This is a bait and switch operation. I paid the requested $22 to unlock my Samsung Galaxy S9+. Next day I received email with link to "release my unlock code" where I was presented with another charge for $64. Here is the BS they justified the $64:
"Your phone is a very expensive device and is subsidised by the carrier over the length of your contract, the carrier requires this additional unlocking fee to cover their potential loss of revenue. Research on the internet will show you that our price is one of the lowest in the industry and our time scales are most certainly the fastest. We are so confident of this that if you can provide proof of a cheaper service we will match that price.
We do state on the (Price List, Terms and Conditions when you enter your IMEI and prior to payment) that there may be an additional price to pay.
However, if no further payment is made by yourself within 14 days we will remove the live unlock and no further payment will be due or we can transfer the Pre-Order payment to another device if you wish.

So they hook you up by the average price for unlock and then they spring their switch with BS about "expensive device" and attempt to charge you twice the amount you already paid.
Now here's the kicker. They will not refund you your original payment. I had to report them to PayPal to get a refund.

“Worst company in the world. Entire website is intentionally misleading and costs are adding on throughout the process and it is extremely long. The customer service is non existent with contradicting and repeated responses. Thet spend a lot of time reporting bad reviews instead of running and ethical business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS”

“Avoid this company like the plague. It cost £9 to unlock a phone via EE and the charged £14.99 upfront and then they do not tell you about the £141 Additional that you have to pay. Nice business model to con people as I’ve tried to complain and there isn’t a valid phone number, email address is an automated canned response, written in 3 styles. It keeps providing the link for you to “complete the payment”, The address is a virtual address that was brought, the company owner Scott Charles Morgan is listed as the only employee. So this guy is conning people. Do not use this service. I’m Reporting this company and parent company intercomms ltd to trading standards ! You have been warned. Also all the 5 star reviews are by anonymous.”

Upon completing the online process, I wrote in to cancel the service. This was due to the fact that the person I was gifted the phone by, did not realise it was actually not locked to any provider. I apologised for the mistake but as I wrote in, less than hour after completing the online process, I’m sure a refund or cancellation would not have been hard to obtain.
Emma from customer service proceeded to ignore my request and kept me on correspondence until the pre check was completed in order to obtain my funds. She was extremely unprofessional and condescending. Not only do you pay up to £18 to get the process started but an additional charge of twice that amount is required to unlock the phone. It is a classic case of something being too good to be true.
Not only did she inform me at the beginning that the pre check was unsuccessful due to erroneous details being provided (which were not), but when I informed her I’d be taking legal action, an email miraculously appeared stating that it was actually successful.
My bank has raised a dispute on my behalf as they agree that Emma’s behaviour on behalf of the company seems like a Scam.
I have never come across a company who has such disregard for their customers. Do yourself a favour and unlock your phone via the network provider it is locked to.”
