I like to buy English shoes in 11.5. I wear a 12 U.S. size but find 11.5 UK fits the best. Unfortunately these loafers I bought were a little bigger than normal but with the price I’ll suffer through.

Pediwear is a very good retailer of close out English shoes, that to some may not be approachable. However, they have fallen on hard times, so if you know your British made she stuff you can snag a true bargain.

We wish to be clear that at no time have we declared that we have fallen on 'hard times' and that this is purely speculation on the part of yourself, our good customer. A business may choose to close for any number of reasons and we do not wish to appear to be playing on the sympathy of our customers. We are a little puzzled at why you should choose to give us only 3 stars whilst making such encouraging remarks?

This is the second purchase of gloves from Pediwear. The first ones I purchased in 2020 at a cost of £34. Two years later the price for the same gloves has gone up to £44. Should I blame Brexit?!

We had a lovely friendly note in with the purchase. Sadly although the box stated ‘Wine slipper size 8’ the contents were brown and probably size 10 or 11! We greatly appreciated the very prompt no quibble refund.

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for noting some positives despite the issue with size and colour. We can only apologise regarding the size - whilst this particular manufacturer does not place sizes on their footwear - only on the box, it was clear that the footwear you returned to us was indeed not as you ordered. The colour was correct however, this slipper is only available in wine and black and the colour you received was wine. However, it is clear that we sent you the wrong product which is well below our acceptable standards. We have since ensured that our despatch department check unmarked footwear against standard footwear sizes to avoid this matter in future. We hope we can be of service again in the future. The ordering process was chaotic. I ordered some slippers to give as a birthday present so it was important that they arrived on time. On a Thursday Pediwear sent me a confirmation e-mail saying that I should get the slippers in 4-5 days then on the following Monday I got an e-mail telling me that the order had not been placed because there was a problem with my credit card details. I reordered the slippers knowing that I had missed the birthday deadline! Apart from that the service was very good.

We reviewed the ordering process and found that the only thing which prevented your order from being delivered as advised was a problem caused by your bank. We could not find evidence of chaos and I am quite confident that all parties involved on our side acted in accordance with our policies and high expectations with regard to customer service. Whilst we do not find ourselves in agreement regarding the chaotic nature of the ordering process, we are pleased that we reached a better understanding with you regarding this matter by email. Dear Mr Warne Thank you for your review and your kind comments regarding the review process. I must presume you have awarded us only 3 stars because the footwear you received had a generic rubber studded sole rather than a Dainite studded rubber sole. Please accept our apologies for this mislabelling. Unfortunately, it has become commonplace within our industry to label any rubber studded sole 'Dainite' whether it originates from Dainite or now. This is clearly not appropriate (and a breach of copyright of course) and it is a practice I have actively stopped on our website. Unfortunately, it seems we were caught out on this occasion by this old style which was still labelled incorrectly. I hope you will be reassured that it is not our usual practice to mislabel in this way. On the positive side, I do not think that this shoe would have performed any differently from a Dainite soled shoe - the soles provided by that company performed well. Pediwear offers a truly wide range of shoes. Especially brands (like Loake) which are otherwise extremely expensive in my country.

After waiting for more than two months, I received the package finally. The shoes are a little bit heavy and the leather is hard to break in.

Dear Customer We are pleased to hear you are pleased with the shoes. Like you, we are surprised and disappointed to hear that the shoes took so long to reach you in New Zealand. We despatched them the day after your order was placed, and usually expect parcels to arrive within 7 to 10 days. It is not clear from the tracking information what the source of the delay was - though sometimes it can be customs related. Please be assured that it is very usual for deliveries to take this long. Good prices but shipping a little expensive, I was considering also getting a shoe tree but the extra shipping was prohibitive ontop of what was already quoted for the polishes and brushes I was ordering

Dear Mr Buck Thank you for your email and feedback regarding our shipping costs. In the first instance, I should apologise for the costs of shipping on your order. I quite agree that they were expensive and that we should have reduced these for you. The reason this happens is that our primary business is selling shoes rather than accessories and our shopping basket calculates shipping costs much more effectively when shoes are included (all of these items would have been shipped free). However, we recognise this fact and have procedures in place to contact customers with lower shipping rates on orders such as yours. I am not sure why this did not happen with your order - we are usually very diligent about such matters - I will remind our despatch team. In the meantime, I have reduced the cost of shipping with your order by a third and will refund the difference. In future, if you email separately before your order with a list of items you wish to your and we will quote you separately for shipping. The quality of your products is very good as as seen online. Unfortunately, I had a late delivery this time around as I was advised a day after my initial order was made that my size for some of the items were no longer available. Even though I immediately cancelled those items, I still had to wait for another 2 weeks before the order was despatched due to other reasons.

Dear Customer Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you had problems with your latest order from us. I have investigated this matter and it would seem that a defective tie was the cause for the delay (rather than the belt). Our despatch team noted that tie we had in stock was defective and ordered a replacement. Unfortunately, this took much longer than is usual and hence the delay. We did advise you of this at the time of despatch. However, there is no excuse for not having kept you informed regarding this delay. Our despatch team are usually very good at keeping customers updated - but clearly, on this occasion, we fell short of our usual high standards. Very good quality shoes for a very good price. However, Pediwear told me the shoes would be delayed and delievered to me in 6-8 weeks. It took them 9 weeks. And when I asked them after 8 weeks how my order is coming along, they didn't bother in replying.

Dear Ms Andersson Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are very pleased to hear that you are happy with the shoes. However, I am concerned to note the issues with the delays and emails, we do not want any of our customers to have reason to be unhappy with any aspect of their buying experience. We are sorry for the delay - you ordered at a particularly busy time, and, as we advised you very shortly after you ordered, the products were out of stock and we had to wait for the manufacturer. As I am sure you will be aware, in this situation we are dependant on the manufacturer's estimated delivery time. In fact a 9 week delivery from an original estimated 6-8 weeks would be considered quite accurate. Handcrafted shoes take time to make and many factors affect the process - we often see much longer delays on such estimates - and some a little shorter. We are hopeful that you might appreciate that these issues were outside of our control, and that, on hindsight - a delivery time of 6-8 weeks for handmade shoes was actually quite close to the eventual 9 weeks? With regard to your emails, we have a professional email archiving system as we are required to have by law. This records all incoming and outgoing email. I can find no evidence of the email you mention. Further to this, I have found two emails from DHL's system saying that their emails to your address had been rejected as 'unknown sender'. We answer all of our customer emails within one working day - and we certainly do not leave emails unanswered. Hopefully our very many excellent reviews mentioning our excellent communications will help to reassure you in this respect. Given the absence of emails in our system and the emails from DHL it seems probable that there was an issue with your email server. I hope our explanations offer some answers and we do hope that this experience will not stop you from ordering from us again. The CS team are friendly but it kinda stops there. i have mixed feelings. As it was Christmas I was considerate with response and ship times. Once they got the stock the order was quick. Unfortunately I then ordered the wrong size ( although did consult the website size guide) after having to send back my shoes for a high amount ( not so much your fault) it all kinda went down hill

We are grateful for your patience with the delays around Christmas, this was a very busy time for us. I am not sure if I understand what part of our service 'went down hill'. I understand the shoes did not fit and you have to send them back - but since this has been arranged and they have yet to arrive back - and I cannot see evidence of any other complaint I am concerned that we might be missing something. I bought a pair of Grenson but was charged incorrectly. They did not applied the right amount on my credit card. They managed it quick, but I was a little disappointed at first... The service is globally very responsive. The package is well taken care and arrived without any damage.
