“I was quoted a specific amount, however due to a screen replacement whilst I had the phone in my possession they offered a revised price that decreased by £15. Just for a screen!! It is basic knowledge that good customer service is a pretty significant requirement for the success of a business. Apparently replying to emails promptly as they had advertised on their website is too much to ask. They stated on their website that they reply within 3 hours during business hours. It has now been 4 days, which may not sound like much but it is misleading that you quote 3 hours and yet I do not not receive a response regarding payment. Secondly, I do not understand that after accepting the revised price why payment is not given immediately, especially when I have provided the method of payment prior to sending my phone on the basis that I assumed that I would receive a prompt payment. Furthermore, when I have viewed negative reviews regarding lack of payment after receiving the phone, I sent an email about timescales and I do not receive a reply! It’s honestly a joke! I don’t understand how you think you can advertise a prompt and courteous service when it has been anything but. There are several positive reviews left on the website but I don’t believe the authenticity of them, or if they are, you cannot just pick and choose when it comes to customer service. It’s not rocket science to provide all customers with the same type of service as described in the positive reviews. There are also several different methods of contact, including a telephone number, however it’s convenient that a digit is missing. I’m sure I won’t have been the first customer to have mentioned this, but yet this hasn’t been corrected. If I do not receive a reply by the end of next week, I shall report you to Trading Standards as well as filing a report with your local police station. I would not recommend them at all!!”

“They quoted £50 and once they received the iPad they re-quoted £5!!!! They said it had a smashed screen but it was in excellent condition before I sent it. They send you a plastic bag to put it in so no wonder things get damaged. Fuming, such a con!”

“I sent my phone to phone concert in November 2019. Weeks later I was given an offer which was less than half the original price quoted. I was given the option of either agreeing to this reduced rate or having my phone returned to me. I asked for my phone to be returned to me. In January 2020 my phone had still not been returned to me. I have been in email correspondence with Phone Convert for weeks now; first they told me that they have lost my phone and offered me another reduced price. I refused this rate. Finally they agreed to pay me the original price quoted, I have had weeks of excuses saying they have sent the money or will send it the next day but I still have not received my money!! I am disgusted with the service I have received! I also asked for a telephone number so I can’t contact over phone rather than email and have been ignored! Do not use this company!”

“I am owed money. The reviews say it’s quick and easy, but it’s clear they are written by the employees or owners. I have been waiting over two weeks and promised payment two times. I have asked for my phones or the money but I am being ignored. DO NOT USE THEM. IT IS A SCAM”

“I sent in my phones last week. I received an email about them needed to be reset. I was told that I would either receive money or my phones back. That was last week, I have not received payment, my phone or any communication since. I sent in four phones and I have gotten nothing for them. I will report this to police and citizens advice by end of week. I am so upset. I have reported to Action Fraud and I have the address I sent the phones too, as it is located in Cornwall I will report to Devon/Cornwall police. DO NOT SEND THEM YOUR PHONES. I didn’t want to believe bad reviews but they are legit. I have sent FOUR phones and was quoted 200£ and have not received ANYTHING. UPDATE 17/1: I finally heard from them as I left a bad review. I was quoted 229£ but received an offer for around £70. I was told i would receive payment on 17/1 at end of day.... and since they were taking care of this was asked to remove my review. I have still not received the payment as of 18/1. UPDATE: 20/1: I was contacted after chasing my payment - was told on 19/1 that if I had a paypal they would pay me immediately. I gave them that information-14 hours later. I am still awaiting payment. They’ve asked me to remove this review - once this is sorted out, don’t really want to. I shouldn’t be having to chase the money that they promised me multiple times. THIS IS JOKE. DO NOT USE THEM”
