AVOID! Appaling 3rd party service via eBay then delivered with Hermes. Damaged box in transit, resulting in missing item for my buyer who I then had to refund. Sent them images of damaged box and they conceded it was done in transit and would be followed up. Next message I get, a week later, saying send more photos of box which buyer has now binned or they can't do anything. AVOID

Absolutely dreadful company. Bought insured Hermes shipping through them, the package got lost (that part is on Hermes), but it took days to get through to anyone at Packlink. Then they set up a support ticket for the issue and I hardly heard anything from them. I constantly had to ask for status updates. Meanwhile, Hermes would not deal with me directly as I bought the postage through Packlink. Eventually Hermes did admit they lost the parcel. Trying to put in a claim with Packlink is equally as frustrating and long-winded. In the end it took almost 3 months to receive a refund and even that came with a threat in the email stating "If we find the package is delivered after this refund then we reserve the right to take legal action to recover the funds" - a bit cheeky considering according to Ebay you have to refund the customer after about 30 days, so whether it gets delivered after that or not, you should still get the refund as they have failed to provide the paid-for service. Avoid (also avoid Hermes)! Buy directly from the couriers, it's no difference cost wise.

Their business model is that they charge you twice: Once for the service you buy and once for reverting it if there is a problem. They don't give you any options and they don't listen to your protests. they save your card info and charge you against your will. If you have to use them, do it only with a dispensable card. Concretely my case was as follows: I send a parcel which could not be delivered. The customer was informed, that it will be send back to me, but nobody contacted me about it. It was the customer that informed me about this with a month of delay. When I started looking for the parcel, I was informed that indeed, it was not lost and that they would send it back to me but they would charge me for it. From the first mail, I told them, that I did not want to pay for sending it back, but rahter pick it up in person (it was a regional shipping). They kept ignoring my protests and charged me anyway without giving any options. Since I had already resend the product to the costumer via a different service, I ended up paying 3 times for the shipping...

Packlink used Hermes to deliver my parcel. Hermes badly damaged the goods, a bicycle hub. The item was very securely packaged and well protected in a box with much bubble wrap. After over a month paclink refused my claim for damages saying that the item was insecurely packaged. I sent pictures of the packaging and the damage done to it but they refused to reply. I will never, ever, use packlink again. They are cheap because they are poor quality.

excellent service for ebay users UNTIL they ( or hermes ) lose your parcel - then its a nightmare - complex claims process which takes forever - will not be using again

Awful service with hidden fees! Very bad in communications, after more than one month I've got charged because of the "Overall size", a calculation of sizes that has a limit of 180 cm: the problem is that I submitted all the measurements, so the Overall size fee should have been calculated upfront and not after the billing.

Scammers, they charge me for something never asked out of the blue without sending any email, invoice, nothing. It's basically impossible contact them. There isn't a phone number, no email address, no way for ask back my money but their form that doesn't give you any trace of contact with them. Don't put your details in their website if you don't want my same terrible experience

I'm extremely unhappy with the service I have received from packlink. My ebay parcel was badly damaged by the courier and my buyer opened a refund case, I opened a claim with Packlink and provided the photographs sent by the buyer. I heard back from Packlink 3 days later saying the claim could take 30 WORKING days so I had no choice but to refund the buyer and wait for the claim. It is now 6 weeks later and they have replied to say that the photographs showing the damaged item are insufficient, I explained that it is now 6 weeks later and the ebay claim is now closed and the buyer threw the broken item away so there is nothing I can do now for more photographs. They advised they will not pay the claim without more photographs so I have lost £55 on this. Extremely disappointed by the lack of customer care and won't be using them again.

Scumbags!! They're great until there is an issue. Tried to claim for two parcels. One that arrived at my customers literally looking like they'd been smashed to pieces with a sledgehammer and their response was that there's no proof it was their fault. The other was an exploded tin of paint that Hermes admitted fault for but then Packlink wanted extra photo's (already sent five and customer obviously has disposed of the paint sodden packaging) six weeks after the claim was made and say they won't pay out without them.Unbelievable, absolute con artists do not trust!!!!

As with everyone else - awful. They damaged my parcel, had a really long claims form - eventually refused to pay out - and then charged my card £7 extra 5 days later saying my parcel was 'overweight'!!! SCAMMMMMMM

Absolutely shocking customer service. You have to wait an age for a response, you cannot talk to anyone in real time. If you submit a damaged item claim, they simply ignore you for 20 days and then tell you that you're past your 20 day claim period. An absolute joke. They don't care about you or your goods, only your money and keeping it, regardless of whether they have earned it or not.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. My Ebay parcel went damaged. How, it is beyond me. It was overly well wrapped. I looked up for the email from Packlink to find any evidence of correspondence and couldn't find any. Only PayPal receipt for the payment transaction. Yet to open refund procedure a Packlink ref number was needed. So they don't send you any email with the required ref number or confirmation of the transaction. The only place the number figures on is on the label stuck to the package. Eventually, I managed to find the label page on my browser's History tab, and was able to start the claim. Only to hear that the two photos of the damages to the content of the parcel which were sent to me by the purchaser are not enough and that they require images from the outside the parcel. Look, those two images were enough for the purchaser and me, for Ebay to require a refund from me to the purchaser, but not enough for the Packlink the official partner of Ebay to issue me the refund, and next to the extra insurance paid on the full amount £152.00. Who is taking pictures of parcels when sending them, and now it was too late to ask the purchaser for more photos, he wouldn't keep the packaging, who does. I was also told that my claim falls outside 7 days window given by the Packlink for the damaged good opening procedure. Hey, 7 days!!! Can you believe it? How easy is to cross that timeframe bearing in mind the procedure of refund to the Ebay purchaser has to be finished before the claim to the shipper, as it is stated on Ebay. Packlink is a complete con company. Their business logistic is completely optimized to non-transparency, to conceal, misguide, leave you short of information, to set up so many traps, ... all in so dishonest way of creating more revenue. They are unapproachable, their customer service doesn't exist. They are real shame and I really wonder once out of the office how can their employee face people on the street at all. Scums like their business is. AVOID.

AVOID at all costs. Packlink will do anything to avoid paying compensation for the damage to the contents of your parcel. After 7 weeks, they have finally asked for photographs of the outside and internal packaging of the parcel, of course the recipient has destroyed it. They are refusing to refund. Again, AVOID at all costs.

Avoid this company! Ebay should definitely change it!! They are a nightmare to contact and you can’t really speak with a person to solve your problem. I used Packlink a few times and 2 of my packages has been damaged. Their home collecting service basically doesn’t exist either…since it never worked and you end up going to drop off your parcel… They don’t take care of the parcel and they are using Hermes .. so you are going around trying to contact someone from Hermes to Packlink. And after 3 weeks of emails and non sense I ended up with nothing! My product is still damaged and no money back!!!! This was just a waste of time and energy! Worst service ever!!!!

They have offered a home collecting service however more than 40% of my packages I have been forced deliver on my own to drop off point because the courier never arrived! I was surprised when after 7 weeks Packlink has charged me due to the parcel's overweight and oversize! As I see this is a very common practice! They are scammers because I always check my weight and dimensions.I have used in the past Hermes, UPS and DPD directly and never ever had the same problems! They have no evidence and proof that my parcels were oversized and overweighted! If you use their service unfortunately the direct debit is set up automatically so I could only closed it straightaway to avoid the situation that they again steal money from my account!. AVOID AVOID THIS SCAMMERS!

Do not use them! All they do is use Hermes and when the item arrives damaged, they drag you through a ton of forms and emails delaying the payout of compensation (for which you did pay extra). Hermes does not want to deal with it as it was purchased via Packlink on eBay. 1 month later I still didn’t have the compensation paid for what looks like a pierced parcel (with a hole on one side and straight through on another making a kebab of a pc tower!) and they informed me it might take another 30 days! On different occasions of our correspondence they claimed not receiving my emails (which I do have in ‘sent’ folder); it is impossible to call them so you have to go via chat to get an update, chat agent says the other designated agent deals with my case and any other agents can’t help me...but you can’t get the agent you need to speak to..... it is a proper circus of a customer service, they have several departments dealing with claims and verifying things, which of course takes a lot of time, firms and I suspect costs a lot; oh and at the end (hopefully, not sure if there is any other department hiding there) they inform you that you finally reached the insurance payout department and it takes up to 30 days to get ‘file solved’ - hopefully it means compensation......... on top of the other several weeks they have already used up ‘processing’ your claim, talking to Hermes, talking to themselves, etc.... never again! Better go directly with the courier.

Waited 3 days beyond the agreed date for my parcel to be collected then gave up and took it to a local parcel shop for it to be picked up by the courier. Tried on numerous occassions to speak to someone but only ever got an inaccurate and unhelpful automated service. To top it all off they’ve now taken an extra £7.50 off me because the parcel is 18cm over size and are completely uninterested in the shocking customer service. Will not use again!

this company is fake the cheat on your when their courier companies loss the parcels they take you for a ride their claim form link does not work or give the actual form but when issues raised they do not give you a solution they take you for ride ask you do various things to your computer and finally when you confront it does not work which screenshot they then decide not to respond to you and your time to submit the claim is finished their is their trick ebay should be ashamed to recommend them.
