Visiting the Galápagos Islands had been at the top of my bucket list since studying evolution in high school. The best decision we ever made was to take this trip with Quasar on M/Y Grace. The entire experience surpassed anything I could have imagined. The Grace was a beautiful luxury yacht and the staff were of the highest standard catering for everything that would make this a trip of a lifetime. In charge of guest services was Deborah , I cannot rate her highly enough.you never had to ask twice for anything and she was absolutely lovely. Also , a special mention for our two naturalist guides, Rafael Pesantes (Rafa) and Franklin. Both were so knowledgeable and friendly . Rafa, our head guide I imagine is one of the top rated guides in The Galápagos. His knowledge of his home .. the islands themselves was incredible and he delivered this knowledge to us in a fun and highly articulate manner. I think we ‘struck gold’ with both these guides. If I had any criticism at all, it was only that maybe a second bar staff at pre-dinner drinks time might have helped. A trip of a lifetime made extraordinary by choosing Quasar. I intend to return and it will definitely be with Quasar again!

We did go for the 6 day Patagonia jeep safari with guide in October. Our program was custom made with excellent help from Quasar (Philip) including two nights at the Singular hotel in Puerto Natales and three nights at Tierra Patagonia . This turned out to be a very good balance. It allowed us to enjoy two nights at the Singular, one of the best hotels in the world with a very nice views and a superb restaurant. We had programmed a short boat trip to the Estancia La Peninsula, a very enjoyable day! The Tierra Patagonia hotel, close to the Torres del Paine national park is also excellent with an always present manager taking care. Three days were sufficient to explore Torres del Paine especially since we had excellent weather. Quasar delivered as advertised, very professionally and very well organised. Our local guide Gonzalo was outstanding : friendly, knowledgeable, very good driver, perfect communicator. We did go for easy walks in the park and this was a very good choice giving us plenty of time to enjoy the landscapes and the wildlife. Thank you Philip and Gonzalo for this once in a lifetime experience!

As I'm sitting here watching the snow fall, I am wishing it was Thursday night three weeks ago when we had finished the most delicious dinner and were laughing and frolicking onboard MY GRACE. It now feels like a dream! It was the most outstanding trip for many reasons. First, the beauty of the Galápagos Islands is indescribable as is the beauty of MY GRACE! My husband and I LOVED everything about our trip. Words cannot describe how we especially LOVED LOVED the crew! From our outstanding guides Rafa and Walter, Captain Jacinto, lovely Melissa and Nelly, fabulous chefs Vicente and Walter, charming Sau'l, the bartender, engineers Edgar, Luis Miguel and Pedro and panga drivers Miguel and Pablo...let me put it this way...I choked up as we departed at the thought of never seeing them again!! Thank you so much all of you for showing us all the time of our lives!!!! PS And wow! Everyone of them really knows how to "shake a tail feather!" Xoxoxo

We had a phenomenal holiday in the Galapagos and Quito thanks to Quasar. Our week on the Grace was one of the most relaxed and pampered of our lives. The team were exceptional from the time of first enquiry. Nothing was overlooked and nothing was too much trouble. Quasar gave us the best opportunities to experience the islands, such that many days, it felt like we were the only people on earth. The food and service was top notch and the guides enriched the trip with their extensive education and local knowledge. We will be back!

Wonderful trip. The Grace is a terrific boat. We loved our cabin and the common areas. Staff was superb especially accommodating Lynette’s dairy allergy. The excursions were great fun...especially the snorkling. Our naturalist (Sam) was extremely knowlegeable and entertaining. I would highly (highly) recommend the Grace to anyone thinking about a trip to the Galapagos.

We voyaged on M/Y Grace the last week of November 2018. This adventure clearly exceeded our expectations. Your staff, at all levels demonstrated a strong passion for their work and went out of their way to attend to every detail making our voyage exceptional. The Captain demonstrated outstanding leadership and clearly enjoys the respect of all staff, manifesting itself in their motivation to make the guests experience that much better. The food was excellent. As an example of adapting to the guests requests, we asked for “light” beer, and although there was only a little available on the first day, it appeared from ‘nowhere’ for the balance of the trip. The Director made the operation run smoothly and did not hesitate to help the staff when needed. Communication was clear and balanced. All staff, panga drivers, housekeeping, general maintenance and all of them - our room was immaculate and always done for us in a very timely manner. You should be very proud of having secured such excellent guides. While both were clearly kowledgeable and highly dedicated, Rafael, in particular, is unbelievable with his passion and ability to explain things very clearly and at the right time. We would not hesitate to recommend Quasar to our friends and definitely would adventure with your company in the future if our destination matches your expertise/catchment area. The approach of the Grace can also be underscored with the word “flexible” - adapting to the tides, following the Orcas, and I could go on - OUTSTANDING! There are segments of this voyage that included quite rough waters, but the staff made everyone aware in advance. The wildlife, geology, culture, history and experience did not disappoint and we thank you for making this an outstanding experience for both of us. It was seamless connecting on arrival and on departure. The entire boat was kept impeccably clean at all times, all times.

The trip far exceeded any expectations I may have had! The passengers clicked immediately~ enabled by the incredible crew and naturalists who worked constantly and consistently to ensure we were engaged, establishing an inclusive, fun, adventurous atmosphere. Our days were filled with diverse activities that enabled us to experience Galapagos holistically: from geographic to plant life on land and in sea- we saw and were provided insight and background on everything in an thoughtful manner. The crew took such pride in their work while being so pleasant - it was not lost on any of us that they made our trip of a lifetime truly spectacular! I would encourage anyone to consider Quasar- their guests come first and they provide an unparalleled experience!

My children and I had a great time touring the Galapagos islands on the Evolution. The crew members were all really professional and they made our 7 nights stay onboard feel so at home. Each meal was carefully planned by the chef and despite being on the boat, everything was really delicious and fresh. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. They were always patient with questions my kids had and would look out for them while on excursions and snorkeling trips. The whole experience was so special and even though we had no cellphone or Wifi connection for 8 days, my 4 kids didn't complain at all cause they were having so much fun and they kept us busy each day.

From the moment I stepped out of the park headquarters building and met Sam, one of the National Guides, and the rest of the crew, I didn't worry about anything all week long. The crew and staff was so courteous, friendly, and competent that it seemed like everything worked by magic, though of course it was all their hard work the entire week. The islands themselves as experienced during the excursions were nothing short of awe inspiring. Baby sea lions, crabs, untold varieties of birds, iguanas, sharks, fish, flamingos, orcas, turtles, tortoises... and the amazing thing is how unafraid of humans the wildlife is. Something very primal inside of me was touched and awakened in the Galapagos- just being there had that much of an impact. It really was the crew and the Evolution that made the trip, though. The food was wonderful, the cabin was cozy, comfortable and cleaned multiple times a day (perfect for me as a solo traveler, though it could have easily accommodated another person too), the guides did an amazing job of sharing their immense knowledge of the wildlife and geology, and there were many surprises that brought a smile to my face each day. The only time I was ever uncomfortable was in the air conditioning in some of the public spaces. I wish I had brought some additional warm clothes for dinners and briefings as I hadn't anticipate being that cold. Of course, temperature is a balancing act when trying to keep so many people comfortable and the crew did their best to keep all of us happy. Overall, I wish I could go back tomorrow! It's a gorgeous place with wildlife beyond compare, and the competence and friendliness of everyone at Quasar made this the perfect vacation.

We have always wanted to visit the Galapagos for a long time. Quasar provided an amazing experience. Our guide, Alex, was incredibly knowledgeable on all things pertains to the islands and the interaction of native plants and species & the stresses that humans and introduced creatures. As far as touring.... Alex made the trip. One of the best guides we've ever interacted with. Quasar provided a very comfortable vessel with spacious rooms. The food was fresh, delicious & excellent. They made sure all guests were well taken care of. We would definitely recommend Quasar to anyone who wants to visit the Galapagos. There were numerous hiking opportunities, snorkeling and wildlife tours.

Sometimes in life it’s very simple: if you’re going to the Galapagos and you can afford to do it in style, there is no other boat you should pick then the Grace. Having seen many of the other boats around the archipelago, there is no arguing that this is the most stylish, beautiful ship among them. But that’s only the hardware. The software – the crew, the service, the food and the overall experience – is not only impeccable but absolutely delightful. With only 18 guests onboard and 14 crew to man the ship and attend to your every whim, we had the best week of our life. From Captain to Cabin Boy to Naturalists – everyone was a delight to have around. The culinary creations by Chef David and his team of three were superb throughout the week and if our kids (8 and 10 years old) felt like hamburger and chips for a change it was done with a smile and a laugh. There is thus no doubt in my mind that the Grace was the best choice we’ve ever made and I see no argument in favor of a bigger ship. Maybe they are a bit more stable in rough seas, but if you’re prone to seasickness you’ll probably also get seasick on a bigger ship. A smaller ship allows more flexibility (the motto of the Grace), less time wasted getting on and off the pangas and overall a much more personal experience. A big heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire crew, Raffa and Carolina for an unforgettable experience!

Quasar exceeded its 5 star rating for every aspect of this trip. First, the M/Y Grace is elegance without formality with an amazing Captain and talented crew who made our trip extra special. Our two National Park Guides, Carolina and Walter, were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We really lucked out with the 15 fellow guests on our week who were a diversified and fun group of adventurers. Finally, my most treasured memories will be interactions with the abundance of wildlife the Galapagos is home to. Sea lions, sea turtles, hammerheads, reef sharks (even a whale shark!), marine/land iguanas, and many many species of birds to name a few far exceeded my wildest dreams. This one week on the M/Y Grace will be in my heart forever.

Every detail of the trip was considered. It was interesting, well thought out, with absolutely lovely accommodations. Perhaps the best trip we have ever taken. Thank you for making both Patagonia by jeep and a week on the M/V Evolution such a great experience.

We loved this Quasar trip and rate it the best trip we have ever taken. Every detail was taken care of and it was the most relaxing, but busy, active and fun filled, daily adventure imaginable. We loved our guides and we loved the crew! We loved our fellow travel companions that we met. We saw the most amazing wild life and appreciated our guide's knowledge of all that we saw. Everything was timed so that we barely shared any location with any other tourists and loved Rafa's moments of silence so we could hear what we were seeing. Highlights for me were the penguins, the Orca whales, the tortoises, the birds (Frigates especially), but all birds, the sea lions of course and oh my, the Manta Rays!!
