who explained the issues with my vehicle and had already priced this up for me. This allowed me to make a decision over the phone straight away and the quotes provided were very reasonable. Service was very good from the team
