“The labels are great, but because you insist that deliveries have to be signed for, it was not posted through the door like a small parcel should. Instead, I had to leave work early and drive miles back to the sorting office, 40 minutes from work and 15 minutes from home. The money I ‘saved’ on free delivery was spent on petrol! I shouldn’t need to sign for stickers!”

“Good in clothes and survive the wash shame they can’t be applied to clothing only labels as some items don’t have the label. Also no good for shoes the name wore off after one wear, other brands have survived months”

“Labels arrived very promptly and have stuck well to a variety of clothing and other items. The name rubbed off inside the shoes quickly, but at least I've got a label to write on.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for the positive comments. We're sorry to hear that the name has rubbed off the labels used in shoes. This shouldn't happen, but we do recommend that you stick the labels in the side or under the tongue, rather than in the bottom of the shoe where there will be a lot more friction. “I was happy to receive the labels, the writing was nice and bold. The procedure to stick the labels to the garnments is simple and easy. I did the first wash and some have already come off inthe washing machine. Also my child told me that the label came off his PE shorts at school. I am slight disappointed as I thought it was a good product with long lasting results.”

It sounds like you haven't applied enough heat when you have been ironing them on - step 6 of our instructions does say that you might need to repeat the ironing process if the label hasn't fully bonded with the material. “The labels themselves look good, I was very impressed with the service/speed of delivery! Also impressed with the ease of labelling! (No sewing or ironing). After reading all the good reviews, it won me over to order from yourselves, but unfortunately 3 labels have come off in the first wash, and the ones I have put in my daughters school shoes (on the side) the writing has almost worn off and she has only worn them 5 times. I followed the instructions provided. So to be honest I'm a little disappointed.”

“The labels arrived very quickly in the post, however, my son has to take a small towel to pre school, I put the label on & after just one wash, it came off! 😕”

“I wasn't particularly happy with the order process as the order wording was confusing. This resulted in me ordering the incorrect labels the first time. It wasn't very clear. So I've ended up paying double for the labels which I'm very disappointed about.”

This is very surprising, as our labels have undergone rigorous testing by an independent laboratory, using the BS EN ISO6330 wash test procedures for 40 washes at 40 degrees. “I have been using the name labels before, so I knew already that the product was good. I just have one complain this time: in the process of buying the name labels on the internet, there is a place to write what should appear in the label. But there is no indicator, how big or how small the letters will be. In my case, I wrote the complete full name and surname, as there was apparently space enough. My surprise was, when I got the name labels, that the letters are so small, they are hard to read. So I kannot be satisfied this time. I think there should be a way to tell the people what the size of the letters will be, depending on how long the text is.”

“Your service in delivering my order was extremely good. However I am not able to use the products as you have not replied to my email about which of the product is for clothes and which is for everything else. You need to look into this as I feel that I have wasted a lot of money on your product. This information would also have been useful in the package with the labels.”

We're very sorry to have caused you a problem. The white Stikins can be used to label everything, including clothing - just stick them on the wash-care label; the silver labels are recommended for any personal items, including items which go in the dishwasher. Hope this helps.

“Adhere well but please be aware they do not work inside shoes. They stick to the insole no problem but the name wore off almost immediately. Would be good to have known this before or alternatively if there is a shoe version available.”

We're sorry to hear that you had problems when using your name labels in shoes. Our advice for this application is to stick them either under the tongue or in the side to avoid them being rubbed by the heel; if you do this the ink shouldn't wear off.

“The name labels stick well to the care labels in clothes but unfortunately most of my daughters' school uniform doesn't have prominent care labels (they're hidden in a side seam) and the labels don't stick well to the clothes themselves so I'll have to go back to iron-in labels so I can put the labels in a more visible place.”

“Pretty expensive for what they are which is effectively water resistant stickers. I thought they would be fabric. So you have to put them on the care label which you could write on yourself.”

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review and for bringing this confusion to our attention. We are looking into a way of making the packaging a bit clearer. In the meantime - the white ones can be used on the wash-care label of clothes and any other items you want to label; the silver ones are not recommended for clothing.
