“Bought SolarShower 300 unit from Powerbee. Within 3 months it had failed. Returned it for a replacement (& paid the postage). Within 10 months this one was completely dormant, too. A hopeless waste of money. Best avoid.”
“I just called Powerbee to order an extension cable for my Sunspray SE 500. My reason was quite simply because I've had two battery packs fail through leakage and I now want to just run the unit off sun from the optimal position in my garden. I thought I was being helpful in explaining that I'd had two units fail - I wasn't making any form of complaint or asking for a refund. The person I spoke to became very aggressive and told me that the only way the unit could fail through leakage was because I had installed it incorrectly. I didn't understand what he meant as there is no obvious way to "install" the unit other than to make the connections and leave it on the ground. The person I spoke to hung up on me and, when I called back, he told me to "piss off". I will not be making an order but I will be relating this experience on every review site I can find. I've never had such rude behaviour.”

I agree with others with regards to faulty products. I received two sets of solar lights. One set is working fine, the other set has failed within a few weeks. Response from 'Nath' is woeful. The company try to get you to fix the issue yourself & clearly avoid any kind of refund even if faulty. He seems to think I'm pulling a fast one for the sake of 30 quid, what an imbecil. I raised a case with Paypal and the response to my personal email from Nath is a veiled threat of legal action for daring to share evidence to PayPal. See response below from his email below and you decide if this is a serious company?
Avoid this shonky outfit where possible!
Hi Steve thats a shame you have made a paypal claim so and so we now view this as a defensive case we will be inspecting the units that you return very very carefully as these are the only units in our entire history to have the same fame the same fault And for all four of them to have that fault the probability of this is almost zero The other is if you look at the email Steve to see that it is against the law to share any correspondence as this is protected by the data protection app we had a lawyer add this text to every single email that we send and I do not take lightly the sharing of it with anyone else including paypal

“Do not buy from this company. Their customer service is very poor. Their solution is for you to buy replacements and not acknowledge that an item is faulty. They will find a reason to explain that you have done something wrong with the item and then negate any responsibility. I spent £100 on two solar lights that stopped working at exactly the same time after five months. Located in different parts of my garden. This is nothing to do w the product it seems. Go elsewhere!”
“I've bought several things from Powerbee over the years and thought they were good quality. But then I bought a battery security light which was faulty and had to deal with their "admin", who was rude and unhelpful. I managed to get a returns label from him and sent it back for an exchange but they refunded me and haven't answered subsequent emails. I now see many much cheaper versions of the same light on Amazon, so I've bought from them instead. Reading other reviews it seems I was lucky to get the label and refund. Avoid Powerbee - no clue about customer service!”
“My solar fairy water feature was £68.99 from Power bee and was deliverd within 3 working days but when opened it had a piece broken off at the base of the fairy which did not happen in transit as there was no piece inside the box so looks like power bee do not check the products before sending out .
the annoying thing is that they did not reply to my e mail to the admin team or there support team they also do not allow a voice mail on there phone contact and even when I put a note with the returned item they still never contacted with an apology , they did send me an e mail that just said credit memo.... please think twice before purchasing from power bee.... no good with communication or checking goods before they leave the farm so you may get a faulty product but hey if you are one of the lucky ones you may not”

“Do not purchase unless you are 100 percent sure that what you are buying you are to keep! I ordered a solar lantern which most of it was in a plastic that could not be used again once opened but i packaged it up in my own plastic which may i say was better than it arrived. I returned as i found to be £25 cheaper on another site , i expected to pay carriage for the return but not a additional £5 which i am assuming they charging for packaging won't use this company again or recommend!”
“Very upset with this company's attitude and lack of transparency. Do not buy from this company unless you are a 100% sure you will not return anything for a refund. I ordered items that i didn't think were value for money when I saw them. I send an email asking for the procedure to return. I received very unhelpful email just referring me to the Terms & Conditions. The Terms are not transparent and very unclear. The company deduct their costs from your refund. Problem is they will not give you any clue how much they will deduct until they have the goods and inspected them. Even when I asked how mush they would deduct from my refund if they were happy the items are 100% condition as sent out. This left me very uneasy as they could basically take what they want from your refund. They couldn't even offer me any reassurances once I explained my concerns. This has left me NO choice but to travel 2 hours to return the goods. I found their customer service skills non existent and was left surprised that they can operate with unclear Terms which are not clear,misleading and dishonest.”
“I have just received an order from this company, one of a great many over the years, and we have always respected them until now!
They had a flash sale commence on Friday morning, the 24th. January 2020 but my wife was not notified of this until 12.05 by Email on that day. . However, I had been notified the day before (Stating that the sale started Friday). My wife held back from ordering on Thursday, the 23rd. So that we could purchase our items at the sale price. She then ordered on the Friday morning, as per the email received by me, but they have failed to honour the sale discount, saying that the sale didn’t start until 11.00am!
We shopped with this company in the early days, when they had respect for their customers, but now, they have joined the ranks of other companies, who are only concerned for themselves and not customers. This company has now become obnoxious in their dealings with purchasers, and now cannot be recommended. They are looking after themselves at the expense of customers.”
