“We took out a loan about 3 months ago. Was only 600 pound to help pay off some bills as we fell behind on a few payments. The guy come round went through it all, he got the money out counted it on the table and that was that. Money went in the bank few direct debits were dealt with. 3 months down the road were paying bk 800 pound still out of over 1200... Andrew were in even more debt than before. They make it seem cheap with the wkly costs your paying back. But we're paying back 100 a month, were even more behind with bills than ever all because we took out this loan to help with money in the first place. They make it hard for some one who's desperate for money to say no after they lay the money out Infront of you. We have 800 pound left to pay and I CAN NOT wait for this to be finished! It honestly couldn't come sooner.. Or it could actually! Never agian will I go with this joke of a company.”

“Very rude collector demanding in our home that family members can’t stay speaking to adults like we was school children all the way through the application was tutting he was questioning why phone wasn’t answered when he rang 1st time he isn’t going to get very far speaking and been dam right rude to people who pay his wages”
“Home credit loans with extortionate interest are a legalised form of loan sharking. People often turn to home credit due to poor credit history. This is then took full advantage of with extortionate interest rates. No amount of form signing, paperwork or telephone calls can disguise the fact that it essentially preying on the financially vulnerable, Also provident do not comply with any financial Ombudsman service recommendations or timescales regarding irresponsible lending. My complaint is still ongoing since september 2017 and im still waiting for a senior ombudsman to be allocated after provident rejected my adjudicators recommendations to redress interest ive paid.
Awful company do your self a favour and stay well clear!”
“Felt let down by the complaint department and by the delay it takes the company to respond to my emails or the Financial Ombudsman Service especially as they had to 27th August 2019 to do so. There seem to be communication issues between the different departments as well. Very poor at dealing with complaints when it requires them to pay some money back.”
“Stay well away. Both me and my husband paid back our loans to have them knocking on the door every week bugging us to take out another loan. Eventually we gave up and took another one but since they changed we had no collection for months so fell behind. Last week I was away for a week and couldn't get internet to pay. 1 week was all I missed !! She has been at the door every day !! Avoid !! Harassing loan sharks dressed up as a company !!”
“I've finished paying mine off but my husband hasn't we haven't had a regular collector for a little while nobody's told us why we actually had somebody knocking at 9 at night when we were all in bed . We have been with you for years but I won't use you again and neither will my husband when he's finished service has been very poor.”

“Please be careful with Provident, your pay nearly 100% back. There is one other thing you all need to be careful about, If you need to take care of a loved one who has become ill and you go part time from work to care of then and your money is less per month, inform Provident (which would be the right thing to do) they will have to accept your offer under the circumstances. However over the time that you pay less to them the next six year will show on your credit report that you have had late payments on your account with Provident. This would over these year make it harder for you to get credit. my report now will show late payments for the next 6 years, this is because i had taken care of a loved one (my mum had dementia and also a stroke, provident was aware of this).”
“Never use this company I've had £800 stolen from me by a agent in Berkshire.
I paid alot in cash, the agent ask for my book and apparently lost it for months then I find out that none of my cash payments were being paid. I've raised this with provident and agent was sacked and I was refunded £200 in still been ripped off by £500 so my advice don't waste your time as you could end up paying alot more than you think”
