Stickers themselves are great, delivery is fast and price is reasonable, but website not brilliant. You can't preview label before ordering so label format not exactly what I wanted.

I haven't yet used the purchased labels as awaiting start of school year. Therfore I can not comment on the labels themselves, however the labels were posted/delivered very quickly, and all communications has been fantastic ????

I haven't received my labels yet. I don't know why I have to sign for them? They are currently waiting for me at the main PO which is in the centre of town with no parking. Not sure when I will have time to collect them as it's a significant journey. Why couldn't they just be posted through my letter box when the postman was outside?

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, Amanda. We're sorry for the delay in your labels getting to you; we only use the "Signed For" service for high value orders, to give extra security to their delivery.

Ordering was simple and delivery including instructions was swift and good. However, I was deeply disappointed as the actual transfers, ordered specifically to label socks for my brother who is in a nursing home, were quite unattractive...and I burnt my hand because of the specifics of using a hard surface, not an ironing board, etc, and affixing the transfers to the socks was far from easy, especially when the iron had to be moved back and forth over the socks/silicon paper on the edge of the appropriate surface for 25 seconds. A choice of font/colours and a simplified means of attaching the transfers with a hot iron would have been preferable. I ordered 140 labels and will continue to use them for marking socks but I don't think I shall be using them for any other garments or reordering them.

We're sorry to hear you found the iron-on labels difficult to apply. Iron-on labels are a bit more problematic than the stick on ones, which is why we send out detailed instructions for their application. We would always recommend Stikins for labelling other personal items or for clothes which have a wash care label.

Thank you so much for my quick delivery of the name labels, I've used them for many years and we put them on everything, I've even used them on nursing home clothing. They are so simple to use which means everything gets labelled! My only complaint would be that on clothing they do come off a lot quicker than the old material feel wrap around labels, I would be so happy if you could bring these back!

Some of the labels seem to be coming unstuck in the wash. Some are sticking and some are not.

Annoyingly the name is printed off centre. Haven't tried washing them yet. But seem sticky and the ones on fabric have stayed in place.

I have ordered labels for many years from you. This year I was disappointed because as I pulled the labels out of the plastic pack, the static created pulled some of the labels off which then stuck to the inside of the plastic pack and not able to peel them off to re-use!

We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with the size of font on your labels. Our software automatically adjusts the size of the font according to the number of characters. If you are unsure of how the labels will look, you can call us for advice (01270 668076) - we are always happy to help.

Prompt delivery. Ordered last year and was very impressed with the quality of the labels. However this time the printing on the labels is not as good. The labels have so many vertical dark lines which spoils the overall quality and clarity of the text.

I like this company. I have ordered several times and been very happy. However, this time I am not happy at all, as the labels that came through were not as I had thought. I wanted the thickish stick on labels for clothes, not the iron on ones. But the labels that came were indeed stick on labels for clothes but they were those that resemble the silver ones for equipment, and therefore too "plastic". Maybe pictures along with their description to click on to would have helped. That aside they were despatched in the next post and arrived the next day, and I would use the company again, but maybe phone the order as opposed to doing it on line.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and we're sorry to hear you don't like the new Stikins as much as the original ones. However, having introduced the new Stikins 5 years ago we experienced a huge switch to this product as these labels can be used on everything, including clothes, shoes and dishwasher items, making them very easy to use and also more cost-effective. Unfortunately this customer switch made it impossible to supply the original product because the minimum raw material order, plus lower sales, meant that our stock would be out of date before we could sell it, so we discontinued this line last year.

They seem to be good labels but unfortunately long names on a single line do not work out very well as the type is very small.

Bought these to go in my mother's clothes now that she is in a nursing home. They do stick well with little pressure but only stay put for about 6 months. With the remaining labels, I am having to sew the edges which really defeats the object! I will use what I have left but not sure I will be buying any more.

We're sorry to hear you haven't received your labels - they were despatched by first class Royal Mail on 24th April. As this is not a guaranteed service, we have to allow 5 working days before we can say they are lost in the post. Please contact us if you still haven't received them.

I would have lpreferred the name - JOHN WROE - to be bigger and bolder otherwise the service was excellent

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We've had a look at what you put on your label, and the second line had quite a lot of information on it. Our software is programmed to make the font as big as possible; in the past we have tried using different sized fonts on the two lines but the results were not satisfactory. For future reference, if you're concerned that the print won't be big enough you can always call us to discuss your requirements.

Very quick dispatch. Quality was ok. Last time we had these they were printed on silvered paper which seemed to be of better quality.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, Phillip. The silver labels, which we discontinued last year, were a more specialist product. The new Stikins are more versatile as they can be used to label everything from pens and pencils to items which need to go in the dishwasher or washing machine.

The stickers for plastic beakers, etc, are fabulous. The iron-on ones aren't so good. I ironed them directly onto the care-label, as suggested, being careful to use the useful little bit of plasticky-paper (sorry, words fail me... silicone, is it?). Anyhoo, the ones I ironed onto the care labels have all come off in the wash, or peel off when the item is worn! I have since been ironing them onto the garment it self, much better. However, I have wasted a whole bunch of labels <weeps> I also recommended them to my boss who had similar feedback. Now I know it's better to iron onto the garment, I'm happier and will order more as my child grows. Thank you. ps: delivery to mainland Europe, where I am, was very quick.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Our original instructions did say you could iron the transfers onto the care label but we have since realised that this doesn't always work, so we have amended our instructions to say that they should be ironed directly onto the garment where, as you have found, the results are very reliable.

Stickers are good Iron on not so, they have fallen off or started peeling within a few days!

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. We're sorry to hear that you have had problems with Trons. The labels do need to melt slightly as they are applied. By doing this they fuse with the fabric and are then virtually impossible to remove. The material they are made from is very similar to the material used commercially to make designs on T shirts. If you can peel the Trons off the garments then you need to apply more heat. We would also suggest that they are better when stuck directly onto the fabric rather than onto the garment label. Trons were tested against all the main brands of iron-on labels, washed and dried 3 times a week for 2 months. All that said we do acknowledge that we need to improve our instructions and have now done so. https://www.name-labels.com/trons-instructions.php If you would like some replacement Trons to re try, some extra Stikins instead or a full refund then please let us know.

The stickers were good, but the trons were a pain to iron on. Having to cut up the tracing paper and remember how many times it had been used. Plus several of them are already peeling off.

Very fast delivery but I feel a bit disappointed with the labels themselves. After a few washes they are peeling or in some cases coming off completely. Luckily I ordered 120!

We are very sorry to hear that you are not happy with your name labels. We've been selling Stikins since 2004 and we've found that with a very small percentage of orders (1 per 1000) the name labels will simply fail entirely (i.e. they don't slowly peel off or one or two come away from the garment - they simply all fall off when the clothing is washed). The vast majority of our customers will not experience this issue and are really happy with the performance of our name labels. We've done some research into this and we believe that certain elements combine to cause the labels to fail, although it can be any number of factors that are the reason behind this (such as soft water, non-biological washing powders, certain types of stain remover, etc), which makes it difficult to pinpoint what the source of the problem is for any one particular customer. In these cases we are more than happy to send replacement Stikins, but without being able to isolate the exact cause of what made the first batch fail, you may find that these fail in the same way. Alternatively we can replace your Stikins with Trons name transfers (which iron on rather than stick on) or we can offer you a full refund. Please email us on info@labelplanet.co.uk to let us know what you would like us to do.
