“You need to be careful when dealing with Paytrust because they have been connected to fraudulent activities. Even though they might let you take out money initially to gain your trust, they could end up pressuring you to deposit more money. I personally fell for this trick, but thankfully, I managed to retrieve my funds with the help of A M D A R KL i M i T E D * C0M.”
“This scammer managed to deceive me out of $83,190, they are blocking me from withdrawing my investment from the account. It was a harsh reality to face when I found out I had been misled by this company. Luckily, I reached out to A M D A R K L I M I T E D * C0M, and they truly delivered. I was thrilled to have my money recovered in just four days.”
“I was a loyal customer of PayTrust since it was PayMyBills.com (21 years).
I am uncertain why SilverBills even acquired them if not only to steal personal data because it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination to maintain a loyal customer base.
Twice they generated late fees for me by taking 13 business days to pay a bill. There was a limbo period of 10 days where they drew the money and held it before a check or EFT was even generated. I engaged customer service who treated me like a person who didn't understand cashflow or how to maintain my bills and spoke to me as if I didn't understand how their posted policy of 3 business days, actually means 15. They indicated "Later" they would offer a premium pay service but there was no date for that. All that aside, their website was difficult to manage and offered no way to see the status of a payment with the limbo period in the process.
After that second round of late payments, I started removing all my vendor info and changing all my login account info for all my accounts. Again, I have no idea why they acquired PT if their only plan was to shut it down.
I was using this transition period to see if we would move my Father in Law over to help him. That's not happening now and Im telling everyone how they float your money presumably for the earnings on interest.”
“If I could give Silverbills - who purchased Paytrust - 0 Stars, I would.
They missed an auto-payment on my mortgage, even though I had a rule to pay it!
Likewise for one of my credit cards.
For example, They paid December 2023, January 2023, and then March 2023. What happened to February?
Reports which are why I had the service in the first place no longer allow you to sub-total by payee or search by timeframe.
This is an absolute diaster.
I canceled today.
Adieu Paytrust. It was great for 20+ years. I'm sorry to see what was a good service degrade into absolute @#$.”
“They play the float on your funds, delivering your checks long after they used to under the original Paytrust. The site is less efficient. I am looking for a change.”
“Since being taken over service has deteriorated. Addresses, those which they manage, are wrong and the only way to correct is to set up a new payee. Two requests sent to "support" unanswered. Been a customer for more than 25 years and quit today effective end of the month.”
“I have used Paytrust for 20 years. It was a great service. The new Paytrust by Silverbells is awful! The major issue is that for most bills, a payment made today would be received by the payee in 24-48 hours. Not anymore. With Silverbells, a payment made today will be received in 7 days. 7 days! It's ridiculous. I'm leaving the service.”
“I am leaving a review about Paytrust's transition to Silverbills -- and I would leave negative stars if that were possible. Since the blackout period for the transition lifted after Jan. 3, 2024, I made two EFT payments: my automatically scheduled mortgage payment and a manually schedule (one-time) credit card payment.
In both cases, Silverbills withdrew the money from my bank account -- but then paid the lender 3-5 days later. This is not how EFT is supposed to work. Silverbills does NOT get to hold onto my money for several days before disbursing it to the merchant. Even paper checks don't work that way: the money does not come out of my bank account until the MERCHANT gets the payment.
Moreover, the CC payment has yet to post to my CC account and is now considered overdue, thank you very much.
So far I have received little in the way of helpful responses via the support email address.
Once I am certain my CC payment has been made, I will be cancelling my Paytrust service in favor of a better alternative -- this, after 20 years of being a customer.
Steer clear of this one, folks. It's shamefully ugly now.”
“Not a great solution anymore. they loose bills and payments I made did not go through. Now they were purchased and want to more than double the cost of the service. Time to move on.”
“FYI - Paytrust is staying open. Receiving a broadcast email from PayTrust just 20 hours ago. They will not be shutting down. Thing is however, considering they've had 3 months to post this decision, now 1 month prior to closure -- I've made other arrangements.
Considering how the news was broken to us, being a customer for 25 years.
I think its too little too late. I do not believe that I will continue using the service. I've already moved all the bills off to another provider, doesn't make sense to reverse all these actions.

“Just received an email that Paytrust services will shut down during August 2023. I have been with Paytrust.com since it was called PayMyBills.com. I saw the declination coming once I had to deal with the updated web design. You fixed something that wasn't broken to most users.”
“I don't know how a business can take a great product and totally screw it up! I have used paytrust for 25 years without a hitch until they completely revamped their entire format. it is an utter disaster. Not sure what twisted mind could create such a draconian, completely illogical amd unintuitive spider web of bill paying. I hope the moron who designed it is out sweeping floors.....”
“I am discontinuing the service after 15 years, and echoing many of the comments below.
Paytrust would not change my funding account after the previous one had been frozen due to fraud, and would not give a reason why. It then sent my account to collections without ever giving me an opportunity to pay. Their customer service is incompetent.
I will never use them again, and neither should you”
“I have been paying bills online since 1989! First through CheckFree, then when that fizzled, went to another & as acquisitions occurred, ending up with PAYTRUST by RealNet Payments LLC.
I was beginning to think I was losing my mind when a bill didn't arrive or get paid. I absolutely HATE the interface changes that occurred about a year ago. Not intuitive or easy to navigate. VERY CLUNKY - are we back to a 1980's Commodore 64 computer app?
I tried to set up an e-bill for a credit card. The dialog box (see pics below) did not have any blanks to fill out to continue the process. A call to CS was fruitless. Explained the problem, she responded with the amount last paid!! NOT THE QUESTION I ASKED!!! I told her I had tried in other browsers & she clued in to the word "BROWSER" and started giving me canned responses to browser problems....!!!!! {silent scream}. I tried to explain the 2nd problem and again canned answers - Asked for technical support - nope - she was the last word.
SO, I'm searching for a replacement to this inept, horrific payment service.
+++ It is obvious that the programmers are over-paid & underworked.+++”
“I have used this company for well over a decade. I was very happy with the service for a long time. I am no longer happy. I had two active bank accounts on my Paytrust Service. One of the accounts was closed I had forgotten to notify Paytrust to switch the funding account of course that part is on me. I went in to modify a payment on their new website which I HATE. They told me they sent me an email on May 6th which so verified on an old email account that I don’t use as a primary anymore. What infuriated me is that since I have two bank accounts they could have easily switch funding accounts. They could have sent me more than one email which they said they don’t do. In order to get the account active again they wanted me to mail in a check. In 2022 I was going to have to wait for a check to arrive somewhere. At this point I have to decide if I even need this service any longer.”
“I tried to address this between us but I cannot seem to get a call back from a supervisor so this is all I have left.
Been a customer for 17 years. Due to a banking glitch an $80 bill fell through. Pay trust sent that to a collections agency. I should have been called.
I paid the collections agency, but am still locked out of my funding account used for bill payment for at least 3 more days.
Inhave auto pay rules for credit cards that are stuck
I have mortgage payments that are stuck
I have utility bill payments that are stuck
Everyone in the world will accept funds from my checking account except pay trust. And I cannot even get a supervisor to call me back?
This is horrible policy. It is completely wrong to treat customers who entrust you with bill payment services this way.”
“Extremely dissatisfied with the changes made since the company was recently sold. I was a VERY happy customer for over 20 years. But I cannot express how much I DESPISE the new format. Besides being completely unintuitive...the functionality fails, too. My bills are now late thanks to Paytrust not working. I'll be searching for an alternative. Sad, since I have 20+ years of bill-pay history saved here.”
“I've been with pay trust for 25 years or more. The sad news is that the the old company has been sold and the new owners haven't got a clue about how the website should work. The major changes took place about a year ago when they took a successful website and company and threw it in the garbage. They completely redesigned A successful website And turned it into a piece of garbage. The new website is so complicated that no one can find their way around it without a map both hands and a search warrant. If you are considering signing up with these people I suggest giving their website a "test drive" for a month first. You might also call customer support at least once and try to reset your password.
As if that weren't enough, they started screwing up a bill payments. Bills that had always been on Hto pilot sent from 2 or 3 a year to 2 or 3 a month. Sometimes with unbelievable consequences. E.g. once they failed to pay a Visa card that I used to pay my phone bill, my internet bill and others. This lead to a veritable cascade of problems.
Recently I have had a lot of trouble getting my credit cards that are renewed periodically. I've never had a problem getting the new ards that Visa or Mastercard sends out to paytrust but this year the delay is so long between the issuance of the new card and when paytrust gets around to sending the card to my home that I have now started asking that the banks send me the cards to my home.
I wouldn't give them any stars at all if I could give them a negative score I would.”
“Simply the worst software upgrade in the history of software. In a league of its own.
Remarkable that the company could unleash a pack of programmers to revise the user interface with zero guidance from a qualified marketing team, customers or anyone with an ounce of consumer experience. If no one got fired, it speaks volumes about the company behind Paytrust, whoever it is. That remains a mystery.
Too bad you can't rate this with zero stars.”
