“5 emails sent requesting update on phone not one reply requested payment or return of phone still nothing. Fortunately I work for a legal company so they have advised me to take further action. It's appalling companies can cheat you out of your belongings like this. Very bad experience and an unprofessional company so all beware don't be fooled. I gave all the evidence to go forward and make a case to resolve this matter.”

“Absolutely disgraceful!!! This is not a company, they are just thieves!! They have now had my 2 phones for 10 weeks and I have still not received payment for them after being told payment has been sent! I have also sent an email 4 weeks ago expressing my dismay in a resolution to this transaction and Phone Convert haven’t even had the decency to reply to my email?!?”

Dear Nathan, I have reviewed your order can see you were not provided with the best customer service and I apologize. One device was processed quickly but I can see there was an icloud issue with the second which delayed your order. This was not however communicated correctly and I am sorry for this. “UPDATE: Resolved and refunded the money. They sent me a cheque after a long delay and after chasing multiple times and finally providing them with a proof that the phone is delivered. They accepted and sent me a cheque after at least 3 more email follow up. Suprise does not end here! Cheque bounced !!! I contacted them again that cheque is bounced and sent them a proof from Barclays however they failed to acknowledge and after multiple follow-ups, they just keep making excuses and finally they said it will be cleared in 24 hours, however, more than 6 days passed and I am still waiting for their 24 hours to pass! I am done with them and I am filing a court case against this company. I request everyone to stay away with this company, They never give you the price quoted and even after agreeing with the new price they will give you NOTHING!!”

“The most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Would not surprise me if this isn't really a company at all, but one guy (apparently named Will) sat in his bedroom surrounded by phones he has no intention of paying for or posting back to the owners. Am fairly certain the vast majority of the good reviews left on this site are by the company themselves, to combat the ever growing volume of negative reviews. Sent my phone in at the start of December, received a quote for less than initially offered. Queries why quote was lowered but received no reply. Chased them again a couple of weeks later for them ask what my order number was and what the issue was, despite having it on their system. Few back and forth trivial emails. Eventually then said they would send the phone back 2 weeks ago but, alas, I have not received anything. Now February and no money to show, nor phone back in my possession. Have started a small claims court claim because I cannot see them ever willingly returning my phone or sending any money. HIGHLY advise against using this company.”

“Worst company ever. Sent my iphone xs max in december. Have not received the money. When I emailed them they said it was delivered to the building next door and that they would return the phone. But I've not received anything. Reported to action fruad. SCAM.”

“Sent my phone in the bag and address that Phone convert supplied after a price they offered was accepted by me. After a few weeks I hadn't heard anything so I email them asking where was my money, they emailed back telling me that they haven't received it I replied by telling them that it was tracked I had a date and time when Phone convert actually received it..I was then told that Damon was going to collect it from the delivery company. A few weeks passed not heard a thing so I emailed them asking where was my money! I got a reply telling me that the phone was damaged so they offered my a lower price,the phone was fine nothing wrong with it but I thought any money is better than none,so I accepted this lower offer..they then told me that the money was in the post..time went rolling by but no cheque arrived. I then email them again telling them that I would put my experience on social media on how I was ripped off as well as many other people that was wripped off by this so called company. They offered to pay straight away if I could give them my bank details not on your nelly I thought so I gave them my PayPal address to make the payment didn't really trust them. Anyway this has been going on from October last year up to February 3rd. Still not received a penny from Phoneconvert so I will put as much on social media to tell as many people not to use this RIP off company of my experience.”

“I was quoted a specific amount, however due to a screen replacement whilst I had the phone in my possession they offered a revised price that decreased by £15. Just for a screen!! It is basic knowledge that good customer service is a pretty significant requirement for the success of a business. Apparently replying to emails promptly as they had advertised on their website is too much to ask. They stated on their website that they reply within 3 hours during business hours. It has now been 4 days, which may not sound like much but it is misleading that you quote 3 hours and yet I do not not receive a response regarding payment. Secondly, I do not understand that after accepting the revised price why payment is not given immediately, especially when I have provided the method of payment prior to sending my phone on the basis that I assumed that I would receive a prompt payment. Furthermore, when I have viewed negative reviews regarding lack of payment after receiving the phone, I sent an email about timescales and I do not receive a reply! It’s honestly a joke! I don’t understand how you think you can advertise a prompt and courteous service when it has been anything but. There are several positive reviews left on the website but I don’t believe the authenticity of them, or if they are, you cannot just pick and choose when it comes to customer service. It’s not rocket science to provide all customers with the same type of service as described in the positive reviews. There are also several different methods of contact, including a telephone number, however it’s convenient that a digit is missing. I’m sure I won’t have been the first customer to have mentioned this, but yet this hasn’t been corrected. If I do not receive a reply by the end of next week, I shall report you to Trading Standards as well as filing a report with your local police station. I would not recommend them at all!!”

“I sent my phone to phone concert in November 2019. Weeks later I was given an offer which was less than half the original price quoted. I was given the option of either agreeing to this reduced rate or having my phone returned to me. I asked for my phone to be returned to me. In January 2020 my phone had still not been returned to me. I have been in email correspondence with Phone Convert for weeks now; first they told me that they have lost my phone and offered me another reduced price. I refused this rate. Finally they agreed to pay me the original price quoted, I have had weeks of excuses saying they have sent the money or will send it the next day but I still have not received my money!! I am disgusted with the service I have received! I also asked for a telephone number so I can’t contact over phone rather than email and have been ignored! Do not use this company!”

“I would like to award no stars if possible as this company has taken my phone and not sent payment. Initially they denied receiving it and we had to produce a tracking number as proof. Then they offered us much less money than promised as they said the camera lens was damaged. We disagreed but like other customers felt if the phone was ever returned it most certainly would be damaged by the time we received back. On accepting the lower sum of money we were told the payment would arrive soon in our bank and three weeks later it has not been done. Unsurprisingly Damon is not responding to emails. We are following the steps advised by Trading Standards and BBC Watchdog and I urge all other customers who have been ripped off to do the same.”

“Sent my phone in after they gave me a good price. Didn't hear anything so I emailed them they said that they haven't received it yet..The phone was tracked and I have a delivery date and time of which Phone Convert said they still haven't got it. I kept emailing a man called Damon to find out where my phone is after a few weeks I got a reply saying that the delivery company still had it and he will go and pick it up. 3 weeks later no reply from my emails or any money that was guaranteed from this company.”

“It's been over 2 months now since I started the process of selling my phone to this company. Despite several emails, only some of which have been answered, I still have not been paid. Excuses included: 1) Delays caused by hospital visits. 2) Unavailabilty of payment cheques ("It will take 5 - 10 days for the bank to issue them"! 3) Nagging for my bank details which I rejected as I had requested a cheque several times. My conclusion can only be that this company is either grossly incompetent or acting unlawfully. I will now be reporting phoneconvert to Action Fraud.”

“This company is a joke! I sent in my phone at the end of September 19, I had heard nothing by the 10th October so emailed. The response was that they emailed me as my phone was cracked with a new quote. Funny as my phone was sent in great condition, I wrapped it in bubble wrap and pocket air wrap was placed in the box. I searched my emails and nothing but every email has come straight to my inbox since. 3 weeks later I am still arguing the case and now I'm told my phone will be returned but I need to claim for the damage but I ask why was it signed for and the damage not picked up with Hermes earlier, I'm livid and £160 down! Stay away from Damon and Phone Convert”

“Have been without my phone or payment for months now. Agreed the reduced quote and since then an email stated payment made to my account however nothing received. Contacted them loads of times but only ever receive and email stating"I'll look into this" then that's it!!! They have too many false reviews making it look like their a good company when in fact they are theives!!! Has now been resolved but only after i has posted these reviews.”

“Said they had received my two phones and that they are both locked. I cant verify if this is true or false, so emailed login details to them to unlock. Have not heard nothing since and phones were not returned. My advice would be use your supplier or contract company only £5-£10 difference”

“I am with all the people who had bad a bad experience as I have had the same - 3 weeks before the phone was marked as arrived then offered me 2 pound the phone was marked but worked fine. Then I received an email saying payment was made £2 yes its not about the money still nothing?? - something is not right about this company and think they need looking into in respect of all the bad reviews - PLEASE DO NOT send a high valued phone here - please go to mazuma or someone and take a little less money trust me it be worth it - VERY DODGY company!”
