“Told completion date was ok, but now told delays in exchange of contracts saying they are waiting bank statements from buyer when previously we were told everything was sent. Confused and feel it’s just excuses and delays for what reason I’m not sure.”

Assigned conveyancer, was difficult to communicate with, when asked questions were asked, i.e why are you asking for documents that I have sent previously and believed them to be the correct ones? She responded in defensive and patronizing manner, without any full explanation of 'why' . She was then unavailable when the sale reached exchange stage.
This turned into a blessing in terms of communication, as the person who picked up the case, was friendly and professional and explained what had previously been unexplained and I felt supported through the final and stressful stage. However, I was disappointed that I had the cover the cost of indemnity insurance and expedition fee. I feel with better communication / explanations by initial conveyancer, these cost could have been avoided.”
