It’s effortless to buy and sell. The website is good and the selling process via the app is slick. Beware some things are worth nothing but as long as you’re happy with the price it couldn’t be simpler.

My friend suggested I try MusicMagpie. I was a bit sceptical at first, but as I was moving house, I thought I'd give it a try, rather than throw my things out. Every little helps, as they say, and it all added up to a nice sum. Recommended.

Made an honest mistake of using the same label for all three packages I sent off, first two got there fine (although one item was reduced from £135 to £70) but they claim to have not received the last batch and somehow have tried to persuade me that is has disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not as positive as we'd have hoped. As a number of orders were sent, we would need unique labels attached to each box for each order. We'll send you a pack and send guide for each specific order so it can be tracked and is covered should we need to claim. Really good at accepting all products no matter what quality, only took a week to receive the payment after the label was sent and I sent the products back

Liars, cheats. Offered me a revised offer of £15 after an initial offer of £127! Said there was screen burn, liars that's all they are. Instructed them to return my device.

Hello, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, when your device was received and tested, it was found that the item had screen burn. For clarity, a screen burn is where you can see a faint outline of something that was once on the screen - such as an icon, the time, or lines - showing mainly on clear white screen. As this is a fault with the LCD we are not able to offer a higher price than offered for this order. We have a tech price promise in place to ensure the best outcome for our customers. Overall good servive. Enteting alot of barcodes is a little tedious as could not get scanner on phone to work. Very prompt payment was great. Would be nice to receive a little more for each item but hey ho I suppose that is the market value.

I was quoted £189.72 for an old iMac in good condition. Upon sending it in MusicMagpie assessed the iMac and claimed it was faulty. They sent me an image they used to justify their evaluation of the machine, showing two tiny blemishes on the hard glass. (Look up Imgur image frxL50T to see what they sent me) As you can see there are two barely noticeable blemishes to the hard glass on the front of the iMac, with the screen still being FULLY functional. Customer services has outright refused to reconsider the grading, opting to skip over grading it as poor and only offer the Faulty price of £37.94. MM is clearly chancing it on a number of machines in the hope that customers will decide that the hassle of getting the machine back is too much to bother with and they can bag themselves a bargain. With phones its easy to get the item back, but to get an iMac of this size back would require me to take a day off work to await the delivery which further skews the economics of their offer. Think twice about sending MM any items that will be a logistical problem to take back when they play their grading games.

Hello James, We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. The blemishes found on the screen of the device showed signs of liquid damage upon testing, which is why the device was regraded to faulty. When an item is regraded, the revised offer is final so unfortunately, customer services wouldn't have been able to change the grading on the item. This meant the item could not be in good condition as originally listed, but fits the description of a poor condition device. Mostly an easy and smooth transaction however after receiving an email saying “your item has arrived at our warehouse and as your items arrived before 2pm we’ll issue payment today” there were no further updates for 3 days (over a weekend.) I did not receive payment “same day” as is promised and promoted on the website and alluded to in their email, but several days later. This in itself wouldn’t have been much of an issue, but lack of any communication regarding what was happening was frustrating and I was left wondering what was happening and if there was a problem. Improved communication regarding order status and fulfilling the “same day” promise would improve my rating from 4* to 5*.
