“The worst thing about PayPal is the customer service. They don't read your questions and keep replying with irrelevant answers which is a total waste of time. It has happened to us for the 2nd time and I wish we can get rid of it! but a platform we use only accepts PayPal so ... If you don't have to use PayPal, DONT!”

“Several representatives failed to read Seller, Buyer comments and as a result, agreed woth the Buyer. I do not recommend this Service as PayPal agents cannot read and cannot navigate simple disputes. Disgraceful.”

“I am Russian. I am a citizen of the Russian Federation and I am not in any way involved with politics or war-mongering. Paypal inc. suspended their business activity in the Russian Federation as a means of political protest. I have no access to my Paypal account anymore and I can not dispose of my money in my Paypal account. Paypal are THIEVES! They deprive innocent people of access to their Paypal accounts and to their funds. Thousands of innocent victims are unable to withdraw their money from their Paypal accounts. I call for a WORLDWIDE BOYCOTT of Paypal not just to harm their reputation but to put Paypal inc. out of business.”

“PayPal allowing the scammers exist. I got a scam link pretending is from my work I clicked on it and immediately $20 was withdrawal from my PayPal. I immediately reported to PayPal and dispute the charge but the result came back and they denied my dispute, despite I reported this as a scam. The problem is not the $20, the problem is that PayPal allowing the scammer keeps the money and encourage this.”

“I have been a loyal customer of PayPal for about three years so,I was surprised when I got an email saying I will no longer have access to my account due to too many disputes. I then called and got transferred to PayPal's account review and asked what was going on and that I wanted to dispute the case,the guy I talked to said my account had too many disputes and charge backs. I told him that I only had 5 within 3 years,he didn't seem to care. I then asked him about my $162 I still had in my account,he said that I wouldn't be able to take out my own money for 6 months or withdraw it. I told him that I still had bills to pay and that was all the money I had for the rest of the month,he said he didn't know what to tell me. I asked him to be transferred to someone else but,he said no matter who I talked to the outcome would be the same.I started to cry over the fact that I wouldn't be able to pay the rest of my bills,his lack of caring,and being completely rude. I decided to email them instead of calling them to try to figure the problem out 5 days ago,I still haven't gotten an answer. I'm done with PayPal and will be using another company from now on”

“Just an awful awful awful company. Worst business experience I’ve ever had. I’m also 49 years old and have done mounds of business with other companies. I sold a product for $1800 dollars and the huge mistake I made was ever saying I can take PayPal. They said pay $15 for an instant deposit and put a 24 hold on it twice. I ended up canceling the transaction and forwarding it to my niece who pulled the money out. Won’t ever accept PayPal. I urge everyone to never use them.”

“I use PayPal a lot it’s also a way of… I use PayPal a lot it’s also a way of receiving money for online work. But never again am I using it PURCHASE ANYTHING !! a company I have never used had started charging my account, defiantly not something I have authorised, I open a dispute and PayPal say I have authorised it !!!! Worst company I have ever dealt wit. Also locked me out of my account many time been on the oohing many time and the staff every time have been of zero help!!! I have had to spent a lot of time and figured it out myself in the end when they should provide the info !!!”

“Custome service is repulsive. My account on my app and use of my money on my card has been locked due to me owing $1 for something I have no idea what for. Now I have no access and completely blocked from all my money from my tax return and only money i have available to me at all for that matter. Im a singe mother of 4 small children i have waited months for this money cuz i had no idea it went on thid card because they locked me out from logging into it. So another week of struggles for me and my family thanks paypal hope your dollar is well worthl all this unnecessary craziness.”

“Dont use paypal to pay for things they're complete and utterly useless their site is non stop spinning rings when trying to pay for something for an hour later still no different for when it finally did work the item was sold out. Their customer service is diabolical and their developers and so on are incompetent invalids”

“My crypto transfer is still not posted after 7 days. Coinbase processed it within minutes yet PayPal hadn’t retrieved it yet. All the hype that PayPal is great for crypto is not accurate. Funny how I can buy crypto immediately with PayPal but getting back is over a week so far.”

“1) bought online from target.com with total $144 2) during checking out, applied $20 Paypal credit from my account; from screen I was told this was successful 3) final result: $144 applied from my credit card, but the $20 credit disappeared from my account. 4) contacted Paypal customer service, with proof of the $20 credit, their review result is: target.com did not overcharge me. So case closed. 5) went back to paypal customer service, saying I never said Target.com overcharged me. The issue was that paypal took my $20 credit but did not apply to that transaction, and the $20 has gone forever. 6) no responses from Paypal thereafter.”

“PayPal User read this; I have had PayPal for a couple years without issues but recently that has changed. I have noticed missing money from my debit card that was linked but I never could say forsure. Anyway I had $30 sent to me and then requested back (yes as crazy as that sounds PayPal does that, they also will draw money off of a linked card if a charge is made to your account that doesn't have the funds to cover it), and my account did not show for the $30 back they took when a deposit was made to my account. So I called and PayPal acted as if they didn't know what I was talking about, until I got heated. Then they admitted it. So i tried to unlink my cards and I couldn't so I called and had them unlinked. So for doing this my account was limited. All 4 accounts I have businesses pay me money from work through. But I had closed 2 of these accounts and was trying to limit my use of PayPal and go to direct deposit with as many companies as I could. I literally get paid from dozens of companies ranging from a few dollars to maybe a few thousand at a time. I received an email the 12th of December from PayPal stating $321 had been sent from a company in Ohio (Alta 360) , which I worked for, for over a year. And to claim my money I needed to click the link in the email, which was an account I had closed some days prior. So I did so and nothing, I have called several times and messaged. Then yesterday, I was told I needed to link a card first to get my money, and after several attempts and calls over a several day period to do so, without it linking, or saying the card was linked to another account (which it was not) . I finally got it linked and now PayPal says they don't know about $321 dollars and asked for a screenshot of email, so I sent them a screenshot of email . Now they say they need transaction ID after days of me calling and messaging saying they need something else and after I produce what was previously asked. Now they also say they didn't send an email ? Well I'll call Alta 360 tomorrow and get that. I also told them they need to be sued which probably didn't help but is true. PayPal isn't what it used to be a year ago, it really has went downhill and customer service has no answers to your questions or gives you the runaround. I am definitely switching everything over to direct deposit or I may not work for that company anymore. Let this be a warning for you PayPal users.”

“had a significant refund from a retailer to PayPal which shows as received, so far so good, but PayPal hasn’t passed it back onto my bank, despite my PayPal account balance showing straight 0. Is the money in the abyss of some murky operations? The PayPal help centre gives non-sensical answers. UNSAVE AND UNREASSURING in my personal opinion”

“Very disappointed with Paypal. I opened a dispute and, they filed to refund me the full amount despite a claim being opened for the full amount. Management refused to send me a confirmation email to prove an investigation would take place. It wasn't until i challenged them that they agreed. Very unprofessional and dodgy! I am willing to take legal action if they fail to refund me the full amount.”

“Avoid using Paypal at all costs. Even when a merchant has issued you a full refund, they will keep your money like they did to me. Prior to that all i got was " refund denied " repeatedly even though the merchant had issued a refund for faulty merchandise with no issues at all. Paypal make constant excuses and will keep your money. Since Elon Musk sold it, Paypal is a pay scam. Use your credit card instead, then you at least have some support. Better yet, where possible buy local and completely avoid giant multi national scammers like Paypal are as you will find out if you ever need a refund from these legalized con merchants. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!”

“PayPal are worst company going, back in 2012 they froze my account then if that was not bad enough they froze my husbands my daughter. When I tried to sort things out all what they did was say they could not let me have any second chance, their answer was to get your friends to use their PayPal account, so what I did then about year or so later they froze their account. So my friend fell out with me because of this. I am so happy that EBay have the sense to change to manage payment, but it is PayPay. For buying postage labels. I try to do this because it work out so much cheaper but unfortunately I can not buy them because I have no PayPal, I use pack link that a good alternative, but does not always work, so then I have pay higher prices. I would be glad if PayPal went out of business. They have caused me so much grief over the years.”
