I renewed a subscription and I received the same spices as before. When I contacted customer service I never got a reply. I had done it as a gift and was extremely disappointed the person got repeats of the same things.

Hannah, sorry that you were disappointed that 2nd gift subscription sent some repeat spices. To clarify, we have enough spice blends in our catalog that we don't send repeat spice blends in a 22 months *consecutive* period and we're adding new spices to get to 2 full years without repeats. Also, we always send new recipes to use spices for a totally new meal experience. I reviewed your order and see there was an 19 month gap from when we shipped the final shipment from the 6 month gift to the start of the new gift so that explains why your recipient has received some repeat spices. Your recipient will start to receive new spices as the overlap ends. All of our subscription customers receive the same thing each month so we can make this cost effective for everyone. So, subscriptions cannot be customized. If you prefer to choose exactly which spices the recipient receives, we sell all of them individually on our site and can offer that to your recipient for the remaining orders.

I've been disappointed with the amount of spice included. Almost every one of our recipes had called for more spice than was provided. The recipes themselves have been ok. We're fairly adventurous eaters, but haven't felt overly excited about many of the recipes.

I am new to Piquant Post and received my first shipment last month. I haven't cooked with the spices yet so I can't speak to the flavor of the blends. I am unfortunately not a fan of the blends that I received. More importantly, I only received one recipe with each spice blend which is very limiting if you have any dietary restrictions at all (I am Gluten Free). I tried to look on your website for other recipes to use and didn't find a clear path to where I might find some. I feel it is very important to give at least 3 recipe options on your website for each blend for subscribers to access. If I hadn't signed up for the 6 month subscription, I probably would be cancelling based on this first experience because I am stuck with spices I don't know what to do with. :-(
