“My first delivery arrived safely the following day. I very much believe in Naturaw's philosophy and ethics and speaking as a vegetarian I find the product's not unpleasant to handle. My dog has only tried the botanical range and she loves them. I shall definitely continue feeding her Naturaw.”

“My dog is fairly fussy so I ordered the sample pack and she loved the food so far. I’m only feeding raw at the weekend due to the extra time/cleaning needed, so have only tried one box. My only complaint would be not being able to reseal the packaging - is it safe left in the fridge open or am I meant to repackage it? I couldn’t find any clear guidance. Other raw food I’ve tried has been in resealable plastic containers, which I’m sure is not as eco friendly but felt more hygienic.”

“Having recently changed to your raw from another complete raw food supplier, I can say that I love your company ethos and the way you care about our planet. There are a few things I thought were worth feeding back to you as follows: The look of the food:- My previous food supplier was https://www.able.dog/ and despite me bringing to their attention that their packaging was harming our planet, they simply said it was not cost effective to change to an eco friendly packaging. Each of their blocks of raw food came in separate plastic wrappers and the delivery box was lined with polystyrene. However, the food looked so much nicer than your product. I have included pictures to demonstrate this. Able offer a chunky option rather than just minced and I’m sure this must be nicer for my dog to eat and it certainly looked nicer for me to see. Your food is always brown on the outside and pink in the middle and is minced so it is hard to see the raw ingredients. Take a look at the pictures as they speak for themselves. The cost of delivery:- Your delivery costs seem quite high compared to other suppliers on the market. This adds quite a bit to each order. Maybe you could offer a discount of some kind? Maybe a dog paw (like a Costa coffee bean) for each order and get the 6th order delivery cost free? Just an idea. Also, the food was slightly defrosted which never happened with Able in the entire time I received deliveries from them. Packaging:- The packaging is great from an eco friendly point of view but I can get far less of them in my freezer. I was able to get 60kg in my freezer with the Able food but as it was in frozen blocks, now I can only fit 40kg of your product in, at a squeeze unless I decant the product, which I don’t want the hassle of doing. This also means I have to order more often and that means more delivery cost. Please take this as constructive feedback as I think your company is great and so many things are right! “Parcel arrived on time, well packaged. Like the wool filled insulation lining. Puppy seems to like the food, was a bit unsure of the forage range at first, but eats it. The actual food containers are great, stack well and are recyclable.”

“Ideal composition so i do ot have to scource minerals etc to add. BUT too often for comfort the age of the meat is clearly on the older side and there is little or no fresh smell to it. Which is off putting to my dogs and to myself as i am aware that old meat loses nutrition not just enjoyment. My little dog refuses to eat it if it is like that and i do not blame her. I have to then start foraging for something else.”

“Quality is brilliant but the variety is limited, my dog is allergic to chicken and beef as are alot of bulldogs however nearly all your food has either beef or chicken mixed in. Be great if you could offer more single meats.”

“I have only placed one order and had an initial payment problem though it was resolved quickly after I emailed the company. I was surprised by how little packaging was used and everything was still frozen when it arrived. Delivery was very quick. The food was smelling fine and easy to thaw out. A good quality food of which you need to feed less than kibble and wet. Will be regularly ordering.”

“Hello - I was very impressed with the speedy delivery of Naturaw products. The packaging also very good & the fact that the ingredients were organic. Sorry to say my very fussy ShihTzu (Roly) did not take to it - I tried all week to introduce it slowly but he just wouldn’t budge & would just sniff the food & walk away.”

“the company as whole is great, great ethos around sustainability and packaging. the food qaulity and ingredients are great. however for us our pooch it wasnt a fit as the ingredients in the forage range caused significant gas to point our dog had to go to the vets because he was in so much pain and bloating it took 2days to recover from. such a shame and please dont let it put you off as iv had the same experience with other brands and unfortunately there are crossover ingredients weve been able to identify of broccoli,kale, seeds and wheatgrass and for our pooch unfortunately these do not mix at all and cause extremely bad gas to build up. my dog loves it. he does have gastro issue and intolerances so its not a reflection on the product it just wasnt right for us. thier pure range however, particularly the venison is the best qaulity iv come across and my boy love it. overall great company, great customer service.”

“I would have given 5 stars, as the food is excellent quality and gets a definite tail-up from my Pom. I've deducted a star because although the packaging is very attractive and eco-friendly, it's way too big for the contents! Takes up a lot of space in the freezer for each 500g pack. Reduce the size of the packaging and it would be 5 stars for sure.”

Hi Janet - thanks for the feedback. The tray needs to be a bit bigger than the contents so that the food can be dropped cleanly into the tray. A tray only just as big as the food would end up with bits of food all over the edges which would be messy and unhygeinic. OR it would mean they had to be meticulously placed in by hand which would result in the cost going up. It may seem trivial, but It's something we've spent a great deal of time and r&d on perfecting :) Take care x

“My 2 chihuahuas love it. But I have to take all the bones out before they have it or they spit it out all over the place. They don’t like the bones. Are the puppy food the same with bones. If they don’t have the bones then I will try them on those next time. Please let me know”

“Hi , the recyclable packaging is a great idea , however it's messy to have to wash the containers out and the risk factor of cross-contamination is a lot greater I came across a website for feeding dachshunds raw food last week which was quite surprising in that it appears the feeds are not balanced to FEDIAF guidelines and thus i think you may be missing an opportunity here to be in the "green" colour as approved as opposed to being classed as just Core 80/10/10 Range ? “The food is very good, unfortunately delivery was not. The damaged box was left on the doorstep without a knock, message or any other confirmation of delivery. Luckily, the food was still frozen when I found it.”

“i like the packaging and the dog seems to like the food. it would be great if the packaging could move to being recyclable as it’s currently compostable and large portions of the i’ll do not have access to a compostable disposal scheme, myself included. i do not have a home compost as i live in a flat, my council do not provide a food waste or garden waste bin and there’s no place to dispose of home composting. the packaging could also be much smaller- there’s lots of “space” inside the cartons and making them smaller would result in less waste overall. however we do like the environmental considerations which is rare for dog food packaging- we will keep trying to find a way to dispose of the waste correctly.”
