“It was not made clear that the items I chose to gift were part payments, since I discovered it was possible to select 2 of 'bed', for example. Not very satisfying, when one wants to feel one has given a personalised wedding gift. I did not find the payment part of the site easy to navigate either. It would have helped if it automatically recognised which country I was in. Other items requested, e.g. landline and mobile numbers, seemed superfluous but were required. It took me several times to pay. After 4 attempts to pay by credit card, I gave in and used Paypal.”

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We're sorry that the concept was a bit unclear. Patchwork is a way of asking friends and family to come together to fund large or expensive items that may be out of reach for individuals to purchase by themselves. So it's a way that the couple can still have what they'd love, without their guests feeling out of pocket! We don't design each page though, so all creators are free to do things their own way and edit their own gift lists in the way that best fits their wedding day and their guests. As regards the payment - your friends have chosen to link their patchwork to PayPal, therefore all payments will be made on the PayPal site and with PayPal checkout and security processes.
