I booked two tickets on line. (Whitechapel to Stansted airport) The A7 bus never passed. I paid £ 16 in tickets, and £ 64 in uber to get to the airport to catch my flight. National express refused to return my money. No stars if I could.

Staff sucks af. On my return trip from London (Victoria station) to Glasgow the bus got delayed. I kindly asked the staff standing on lane 5 (one guy and one girl) when I would expect to board. They ignored my question at first. The girl was busy figuring out something on the computer with the help from the guy. The way she used the bus map software looked so inexperienced and unprofessional. Then they told me it would be a 1-hour delay (12am instead of 11pm). I went out for a drink, and came back at exactly 11.45pm. The bus had gone! I asked them why the schedule was so haphazard, and the previous girl blamed me for not being present in the station the whole time. She didn't want to talk more, no apology and told me to go to Mega bus which is also in the station to figure out what schedule Mega bus have in the next morning. I was so mad that I immediately booked a ticket from British Airways departing at 5am, wished I could have done that instead of choosing the not-so-cheap, terribly disgraceful bus service. If you study/work in the UK for a short time, never choose the bus here, flights are way more respectfully professional, and not so expensive. In my case I risked saving 20 pounds to choose the 30-pound bus to Glasgow instead of flight, and I would not dare to go by bus again...

Bus was late for half an hour to go to Luton Airport. Thanks to two drivers which didn't even care about it (had even time to chat to other drivers), we missed the plane.

If I could give minus stars I would. Inefficient and unreliable coupled with terrible customer service (Especially the driver of the A2 bus from paddington to Luton 8/10/19 at 8:15pm)!

What a complete joke this company are, to get a bus pass for your child to go to college, they charge the earth, and to apply for a 16-18 bus pass they want you to pay additional £10, this is what I call extortion prices, what more would I expect from this country, ripping people out of there hard earned money

Utterly disappointed with the costomer service. Traveled last night from Stansted Apt to London. Didn't take my bag from the hold. Bag now found, got charged £20 to collect it from the apt. Why??? I'm in London, must I pay a fare on top the £20 already paid?

I'd like to share my experience with National Express from start to finish. I bought a ticket for me and my boyfriend to travel from London to Redruth. We put both our suitcases in the hold underneath the coach like we were told to, only to discover the driver had removed one of our suitcases off of the coach at Newquay and left it stranded by the side of the road. This meant that he had no clothes for the entire weekend, so obviously we had to buy some new clothes. We spent just £117 on this. We called National Express immediately. If I had been reimbursed promptly and compensated promptly, I’d be really happy. However, it took about 3 weeks to get reimbursed for the clothes, and about 12 phone calls repeating ourselves, and being ignored, and passed from person to person. It became our responsibility to remember complaint numbers and people’s names and ticket numbers. We were questioned about times of phone calls and who we spoke to. This should have never have been our job. This is boring and stressful. Who has time for this? What a headache. It took so much time and agro to get this resolved, I would rather have spent extra money and travelled by plane. BEST OPTION. Unfortunately, National Express are disorganised, and we suffered the consequences of this. There is no ticketing system attributed to luggage retrieval. And heaven forbid something goes wrong! Lot’s of people would’ve probably given up and accepted the loss to be honest. Obviously we spoke to some very helpful and kind members of staff such as Sanjay, who was great, Sue and finally NEIL (who resolved this in about 5 minutes) (THUMBS UP!). However, the overall experience was just difficult. We are grateful to finally be reimbursed. Hopefully this feedback helps.

National Express no longer sell tickets on board. 8 August 2019, Marble Arch stop (going to Luton Airport), service at 10.55am, coach registration BX65WCV, the driver said ''you cannot buy ticket on board, only booked online accepted''. While I was still talking to him, he just closed the door almost hitting my nos. This should be announced to the public, so people will not waste their time and money missing their flights. National Express = rudeness and ignorance.

Waited 2 hours for a return bus from Vauxhall stop V to Gatwick Airport. In this time none of the 3 scheduled buses arrived. When a National Express bus finally appeared and we attempted to clearly flag down the driver we were ignored and driven past. We were forced to commute back to Victoria where we had to pay £40 for the Gatwick Express train and an additional £10 on the tube journey to Victoria. We also could not contact the customer service as we did not have English numbers.

Rarely on time. Some coach drivers are so rude and drive dangerously fast. WiFi never works. Only good thing is the cheap fares but you have to book early.

Always a terrible sercice, never on time, horrible drivers. I had to take an UBER otherwise I would miss the plain - £78, who is paying me this back. Very unprofessional, and total disregard to its customers. Always extremely stressful using their "service"

I bought a ticket on National Express website. There were 2 options - standard ticket for 10 pounds and "fully flexible" for 12. It was written that it was changeable AND refundable. I actually DID read the information about the fare - there was written again that it was totally refundable and no extra fees were mentioned. Then I found the same ticket for 5 pounds on the other website so I decided to refund this one. BUT! It turned out that there would be 5 pounds fee for that! And I can't do it online. Just by phone. I'm not a native speaker, talking to people by phone is pretty stressful and difficult for me. And anyway it won't be cheaper now. Online "help" is not helpful at all, they just quote the sentences from terms and conditions and don't respond to any further messages. I'll never use there service again.

5pm from london to halifax our driver jason was excellent went above n beyond ensuring passengers were comfortable due to broken air con even pulling up to alter roof window openings were right during rain shower please thank him on our behalf xx

I would like to say that after an error occurred with our ticket being printed with incorrect travel time on Saturday 6th July to Wembley stadium. The staff at Chorlton St coach station were very professional and prompt in issuing us with train tickets to get us to our event. Many Thanks to the lady on the desk and also the security man who were both very helpful.

Using the service almost every day for 7 months. 70% of the time buses are late. There were occasions where the bus didnt come at all and i wasted 40 mins waiting due to lies that it is being delayed. As i am writting the review another bus is being indefinitely delayed, great.

The bus didn’t even stop at the bus stop that was provided for us in the email. Waited an entire hour until I had to run next to the bus in 90 degree weather to another bus stop to get picked up. I received no updates where to bus was or if it was delayed. Absolutely terrible, would not recommend or take again.
