Shop assistant advised us the shoes we wanted (Malton Tricker boots) were discontinued yet when we got home, we ordered from their website. Delivery was late due to sizing and they were a birthday present so disappointing. When they finally arrived, they were perfect. Quality, hard wearing shoes.

Dear Customer First of all we are pleased to hear that there was a happy ending and that you are pleased with your purchase. I am sorry to hear about your difficulties, I must say it is most disappointing that you were told that the Trickers were discontinued. All of our staff are well aware of the procedures for ordering and we would expect them to consult with our brand managers in the office before making such a declaration. I will bring this matter to our next shop meeting to ensure there is no repeat of this, please do accept our apologies for the disappointment. The delay you refer to was caused by the manufacturer - who very unusually for them sent one size 9 and one size 9.5 in the same box! Whilst we understand your frustration particularly in light of the fact it was a birthday present, I am satisfied that we did all we could to keep you informed and obtain the correct footwear as soon as was possible. We hope to see you again in the shop soon - please ask to speak to either Julie or Gary who are our men's sales experts. There was nothing wrong with Pediwear service or products. although I prefer a round toed shoe rather than one with an unnecessary extended toe with nothing in it which causes front of shoe to crease, but that is a personal style thing The problem with buying shoes over the internet for me was getting the right size shoe. If a better way could be found with regard to sizing I am sure that would stop possible returns.The reason I came to pediwear, Is the selection plus I do not like trawling around shopping centres yours David Connah

I ordered a pair of slippers and it took almost a week before they were shipped. I had to call them to make sure that they would arrive in time before christmas. The service was good and I realize that the staff was very busy, but I think that 7 days is too long to wait for an order to get shipped.

Thank you for your review - we are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the delivery time for your order. Thank you for letting us know that otherwise the service was good. I checked your order and the delivery date and see that it was delivered within 9 working days from the day you ordered it to your address in Denmark. I note that we advised you by email the day after your order that we would deliver your order within 12 working days. Whilst we appreciate it is frustrating for customers when deliveries take longer at busier times, I hope you will appreciate that we provided prompt accurate information. It is possible that your item was not in stock and had to be ordered in - at this time of year these slippers sell quickly and we frequently have to replenish stock. Dear Customer I am sorry to hear of these problems. Assuming that you are unhappy about being charged shipping at full rate for the three items, I can only apologise - we usually adjust these shipping charges when processing the order. Your shipping charges should have been reduced to £3.49 - which reflects the cost to us of shipping these items. We are charged by weight so the more items, the more it costs - but certainly not £6! As a good will gesture I will refund all of your shipping for this order - I hope this will improve your opinion of our service - we do not like our customers to be unhappy with any aspect of their order. Placed 2 orders, Barker shoes, delivery was delayed but once arrived they were fine, Barker belt, delivery was rapid. Would use again in the future.

Dear Customer Thank you for your review - we are pleased to hear that you are happy with the products - we are also very pleased to hear that you would consider using our services again. However the fact that you have only considered us worthy of 3 stars is concerning - we want everybody to have a five star experience. I looked into your order and I see that the day after we received your order we notified you that the product was not perfect. Rather than send this to you we would order a new pair from the factory. We were then able to despatch the replacement pair within 2 weeks of receiving your order - as it was not immediately available from the factory. We are sorry that the first pair was not perfect and that a delay resulted, we understand that such delays are frustrating. However, we do hope you will appreciate that we did all we could to rectify the matter as soon as it was discovered. Excellent product that was nicely packaged. My only grip was that my order took some time (3 days I believe) to despatch and I had to chase to find out why. A simple email apologising that that were busy during the January sale would have made it a lot better. Maybe I was expecting too much, but pediwear has exceptional reviews so I was expectung top notch service.

Dear Customer We are pleased to hear that you are happy with your order, though of course it is disappointing that you should feel let down by our delivery service. We are sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. I had a quick look at your order, which I see you placed on 13th. We emailed you on the 14th and advised that your order would take 2 - 5 working days to arrive. We usually advise 2-3 days for UK orders - and in fact most arrive within 1-2. However we advise a longer period (2-5 days) during our busy sale period so that customers are aware it might take a little longer. I see from the tracking information that your order was delivered on 19th which is actually just 3 working days from our advice email. I suspect that you must have missed this detail from our advice email and I think this highlights some room for us to improve. Instead of just adding a longer delivery period in our advice email we could, as you suggest, add a little note of apology explaining the reasons for delay. I bought a pair of Loake Mallory driving shoes, Shoes for driving were find, I take a 10.5 shoe size, These shoes were labelled 10.5 , but for walking they were loose, had to pack the toes out with tissue. I did email Pediwaer but the answer I got back to not solve my problem. regards Bill Shepherd

Dear Mr Shepherd Thank you for your review. We are always disappointed when we do not receive 5 stars from our customers - customer service is such an important part of our business. I have taken the time to review our correspondence with you to see how we could have done better. We are sorry of course that the shoes you bought do not fit you. Stephen's email to you does such a good job of explaining the issues with loafers and fittings I wont go in to this further here. I should also point out of course that we would have been more than happy to receive the shoes back for a refund before you had worn them - but I am sure you will understand this is not possible once the shoes have been worn. In your email, whilst you certainly mention the problems with the fitting of the 10.5 loafers, and the adaptations you had made, you were actually asking for fitting advice regarding another shoe. Since you had not asked for any further help with regard to the loafers, and you were wearing them - I consider that Stephen's reply was appropriate. I hope you will continue to use our service - Stephen is a fountain of knowledge when it comes to Loake and fitting and we would always advise an email or live chat with him before buying to maximise the chance of a good fit. There was a handwritten note with my shoes which was a nice touch, presumably explaining the delay in their arrival. I couldn't read a word if it, but I suppose it's the thought that counts! The shoes are great.

Dear Mr Morgan Thank you for your review and comments. We are never entirely satisfied unless we receive 5 star reviews so we are disappointed your experience was such that you should leave 3. We send handwritten compliment slips with all our orders, so this was nothing to do with the time taken to deliver your order. However I am concerned to hear that you found it illegible and I will be taking this up with our despatch department. Please accept our apologies for this. We did send an email on 21st October advising you that your order would take 8-10 working days - though I suspect you might not have received this, judging by your comments. Unfortunately the shoes were out of stock with us and we had to order them from Ecco. If fact they arrived with you within 7 working days which is ahead of the prediction in our first email, though I appreciate if you did not receive our advisory emails this would seem like a significant delay. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay. I hope you better understand the reasons for the delay - and most of all I hope you are happy with the footwear. Thank you for taking the time to leave us some constructive feedback - I am sure our compliment slips will be legible in future. All parcels sent outside the EU are protected with corrugated cardboard and should arrive in excellent condition. If they do not we would like to know so we can take this up with the courier. I can't really give you a correct feedback, this was the first time i was buying something and it hasn't been the best experience, homepage said 5-8 workdays and i have called you a several times and one month later iam gonna receive the package not the one i ordered but the one i self suggested! Dear Customer Thank you for your review. We share your disappointment regarding your order - but unfortunately the first parcel we sent was lost by the courier. This is quite a rare occurrence and I am sure you will appreciate, quite out of our control. However it is very frustrating for you, our customer, and ourselves - when we do all we can to despatch an order promptly and it ends up being lost! We can understand your further frustration when you discovered we no longer had stock of the valet boxes - unfortunately these are discontinued and we cannot obtain any more from our supplier. We have, however, offered you either a no quibbles refund or alternative products - and as you have stated - you opted for alternatives which I believe we despatched promptly. Whilst we understand your disappointment, we hope you will appreciate that much of this matter was out of our hands and not related to poor service on our part. I regularly buy shoes on pediwear.co.uk. And always something annoying happen. last year they gave to me shoe trees with different sizes (one shoe tree is M size, second - L size). Shop offer to me new pair of trees, and that good seller behavior, but I thought it should be a cause for show more attention next time. Last order I ordered a brown brogues and ask a wax polish "match my order" because I don`t sure what colour of wax I need - medium brown or dark brown. I thought sellers known what tone colour match to my brogues and put in box. I was surprised when I seen that sellers gave to me neutral wax, not brown. Why? Wrong colour is nothing serious, but unfortunatly wax polish was broken - crumple up and didn`t open. So my rating - normal, because shop didn`t show attention to me.

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction - particularly as you are a valued regular customer of ours. If we are not able to match a colour precisely with our polishes we often use the neutral polish as this provides the shine and protect without any danger of altering the colour of the shoes. Whilst some customers do not mind if their polish slightly changes the colour of their shoes, this can cause concern for others, so we have found the safest policy is to issue neutral polish. However, we are happy to engage in dialogue with customers by email in order to obtain a colour which they would be happy with - the Saphir range of polishes in particular is quite extensive. With the help of their colour comparison charts and open discussion with our customers we are usually able to find a colour they are satisfied with. I hope we can convince you that we were trying to send polish which would not cause problems with your shoes rather than not paying you the due attention you deserve. shoes are fine, but they were delivered late. you indicated you could get them in and to me by a certain date (21/10 I think) but in the event they were late.

Dear Mr Chell Thank you for your review, I am pleased to hear you are happy with your shoes. I cannot help but share in your frustration that you were not kept up to date in relation to your order. Whilst we cannot control the output from the factory, we have systems in place so that orders can be chased when they become overdue, and it seems this was not done in your case. I tightened up these systems two weeks ago in the hope of avoiding just such an incident. Please be assured that this sort of thing should not happen in future. Loake are usually very reliable when it comes to giving delivery time estimates, which is probably why Stephen felt able to confidently advise you, but we should have kept you updated when the shoes did not arrive. Further to this we also stock exclusive styles in Barker, Loake, Trickers, John Spencer and Alfred Sargent. However, we are concerned to hear that you did not consider our communication adequate in relation to expected delivery time. I have reviewed your order and I note that we emailed you with one working day to advise you to expect delivery within 10 working days. We then emailed you on the 10th working day to advise you that your item was being despatched. According to our tracking information it was delivered 2 days later - a total of twelve working days. I am sorry that we did not meet our original estimate - this is disappointing. However I do wonder whether you might not have received the emails we sent because we certainly did attempt to keep you updated with the order.
