“Overall I like Norwood, I’ve experienced great customer service. My biggest complaint would be the prices of attachments and upgrades seem kinda high to me. Also would be nice if more precision was used in the manufacturing of mill parts. Most bolt holes are oversized or slotted or both. Making assembly more difficult than necessary.”
“So far my experience has been ok, it’s frustrating when ever you add anything you’ll have to buy ever part separately get one part but not another , just out a 4 foot extension on it , gotta buy the leg kit separately and then a log stop also , everything is bit over priced and they make you get everything separate. I wanna do the ceramic guide update next that’s like 300 dollars, that’s crazy for something that should be $100 or less but it was it is , and don’t get me started on the pricing of the trailer kit really ? They should all come with em standard especially for the money spent but that’s just my opinion, over all I’m excited in starting this next chapter but at the same time this company should really start taking care of there sawyers a bit better on the pricing and selling components separately that should be sold together.”
“I've owned the sawmill since 2000 and the only problem I've had with it was a broken throttle cable. I'm a recreational sawyer. Maybe 20 logs a year. The lumber that I cut, I build projects like tables, chairs, birdhouses, lawn ornaments, etc. for the local fireman's auctions.”
“within the first few cuts of my new sawmill the tension cable broke. I called and they said a replacment cable would be sent out and I never recieved it - I had to rid something up and has been a burden ever since I use it”
“Overall I am happy with the mill (hd36v2). It does everything I hoped for, easy to operate and maintain.
Assembly of the mill was relatively easy but time consuming (4 full days), and some of the added options didn’t come with clear instructions or I needed to partially disassemble components to get the options i stalled.
I have had a few problems with the log stops, welds cracking and bending log stop risers. I feel this part of the mill could definitely be upgraded. Also the ceramic guides should be thrown out and upgraded to the roller bearings asap.”
“I have owned my Norwood MN26 since 2014 but set it up in 2020. Besides the joy of milling my own lumber to build a greenhouse, add 2 additions to a small barn, build a 12x24 tractor garage/workshop, I made an incredible discovery while using the mill. Having worked just shy of 30 yrs as a paramedic, and having been diagnosed with complex PTSD, I discovered that milling was excellent therapy. I was able to custom mill lumber to build all kinds of crafts and the road to recovery has been remarkable while making man glitter. The mill is very easy to use. The engine starts first pull even in winter. I ordered an extra bunk and dog to mill shorter logs that I find that others are discarding, and am making nice cutting boards from spalted hardwoods.”
“It's hard to do business with people that you can not get a hold of. Also, I purchased 50 blades which were in stock and ready to ship in 3 days or less. It took them 2+ weeks to ship them.. no response or apology email.. even worse their warehouse is only a 100 miles away!!! Norwood please fire your current managers and hire competent management staff. Self-sabotage is not a good business practice.!”

“My mill is a Lumbermate 2000. It performs very well. I didn't give it 5 stars because I am not fond of the log dogs. I would prefer dogs that telescoped straight up or came in different lengths rather than swivel up. I would like to upgrade to a newer model but this mill is so good it doesn't seem worth it.”
“I was communicated through emails that 5 new correct size blades we getting shipped to me a month ago and after many emails still nothing.
Everything has been so hard to get and it's been over a month of calling, emailing. I've heard apologies and promised they will correct it yet here I am.
As of now, I'm still NOT recommending Norwood and regret my purchase.”

“Tried to purchase replacement saw blades. First they sent the wrong size so in order to return them I had to wait for a shipping label. Once I dropped them off at ups to be sent back they said they would ship the blades I ordered. 2 weeks go by and nothing so I callled and they said the order was never picked in the warehouse but they will ship immediately. I was supposed to get a email to track the shipment never did. I called again and was told that today(Monday) was a Canadian holiday, apparently they celebrate the first Monday in August go figure. But I should have the blades the next day which made no sense because if they were shipped the Canadian holiday wouldn’t matter. I called again the next day(Tuesday ) and was told the order went out there is a tracking number and ups has the shipment. I went to the ups site put in the tracking number and it tells me the label was created but ups does not have the package yet. Once they receive the package it will take 3-5 days to reach me. At that point I will be over a month and a half into this. My mill is down as of yesterday because I have no blades. I won’t go through them for blades or anything else ever again and just want to warn others what can happen. Very unorganized and care free about taking responsibility to ship things. 3 different people talked to at Norwood all told me different promises that I would get my blades asap. I asked for overnight or next day delivery so I could be up and running instead of losing money but they lied again saying they were shipped already when ups said they weren’t. Very disgusted hope this doesn’t happen to everyone.”
“Stay away because they have terrible customer service. All they're worried about is the date you purchased it and quick to point out how close you are to the 2 year mark. We bought the HD36V2 with lots more added parts for personal use. 1st it was missing box no 9, then the set of 5 blades they sent were wrong which doesn't fit our machine. Eventough their own records indicate this discrepancy, because we didn't use the machine and noticed it till after their 30 days policy, they won't replace the incorrect blades. Lots of "customer satisfaction guaranteed" promises but won't actually back it up.”
