It took me more than 6 weeks to get paid for my iPhone. Got a good price but it was absolutely not worth the stress and hassle involved. PhoneConvert first claimed they couldn’t pay me because it was still locked to my iCloud account, which was untrue. They then offered to return it but nothing happened. They eventually paid up once I’d posted a negative review and contacted the press. Don’t make the same mistake I did!

Hi, As we stated via email your device was lost in the post in returning the phone to you. We sent payment to you and are now having to make a claim with Royal Mail. Regards, Phone Convert

I sent my phones to them on the 20th January and after repetitive email requesting my phone or my money I got a reply and was sent money for 1 out of 2 phones and was told the other phone would be assessed and then I’d be sent my price, it’s been over a week and I’ve still not been emailed saying that my phone is being assessed.

I sent in my phone and was told it was damaged I queried the damage they were unable to provide proof. proceeded to ignore me for a week. in the end i just accepted the quote. as it was too difficult to actually get a hold of anyone. if your phone is actually worth any reasonable amount of money. avoid! i noted the value following the so called damage matched that days price for trade in of my phone and not the value they offered a few days ago. unreliable and difficult to get a hold off.

Admittedly efficient at picking up and returning my phone with clear communication. I however sent in a phone in near perfect condition, as good a condition as a 2nd hand phone could realistically be in. They adjusted their offer by reducing it by £50 citing a fault that I dispute is even there, let alone noticeable. Waste of time

Dear James, Your device has an LCD burn which causes the previous screen to remain faded in the background and this can get worse. We offered to send photos and explained this is unfortunately a very common fault with the Samsung Galaxy S6. If you were to send it else where you would have lost a significant more than the amount with offered. Hope you understand and the device was return free of charge the same day you rejected the quote. Regards, Phone Convert

Very disappointed! I sent a phone in perfect working order the only problem with it was some wear and tear, the plastic for the on button had fallen off but was fully functional when pressed. I had charged it and reset the phone to delete my photos and contacts before sending it off. I would of completely understood if they had decreased the amount slightly as to replace the button; however, they claimed the product to be faulty with no further details on what was faulty about it and reduced the offer by £54, like i had given in a phone that didn't work. I'm extremely surprised that a replaceable plastic button is worth £54, considering I found a replacement button for £1.95 on Ebay. They do not answer the phone or reply to emails. The extra star is simply because they provided paid for packaging to send it off initially. They offer to return the phone at a cost. I'm still waiting for their response to inform me what is faulty and maybe I can share the link for the £1.95 button with them because their suppliers are clearly charging an arm and a leg for a tiny bit of plastic. I'm hoping that they can still redeem themselves when they finally get in contact. I'll be back to update.

Dear Charlene, We have received your negative feedback but I do not understand, as you do not need to accept the quote and we will return the device free of charge. This means you do not lose out in anyway and sell the phone again if you wish. We do not buy parts from ebay as these are genuine items and will eventually full out, and we did replace the power button to test and there are further faults with the button. So please before the negative feedback please let us explain the situation and we will help in ever way we can, you have not contacted us to state your opinion on the matter. You have not let us not if you reject or accept the quote we have had no contact. Regards,

poor service from company, on first contact re a problem phoned up around midday , no answer, so left message, no return of call, so emailed same day, again no reply, company sent registered mail enovolpe 3 days after contact (they don't rush), posted phone off, they received it Monday but didn't email confirmation of receipt till following day mid afternoon then following afternoon another email saying after inspection price was knocked down, they seem to do minute inspections of phones even though aware not brand new & may be slight problems, wondering if actually do recycle phones at all or sell on, they offer lot higher prices than any where else but clearly knock this price down a lot, don't pay money same day as receipt, upon an re offer of quote if don't reply by 1.00pm same day they take further 3 working days to pay money. I received my cash 3rd day after receipt quite late at night, phone only 8 months old & taken very good care of it being in a hardback leather case since day one & was no damage to phone on sending but company says quite bit of damage & sent photos which wasn't clear enough to show damage, company even get mixed up re orginal quote they gave saying it more than was quoted & then on knocking down it comes to orginal quote,

We are sorry you feel this way, but there were a number of issues with your device. Your device had 2 cracks and 2 large dent on the casing, these issues were shown to you via photos sent to you with no reply. Other companies do not offer this service and will not send photos. We offered to return the phone to you free of charge for next day delivery which you rejected. We do apologies as it was processed a day later than it should have been, but unfortunately this was due to the late responses. The money was not paid straight away as we were unware if you wished to receive payment or receive the phone back. We raised the original quote because the device was 32Gb instead 16Gb and the price is higher for the higher storage, again an email was sent. So this was not an error but a service we like to provide for customers so they receive the correct amount for the device we receive. We are sorry you were not happ, Kind regards, Phone Convert

Packaging arrived quick. confirmation arrived next day and that phone was being looked at was quick. Then sadly took 6 days to receive payment by bacs. I have used other phone recycling companies in past and got same day payout. will not use this company again.
