I recently purchased CMS hosting from Netcetera with WordPress pre-installed to see how easy it would be to build a website. It was really easy - there was a problem at the start due to my IP address but this was very quickly addressed through the online support and I am very happy with the service.

Although I ordered hosting and then used the 30 day cancellation, which worked successfully, I have to say that the help desk support was quick and efficient. less than 1 hour for chat help and less than 12 hours for billing help. However, although I wasn't fully ready to go ahead with hosting, there were a few things out of date on the website that gave a little cause for concern. Knowledgebase also needs to be updated. In terms of support on a Friday evening, they were very good.

Netcetera could have made me happier if I hadn't needed about 6 attempts at making payment for my domain renewal. There seem to be continual issues with your payment system that need addressing.

i have checked the free hosting but i didn't found good and also there are so many confusing section on the website. while i was planning to buy re-seller plan but didn't get such things to check in the demo one. also it's was too slow when i was trying to check every things are taking time to load.

We always try and establish at the very start exactly what our clients want to do but unfortunately it's not always easy to provide a FREE trial that matches your exact needs. I'm sure you'll appreciate that the FREE trial offer is intended to give individuals the chance to familiarise themselves with the hosting, make use of our support and get used to the control panel and even have a go at building a website or hosting an existing site to see how it functions on an entry level hosting package. We have looked at what you had originally enquired about, Reseller Package, but unfortunately this is not available as a FREE trial, however if you had of decided to take it out as a package and you found it was not suitable we would have offered you a full 30 day money back guarantee. We always take on board any feedback we receive and we would love you to give us another try and see some of the improvements we have made even to our entry level hosting packages.

Great until last week, when my two shared hosting sites have been down for over 5 days in a row. No status updates from support. They refer to this as a "minor outage".

After raising concerns with imminent reboot of server to apply changed SSL3 settings the issue with booting server was found to be due to "degraded raid" - I had payed support to resolve and now the server will not boot at all and I'll need to migrate to a new server but also URGENTLY need to recover live data from the disk of the dead one.

We can understand your frustration with what has happened and I'm sure you'll appreciate that things can go wrong from time to time although we do all we can to avoid this type of scenario from happening. Let me assure you we will do our very best to deal with this issue on your behalf and resolve any problems that have arisen as a result of the problems you have experienced with degraded RAID. I will personally investigate what has occurred and ensure a quick resolution is found that you will be satisfied with. We will also implement any other suggestions you may wish to share with us to avoid a reoccurrence of the same happening at some point in the future, to you, or any of our other valued clients. I will raise a ticket with our customer service team to deal with this as a matter of urgency.

We have been able to set up the hosting simply enough but had requested a migration service. This was quite some time ago and we still seem to be having to do a lot of the work ourselves to get the migration to happen. I am not really sure what we have paid for considering the amount of work we have done ourselves. I have also escalated the situation to a manager but nothing happened.

When one logs a support call the staff do not always look deeply into the issue thus generating replies and then another message and then another reply. A little more in depth at the start would help a lot. thanks

Hi Chris, thanks for your review. We do appreciate feedback positive and negative as it helps us improve the service we offer. I have looked into the problems you experienced and from time to time issues do arise that are out of our control, especially when other hosting providers have been involved. As always if the issue has been caused by a problem at our end you will be entitled to compensation under the SLA we have in place. I have checked through the conversation you had with our technician and I can see that we were waiting for a reply to confirm that the issue has been resolved? In order to ensure all technical problems are resolved efficiently we do monitor our ticket response time but sometimes we can't do much more until we get a reply from the client which I believe was the case here. I have emailed you directly to ensure everything has now been resolved to your satisfaction. I look forward to your reply.

Unfortunately when you are transferring a domain to us you need to arrange this with the host you are moving from - which in this instance caused the delay. Glad to see your domain has now be transferred successfully.

I've had a non-business site hosted with Netcetera for over 10 years. Chosen because they were inexpensive and had solid reviews at the time. I run our works website and would never use Netcetera, though. I've only stuck with them because my package is so cheap. However there have been lots of problems. Webmail was always shonky and is now utterly broken. DB management is terrible. They've literally lost my site about 3 or 4 times. This year was the last straw - my entire site lost along with any recovery data held on their side. No apologies from them and now even when they got a database working again it's grindingly slow. Helpdesk sort of fix things but new problems always appear. They've gotten far less helpful, too. Not rude, but there's no sense of customer care. Dreading trying to transfer my domain away...

Finally escaped from Netcetera and horrible service throughout. Even leaving them was made difficult and has taken years. Everything is too much trouble, their systems don't work and support is the most unhelpful I have come across. Don't touch with a very long pole. Have finally escaped to Krystal Hosting who have been superb

I fully agree with other reviews, this hoster is awful and their 'customer service' seems to be run by a competitor that want to put them out of business. I've been a customer for over 5 years and they simply demanded that I remove important digitally signed files that have been there all these years. I had to move my business on the spot. I would NOT recommend these 5 persons (according to LinkedIN) running the show for anything else then a hello-world site. They do provide some humor in their payoff "Passionate about hosting, committed to service". Yea right!
