Dear Dr N Thank you for taking the time to review the boots you bought from us. As a small independent family-run retailer, our reputation for customer service is vital to our business. We are very concerned to hear that you were not satisfied with your purchase. If there was some damage during transit, this is a very rare occurrence. However, this is our responsibility and we are very sorry to hear that our courier has failed to deliver the parcel safely. However, as you have not been in contact with us, we have not had the opportunity to address this matter for you. We are very sad at being judged so harshly without even having had the opportunity of knowing about this issue! Please do email us with further details regarding the problems you encountered. “The customer service of Pediwear was relatively fast and prompt. I bought both Chelsea boots from Carlos Santos and Edward James Loman. The finishing of their house brand is sadly not as nice as Carlos Santos even though they are effectively the same boots.”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for giving us four stars despite your concerns regarding the finishing. I am very surprised to hear you say this about the Loman. We were very pleased with this style when it arrived from Carlos Santos - I even took a pair for my own collection. All of our shoes receive a thorough quality inspection before despatch, so it would be disappointing if we have missed something. Waxed suede does give a rough/non-uniform finish - but this is a feature rather than a flaw. The quality of the stitching on the boots and all other aspects of finishing should be as excellent as one would expect with Carlos Santos. If you remain unhappy with the boots, please do consider sending us a photograph to illustrate your concerns. Otherwise, I hope you have as much fun wearing them as I have - they frequently draw admiring comments! Kind Regards Mike Pediwear

“Overall very positive experience: very good price on the item, quick shipping, well packed. Website easy to navigate, individual item pages have all the necessary information. Based on browsing their website a little more widely, they seem to offer good deals on many very solid quality items. I plan on checking their stock whenever I need something for "gentleman's wardrobe". Highly recommended.”
