“The controller itself feels great. I only wish I didn’t have to remove my phone’s case every time I want to use the controller. I’ve also noticed interference in Bluetooth audio (AirPods Pro specifically) when using the Lightning pass through port for charging. Separate note: I’ve not been successful in redeeming the code for Xbox GamePass Ultimate. The website to redeem tells me to check my email for additional instructions, but all my emails just say to input the code. I’ve tried using the code on 3 different web browsers with the same results. If someone could reach out to me to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it.”

“Generally works great. I’ve really enjoyed using it for iOS games as well as streaming games from a computer or console. Occasional restarts are required when the controls want want to connect. The button clicks are quite loud. My first backbone stopped working after about a month and customer service replaced it for me.”

“I absolutely love this thing! I love just about everything about it. I can’t leave the house without it. However, I have two things that I wish can be changed or improved upon. 1: grip size and feel; I have pretty big hands and find myself constantly readjusting my grip due to the handles being so thin and small. My hands also tend to slip too. 2: the analog sticks are way too short especially for FPS games like call of duty mobile and games on Xbox and PS4. In conclusion, I believe that if you guys maybe made a premium version for serious gamers that can have the option to have taller analog sticks (maybe some that you can screw on and swap out) and larger grips with an anti slip back on it the product would do well. I would certainly pay extra to get the more premium feel without having to bring my Xbox controller. This way you can have the less expensive one for casual gamers and the more premium version for hardcore gamers.”

“Overall this gaming accessory is awesome, and have recommended it to many friends and family. But unfortunately my left analog stick has fallen out numerous time which led me to losing it completely. Now I am having trouble finding a new one so I can continue to game.”

“After a couple of day of use, I've lost audio output whenever I connect the backbone to the iPhone. I can only hear the audio when I put headphones in now. Other than that, it's a remarkable product. Happy to buy another if they can fix this issue.”

“Very pleased with this controller. Love the fact that I can play games with my family on the go, and with a quality comparable to the switch. I ended up buying 3 units (one for myself, my wife, and my son). We all own iPhones (8 plus and X). Unfortunately I can’t give this controller 5 stars because with each controller we purchased there seems to be there own individual defect. The first one I purchased for my wife has a very sticky A button - very unfortunate when being in the midst of a battle and you can’t predict your own moves. The second one I purchased for my son seems to periodically lose connection with his iPhone and has to be reset in the middle of a game. The last one I purchased for myself doesn’t have any physical issues other than the backbone app not booting up correctly the first two times it’s launched (not allowing me to launch a game from the app). I would highly recommended this controller to anyone (and I have), and would strongly urge the backbone team to keep on making improvements and comparability enhancements.”

“I love the functionality and the compatibility of the device. My only problem with it is the fact that I can’t use it with my phone case. That means I have to remove the case when I decide to use it and that creates a clumsy step that occasionally prevents me from wanting to use it.”

“Works really well with my iPhone XS Max. The build is high quality and the buttons have good travel. Super compact and portable. Cons are that your hands can get tired after a while and the buttons response while playing games can be replayed or non-responsive requiring you to press it multiple times for it to register.”

“Nearly perfect controller/hub app combo experience. The organization of core tools in the app (like search all games) is a bit hidden away, but if it starts having a clearer structure (less like a Netflix endless mosaic scroll) it’ll be unbeatable. The hardware rules and it’s convinced me gaming on mobile is immersive and deep enough to keep up with.”

“It’s great joysticks and buttons work fine really feels like a controller I don’t know if y’all meant it to be portable and played everywhere but y’all should have a carrying case or travel bag for it I’ve just been using the black box it came in to take it places”

“I got it it was so good till a while it will not connect to my phone anymore. i’ll explain it: the button to screenshot/record it will not work anymore of the app. like i said it’s good till one button ruins everything and your $100 of a controller a waste.”
