“The Pediwear site was intuitive and easy to use. The sheer number of search filters was magnificent. Even though I’m across the pond, the boots shipped quickly. Included in the package were some complimentary polish and a shoe horn, which were a lovely touch. And I’ve no complaints with my gorgeous Sanders Jodhpurs, either with fit or with price!”

“The customer service of Pediwear was relatively fast and prompt. I bought both Chelsea boots from Carlos Santos and Edward James Loman. The finishing of their house brand is sadly not as nice as Carlos Santos even though they are effectively the same boots.”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for giving us four stars despite your concerns regarding the finishing. I am very surprised to hear you say this about the Loman. We were very pleased with this style when it arrived from Carlos Santos - I even took a pair for my own collection. All of our shoes receive a thorough quality inspection before despatch, so it would be disappointing if we have missed something. Waxed suede does give a rough/non-uniform finish - but this is a feature rather than a flaw. The quality of the stitching on the boots and all other aspects of finishing should be as excellent as one would expect with Carlos Santos. If you remain unhappy with the boots, please do consider sending us a photograph to illustrate your concerns. Otherwise, I hope you have as much fun wearing them as I have - they frequently draw admiring comments! Kind Regards Mike Pediwear

“I have used Pediwear for many years and I am always satisfied. The Barker Glencoe boot was as expected, comfortable fit all be it a little tight across the width but the stretchers sorted that out in a few days. A “G” rather than an “F” fit would have suited me better but this is a personal issue and no fault of Barker. I would certainly recommend the boots and of course Pediwear.”

These indicate that there was a problem with the addressing of your parcel - your local courier is waiting to have the full address confirmed. Have you tried contacting them? “Shoes are rally nice, but i bought them in December 2020, because of a transport issue (which i did not cause) the deal was repeated in January 2021. This turned out to be not a fantastic idea because of the brexit. Because of that i had to pay a massive amount of tax and fee (about 80 euro!!). It would be a great thing, if you find a way to send your shoes from somewhere inside the european union. Will i order again? I do not know because of the taxes...”

“I chose the Saphir box instead of others because it had space and gear also in the lid, it was not "just a box". However, this makes the box "top-heavy", when you open the box it tips away from you and the gear inside tumbles. I expressed my dissatisfaction to you and asked for a 50 GBP reduction but this was refused as you claimed that there was nothing wrong with the box. In fact about 5 years ago I bought through you an Ettinger wallet. (Bentley series). The CC slots are too narrow, about 7 mm compared to my other wallets. When all slots have cards in them it is extremely difficult to extract a card. I sent the wallet to Ettinger - I don't know what they actually did but the wallet still does not work well. I realise that articles from Saphir and Ettinger are a bit outside your normal range but I thought I´d tell you. A mail order firm like yours must build on trust and happy customers! Take care of your kit, sorry customers, and your customers will take care of you!”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and for giving us four stars despite your concerns. With all due respect, I am a little unsure why you are telling us about the wallet. From what you have said we were never made aware of this problem? If we can still help you with the wallet please email us - though at five years I am not sure what we would be able to do. With regard to the Saphir box, if you were unhappy with it, as with all our products, you can, of course, return it. We would consider both Saphir and Ettinger to be part of our main offering. We are very familiar with both companies and their products. As a small family business, our success and indeed future survival is based on our reputation for customer service, We would be sorry if you consider we have fallen short of this in your particular case, but having reviewed the matter, I would reiterate that the best course of action would be for you to return the item you are unhappy with (assuming it remains in its original condition).
