“This site puts YOU in control of your energy costs. The info is relevant, easy to understand and up to date. They give you the information, and it's up to us to choose the best energy scheme for our needs. Very helpful.”
“Shocking. Put in my details...I was paying 154 a month and u recommend a new provider who would charge me 115 a month for same usage. 2 months later the new provider has changed my direct debit to 210 a month as I'm now in debt. Absolutely disgusted with your service.”
Hi Roger, thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we're sorry to hear you're unhappy with your experience.
We can confirm that your switch to Share Energy was submitted through Power to Switch on 12th January and completed at the start of February. The Share 24hr tariff you moved to is priced at 25.29p/kWh (inc. VAT), rising to 31.96p/kWh from 1st April — both of which remain below the 38.37p/kWh rate that applied with your previous supplier once your fixed-term deal ended. So while we understand the situation feels frustrating, the tariff you've moved to is still cheaper on a unit rate basis.
Regarding your direct debit increase, this is set and managed directly by your new supplier, Share Energy, rather than by us. We'd strongly encourage you to get in touch with them to request a review, it may be based on an estimated or incorrect meter read, and ensuring your account reflects accurate reads can make a significant difference to your payments. Energy suppliers are also required by regulation to regularly review direct debits against actual usage and adjust accordingly.
We hope this helps clarify things. If there's anything further we can help with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
“Don't be concerned about switching energy provider. Very easily done, no hassle and you continue to receive the same energy service at a cheaper price. What is not to like.”
