DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, or Hunters Estate Agents who recommended them! I wish I had seen these reviews before 'choosing' them, as we are having all the same problems. Eway / Premier Property Lawyers (and Hunters) ...... you should all be deeply ashamed of yourselves and embarrassed by your incompetence and poor customer service!

We initially instructed Premier Property Lawyers on the sale of our purchase back in October and were allocated Rob Whittle. Whilst acting on our behalf Rob didn't seem to know the answers to - or be prepared to research - some of the questions that we raised to him, he came across as very passive throughout our dealings and we ended up having to find out and research a lot of things ourselves that we would have expected to fall within his role. One of the main issues that we faced was the need for indemnity insurance for an extension on the property we were selling. Rob was extremely unhelpful and even when presented with a quote from a company that were happy to provide cover, didn't pass information of this cover on to our buyer. After a painful few weeks getting nowhere with Rob, we contacted our buyer ourselves who appeared to be equally annoyed with the lack of communication from our solicitor. We were informed that her solicitor had made several requests for information/documents from Rob, many of which had gone unanswered. With our Buyer pulling out due to information not being provided, we only found out a week later when we contacted our buyer directly. Rob at no point passed this information on to us. With a new buyer found for our property and a new solicitor; Josh, handling the case, he was then furloughed. Whilst we completely understand the difficulties that COVID 19 has placed on businesses, when Josh was furloughed with our sale/purchase so close to completion, there was again no communication to advise that he had been furloughed and no other advisor taking ownership of our file. We were having to make contact daily to find out what was happening with the case and what was needed from us. Every time I called there had been an update and at no point were these being passed on without us being the ones to make contact and ask for it. Again, we were having to be in direct contact with the buyer ourselves in order to know what was happening with the sale of our property.Seemingly, you were not making contact on the side of our purchase either as we were having constant messages from our seller asking us for updates. Given how much we paid them to handle the cases, it seems absolutely ridiculous how much of the communication we had to do for ourselves. With the exception of Josh, communication from the team has been absolutely unacceptable throughout our sale and purchase - contributing to us not only losing our first buyer but also almost losing the house we were buying and now being £2000 out of pocket for funds not returned to us. After raising a complaint, we did get £250 compensation but it definitely doesn't make up for the 8 months of headaches caused by the company.

Absolutely shocking! 5 months into my house sale, still no completion date. Despite multiple requests for a phone call and still not received one. Requesting numerous indemnity policies that are not required and are coming at a cost to myself. Such a shame that house simple use them as I couldn’t fault the estate agents at all.

My sale has been stuck in its current situation for nearly two months. When I have asked why things are not proceeding, the response I have received is that the estate agents and the sellers solicitor has not responded to emails about the draft contracts. On eWay, I have seen that correspondence has been exchanged by the estate agent and my solicitor, making this claim false with regards to the estate agent. My conveyancer, at no point, has indicated that she has attempted to communicate with the seller's solicitor via phone or email (no exchange of email is shown on eWay), leading to me having to get in touch with the seller directly to see what the situation is. The seller (who is also using the same firm) has informed me that she has uploaded all required documents, but says that her solicitor is yet to receive a sales memorandum. I explained this to my conveyancer and her team via email, but no action was taken. This issue, in fact, has not even been acknowledged to date. This led to me having to contact the estate agent myself who confirmed that the seller's solicitor had received the memorandum. I then sent two emails requesting that Meg get in touch with the seller's solicitor as a matter of urgency. These emails were acknowledged through eWay but went ignored. This situation has caused significant delay to the conveyancing process in addition to myself and the seller having to chase different parties, which we pay our conveyancers to do. In addition to this, the seller has completed the purchase of a property (bought after selling this property) which could be put at risk the longer these delays go on.

My daughters house sale through premier properties has been a total nightmare, almost taking her to a nervous breakdown. It has been 6 months and they are still asking totally unnecessary and pointless questions, as three other solicitors have pointed out. We are now on the point of withdrawing the house from the market, as financially and emotionally we can’t hold on much longer. They are a complete joke, haven’t a clue and we are probably reporting them to the law society. DO NOT USE

Very poor conveyencing firm. Documents I am expected to sign were incorrect, they furlough their staff and then use it as an excuse for very poor customer service. The last two entries on my file are me chasing for an update on the the 27th April, and then me email chasing again today. So in 5 weeks it would appear that they have done precisely nothing. Very poor.

AVOID you will never speak to the same person twice, that's if they even bother to reply. 3 days to read an email meaning a simple exchange of information takes over 2 weeks. That's under normal circumstances, Corona has had them increase to 8 days. So if your buyer/sellers solicitor emails them it won't even get looked at for 8 days, then if there's an issue and they reply the same day 8 more before they even read the response leading to long delays. Joke of a company.

This is just a joke, just a bunch of incompetents. Everything was ready to go for the middle of March but they made excuses to postpone, some highly unbelievable, and then agreed on the end of March, but then used COVID 19 as another excuse. We are in the middle of May, no update at all simply nothing, How can they operate a business like that? contacted them today they answer me back with a response from an email dated 6 April, they have done nothing to chase it up. Absolute joke. For your own sake, whoever reads this, please don't use them for anything, totally useless.

Not a customer of premier property lawyers, but my buyer is. Everything was ready to go for the end of february, but they made excuses to postpone, some highly unbelievable, and then agreed the end of march, but then used covid 19 as another excuse. Here we are today due to exchange and conplete, and no one can get ahold of them. Absolute joke. We have had many problems with trying to get in contact, lots of phone calls via my estate agents and own solicitor to try and get them to respond, but would take a few days at least to hear anything, and even when we did hear anything it would be another reason for them not to be ready.

I am currently watching my poor sister trying to complete on her sale and purchase. Delays are NOT due to covid crisis and she should have completed weeks before this. She’s now facing the prospect of the chain breaking and owing thousands. I will be encouraging her to take this further!!

Just totally incompetent and pass the buck for their work onto the customer to do! They then come out with lame excuses like "we only represent you for a freehold sale, not a leasehold" 4 months into a sale, without even being correct in their definition of the situation. One quote was "Just to let you know, as conveyancers, we are not qualified to interpret wills or cannot assist with the Probate application I am afraid" Then what's the point of a solicitor??? And if they had found out what was involved at the start of the sale not the end, why didn't they say they would not be able to act on my behalf?? It's a complete joke of a setup, and for Purple Bricks to affiliate with them makes them part of this dragged out con and farce. They haven't done anything to help either. The whole operation stinks of a scam, or at least utter legal incompetence and total lack of professionalism across the structure. They have probably lost my buyer at this point due to time wasted over 4 months to sell a vacant property! 0 stars!

I really don't have the words...the amount of times i have felt apoplectic with rage is way off the scale. We now have Corona virus. My sale should have been completed weeks ago. It is now 7 months on, and my flat sale is yet to reach exchange. It is shared ownership transaction - no chain, both seller and buyer working in agreement and harmony. I do not know what is causing the delay. I have lost account of the amount of time i have sent chase up emails. I would give score of 0 if i could. Why do Purple Bricks use them? Woeful, hopeless

Exactly the same experience as everyone else - By far the worst legal firm I have ever had to deal with in my life - poor communication, never reply to calls or emails. Staff are just rude - say they will take a message and pass it on. but never do - call and call and call, email and email and email - if i could give Zero i would
