“The plates themselves were great, and delivery was quick, my only moan was a request I made by email for a difference in the spacing of the letters was ignored and this was disappointing”

Hi Kirk, Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you taking time out to do this. I have looked at your order and can confirm that your order was processed and manufactured as you designed it. We can of course carry out a design service, this can be selected in our plate designer page by selecting design required in the background option. “Easy to specify, clear pricing policy, delivery quick, well pleased. An improvement was that you requested email address but did not offer a order confirmation and had to request order acknowledgement.”

“I ordered 3 sets of plates and the order was delivered exactly as described and delivery was quick. The plates are of a good quality and came with a protective cover on the plate. The ordered fixings look to be of a good quality (although not fitted yet). I would order replacement plates again.”

“The choice of options on the website is stunning, but the "live" image as you build your plate makes it enjoyable (and keeps an updated cost of all your selections). Delivery was prompt and the finished article was everything I had expected. Recommended!”

“Very good quick service, just make sure you get any extras such as Logo's, Flags etc right 1st time as once the order goes in it can't be changed if you want alterations”

Hi Ian, Thanks for leaving us your feedback, we are happy to have been of service. When carrying out the design on our plate builder page all your options are clearly displayed on the left hand side allowing you to see exactly what you are designing, we can of course carry out a design service if this is what you required. As you did not choose this option your order was simply processed according to your design. Once orders are processed and manufactured to your specifications they can not be cancelled, being a bespoke product these can not be resold to anyone else, I am sure you can appreciate this. “I purchased a set of plates for my wife car as I had brought a private plate. I clicked everything to be British standard and legal. The plates arrived with no issues stuck them on the car and sent the car for MOT and service the next day. The car failed its MOT due to the plates not being legal as there was no space between the letter and the number I couldn't drive the car as I couldn't put the old plate back on as it was a different number now and the insurance had been changed and couldn't collect the car as it had illegal plates on it as its now as MOT failure. I had to borrow a company car get all my wife documents and go to halfords and get the correct plates made. I did complain to showplates who told me it was my fault for not putting a space between the letter and the number I try to argue that having the British Standard mark on the plate should make it legal but showplates weren't interested only saying they would give me free P&P on purchasing new plates which I couldn't do asy car was stuck as the garage and I needed it back. Not the best online experience I've ever had I won't use them again and if you want your plates to be legal and MOTable i suggest using Halfords at least they have real customer service”

Good morning Paul, Thanks for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied, we always try to rectify any issues as best as we can. Looking back at your order I can see that you did not enter any spaces as mentioned, this would have automatically removed the BS details as the plate then becomes a show plate, as it is not unusual for people designing a show plate to want the BS details to show this is an option that we also cater for. Our FAQ clearly sate the requirements for a road legal plate if this was your requirement on this occasion and our plate builder clearly shows your design including spaces when entered.
