“Sent two phones in perfect condition. Both were in identical packaging and boxes, sent from same post office at same time. Received an email to say LCD was damaged on one of phones and offer would be greatly reduced”

“Sent iPhone 7 to them with a quote of £140. They offered me £85 as they said it had deep scratches on the front. It did not. Asked for phone to be returned and have just received £125 from another online company. Should have gone with them in the first place Won't bother with MusicMagpie again.”

“Appalling, never again. On the face of it, fine until you have a warranty claim. These guys are crooks and/or their stock keeping accuracy is woeful and they’re blindly unrepentant. I also now understand their refurbishments do not usually use OEM parts, or even good quality substitutes. Hence my need for a warranty claim after 11 months. The two iPhone7’s they sold me for a cool £300 per phone both died simultaneously for no apparent reason (screens and cases intact), but they now tell me one of them has an IMEI number which does not match their records and are using this to dodge the warranty claim. Fine if true, but it’s clearly the identical phone they sent me. This IMEI number appears nowhere on the paperwork issued with the products and so is clearly unverifiable to me and to anyone else outside the company. The perfect scam. Be warned, I suspect strongly this is not the first time they’ve pulled this stunt and I’m now down £300, or more if the next one goes! I’m complaining to Trading Standards. If nothing else, make a clear dated note of the IMEI number on any phone purchased with these guys (I hope not for your sake) or indeed anyone else as soon as it is delivered.”

“I got my money as promised but last time I didn't my phone was worth £125 and they offered me £20 for an iPhone 6 that was working well and had no screen cracks only little scratches.”

“Phone went faulty within a year. Had to send of for repair. When I received it back the phone was covered in chips which weren’t there when I sent it. MusicMagpie refused to accept this or do anything about it. Totally unacceptable. I will never use them again.”

“This company continues to change its prices on Ebay promotion days, at any time of day. Yesterday the Lp I was watching changed from £17.78 pence to £18.02 pence at 5.00 pm, puting me off buying it and another Lp. They do this all the time puting me off buying from them frequently, and it's just to squeeze some extra pennies out of the customer if ebay are offering a percentage off music magpie promotion. This happens far too frequently. I'm surprised they've got the man power to go through every record price and change it, but they seem to do it day by day. I'm surprised they don't realise that this is puting off customers like myself, and because of this I despise the company, plus their customer service is really terrible, making me feel that they do not give a xxx about the customer. AVOID like the plague.”

“Easy enough to sell. Although you can only put one item in per box. Payment comes through quickly and advice given if you’re phone is locked. Apparently if it’s had find my iPhone on it and you haven’t removed it from your iCloud this is still classed as being locked! Money came through promptly. Continual emails if your phone is locked so important to check your trash/junk box.”
