“Sometimes in life it’s very simple: if you’re going to the Galapagos and you can afford to do it in style, there is no other boat you should pick then the Grace. Having seen many of the other boats around the archipelago, there is no arguing that this is the most stylish, beautiful ship among them. But that’s only the hardware. The software – the crew, the service, the food and the overall experience – is not only impeccable but absolutely delightful. With only 18 guests onboard and 14 crew to man the ship and attend to your every whim, we had the best week of our life. From Captain to Cabin Boy to Naturalists – everyone was a delight to have around. The culinary creations by Chef David and his team of three were superb throughout the week and if our kids (8 and 10 years old) felt like hamburger and chips for a change it was done with a smile and a laugh. There is thus no doubt in my mind that the Grace was the best choice we’ve ever made and I see no argument in favor of a bigger ship. Maybe they are a bit more stable in rough seas, but if you’re prone to seasickness you’ll probably also get seasick on a bigger ship. A smaller ship allows more flexibility (the motto of the Grace), less time wasted getting on and off the pangas and overall a much more personal experience. A big heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire crew, Raffa and Carolina for an unforgettable experience!”

“Quasar exceeded its 5 star rating for every aspect of this trip. First, the M/Y Grace is elegance without formality with an amazing Captain and talented crew who made our trip extra special. Our two National Park Guides, Carolina and Walter, were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We really lucked out with the 15 fellow guests on our week who were a diversified and fun group of adventurers. Finally, my most treasured memories will be interactions with the abundance of wildlife the Galapagos is home to. Sea lions, sea turtles, hammerheads, reef sharks (even a whale shark!), marine/land iguanas, and many many species of birds to name a few far exceeded my wildest dreams. This one week on the M/Y Grace will be in my heart forever.”

“We loved this Quasar trip and rate it the best trip we have ever taken. Every detail was taken care of and it was the most relaxing, but busy, active and fun filled, daily adventure imaginable. We loved our guides and we loved the crew! We loved our fellow travel companions that we met. We saw the most amazing wild life and appreciated our guide's knowledge of all that we saw. Everything was timed so that we barely shared any location with any other tourists and loved Rafa's moments of silence so we could hear what we were seeing. Highlights for me were the penguins, the Orca whales, the tortoises, the birds (Frigates especially), but all birds, the sea lions of course and oh my, the Manta Rays!!”

“We found Paul and Diane online when we were researching a trip to the Galapagos. We researched boats; determined the type and quality of boat we wanted and settled on one connected to Quasar. Had we known about Quasar before, it would have saved us google time! Nevertheless, from the time we were connected to Quasar and Paul and Diane, the planning went smooth as silk. Diane answered all my questions, sent information and booking forms right away, advised us on what to expect, and what to bring, and kept us in the loop from booking through stepping foot on the boat. You can trust the information you get from Paul and Diane, and that is so very important when planning a trip so far away and that costs so much money!!! And, they are so pleasant to deal with. If there were more stars, I would give them more!”

“From the moment I got to the Galapagos and got on your beautiful boat, my trip exceeded any expectations I may have had! Each day was a new discovery, from the moment we swam with the sea lions to our last day on North Seymour island with the frigates and the booby’s! Our naturalists, Gustavo and Walter, had so much knowledge And their love and respect for their islands was palpable. I can’t imagine that I will take another trip in my life that will top this one, so thank you so much!”

“I felt at home and supported for ALL my needs, be they questions about nature and the Galapagos, or our itinerary and food options. Everything on the ship was clean and tidy, and the rooms were very spacious for a ship. I can’t wait to join again!”

“Unequivocally one of best active travel experiences we have had to date. We strongly recommend doing a back-to-back itinerary; the two weeks flew by. The staff of the Grace couldn't do enough for us. Superb meals, wonderful ambiance aboard, amazing snorkelling/hiking experiences -- a photographer/videographer's dream come true.”

“Going to the Galapagos had long been a dream of ours. After calling several other sites I spoke with Paul & Dianne of Quasar Expeditions & knew immediately that they were who we wanted to go with. They are informative, helpful & not pushy.We booked a 7 day cruise on the Evolution a 32 passenger boat. From the minute that they meet you at the airport to the minute that they take you to the airport to leave, they are the most professional & fun people that you could ever want to be with. The boat is spotless, the meals were excellent, the guides and the entire crew are terrific and the islands are spectacular. We spent the day before in Quito to avoid any travel problems & had a guided old town tour [ highly recommended]. If you are thinking of going to the Galapagos, go with Quasar Expeditions, it's definitely a 10 out of 10. Marc & Phyllis Berger Niantic, CT cruise date 1/12/19”

“Best Trip with Naturalists Ever. I've been to 45 countries and 50 states. I've been on 2 cruises, one river cruise and whitewater rafted the Grand Canyon. This was the best trip ever. The naturalists were all outstanding. It's my first time snorkeling where I had instruction and was taught about what I was seeing. The crew was always very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The boat was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. The cabins were larger than any boat I've been on.”

“A fantastic week on board Evolution. Service and all members of the crew were excellent-they couldn't do enough to make everything perfect for their guests. Food was of a very high standard ,beautifully presented. The naturalists were brilliant. Their enthusiasm was infectious . We learnt a lot .”

“We have just returned from a Jeep Overland Safari to Patagonia in Chile and Argentina organized by Quasar Expeditions. We did the self guided trip as we wanted the independence, but Quasar took away all the worry of the logistics which left us free to really enjoy ourselves. They thought of everything, from safety equipment such as a satellite phone for emergencies to cooler bags stocked with goodies. All hotels, tickets for national parks and excursions, border crossing documents to airport transfers were taken care of. Memorable excursions included a great day at an Estancia, where we went horseback riding to ice trekking on the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentina. We also did a pre-trip add on to the Atacama Desert which was a wonderful start to a magical trip. All the Quasar staff we came into contact with were wonderful, including the staff who we organized the trip with, a big shout out to Tasha Williams who helped create our trip. It is all very customized and Tasha was always available to answer our questions. I would highly recommend using Quasar and I am sure my husband and I will be reminiscing about this holiday for a long time to come.”

“Our Galapagos cruise on the Grace was the most amazing trip! The ship is beautiful, the crew was amazing, including our fabulous guide Rafa. And our Peru extension to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu was wonderful. Every day was a new adventure, it truly was the trip of a life time.”
