“If I could, I would choose ‘0’ star rating. I have been a customer since the beginning. I have patiently waited for the rollout of this new release hoping that it was being improved and would get better. This is the worst program. Not intuitive, some functions seem to have disappeared. And old payees which I deleted to ‘clean up’ my account have been added back. Trying to pay bills and manage my payees and records is suddenly stressful! In the middle of paying bills, the system freezes and I have to start over. Bring back the original version!”
“Goodbye, Paytrust. I have been a customer since it was PayMyBills.com, over 20 years. I was their best salesman, convincing several of my friends and colleagues to use it as well. Last week, they came out with a software change that makes it completely incomprehensible. Before, it was very easy and intuitive. Now, it's impossible to find the things that you want to do. Someone decided that they wanted to make it more modern, I guess, but they have just made it difficult to use. So long Paytrust. Now working on selecting which competitor I should go visit.”
“I loved Paytrust and have used it for over 20 years. I was never that organized and often had overdue bills just because i had misplaced or forgotten about them. All that changed with Paytrust and have not had a late bill since I started with the service. Two weeks ago I would have given them 5 stars.
The interface was getting stale, but did everything I needed. The new update is unusable for so many reasons I cannot put them all in here. Some of the problems have already been captured by the reviews below, but there are other issues as well.
I truly hope that Paytrust will abandon the new platform and back rev to the old until they can present a better update or I will be forced to abandon what has been one of my favorite Internet services for decades.”
“I have been with payTrust for many years. The new owners of the company are definitely a downgrade from the Intuit days. They released an "upgrade" that is horrible. They didn't alphabetize my payee list. You have to hunt and peck through the list to find a payee. I have never seen anything this bad. I have to find a new vendor.”
“Paytrust just changed their format to the most user unfriendly format I have ever seen. Yes seen. I am a former bill payment executive. I would have fired someone who came to me with this inflexible format for our consumer clients.
On top of it, I had to call them to register my dissatisfaction as their website would not accept an email!”
“I've used PayTrust since their inception in the early 2000's. I can honestly say that I have never had a problem with them. It is a convenient service and at the end of the year I can create reports for each account or for all accounts for a year end total. If you are having a problem since Quicken stepped in may Quicken needs to step up their game.”
“Agree with the other 1-star reviews. Do NOT use Paytrust! They double charged me months ago and refuse to return the extra payment even after I sent them copies of the cancelled check. I have called or emailed them over 30 times, reported to BBB and state of Wisconsin.”
“DO NOT use this company! After 19 years as a customer, Paytrust shut down my account because when they tried to process their monthly fee of $10.95 for some inexplicable reason it didn't go through; there was plenty of money in the account! After spending an hour on the phones with their freaking retarded Philipino customer lack of service people, I was told that I needed to send in a physical check to a PO Box in order to unlock my account. That process will take up to 5 days to open the account once they receive their payment. Now a multitude of my bills that are on auto-pay and electronic delivery to these morons will not get paid! So now I am royally F**KED and unable to contact a person in the USA. Paytrust is now owned by a giant corporate conglomerate FSI services and operates under Metavante Payment Services, LLC. It is impossible to speak to anyone in the USA. Every contact number is automated with no path to a real person! DO NOT get started with this company! Eventually, they will destroy your life! The irony of an online electronic bill payment service demanding a paper check would be beyond funny if it was not causing me so much time and trouble!”
