“WE LOVED OUR TRIP TO ECUADOR. It was a trip of a lifetime. The guides were excellent with great English skills: Rafael (driver to Papallacta), Miguel (guide to and in Otavalo), and Gustavo (guide at Sacha) and Norbi in Cuenca. We liked the drivers and the accommodations. The hotel we stayed at in Quenca (Cruz del Vado) was a bit of a problem. The rooms were VERY small and HOT (with little ventilation). The hotel building is historic and beautiful, the location was great, but with no outside windows... it is not a pleasant place to stay. They have two rooms (101 & 102) that at larger and with outside windows (and a balcony) that are exquisite. We were not so impressed with the Hilton in Quito, but we did love the EB in Quito. The entire trip (air flights, accommodations, etc.) was extremely well planned and organized. We highly recommend Quasar to our friends. One small improvement would be to change the second-day pick-up in Quito to 11 or 12 (rather than 9:30 AM) since the Spa will not let you into your room until 3 PM. Also, on the way back to Quito from the Spa, it is possible to visit the Sasha Rose Farm (my wife is a gardener and this was one of the high-points of the trip). You can take a tour for $10 at the Sasha Rose Farm. We did that. It is only 20 minutes from the airport, and well worth the time. One other thing to mention: Diane Schick gave us a "tip-guide" and this was very helpful. We shared this with other travelers and they really appreciated it.”

“It was perfectly organized and run. Being met at the Guayaquil airport for our flight to Galapagos was very helpful. One glitch was that we had been told that tips for the naturalists and crew could be done via credit card, but this turned out not to be true. We did have checks, so the problem was not serious, but we had planned on paying with credit cards, not wanting to carry large amounts of cash. All in all, a fantastic trip for a family of 11.”

“Our week aboard M/V Evolution was the best week of my life. Our crew thought of every single detail to make sure we were comfortable and cared for. The meals and snacks were fresh and tasty, the daily schedule was filled with activity and learning opportunities. Our naturalists were extraordinary. My daughter and I consider our adventure the trip of a lifetime. It exceeded our highest expectations.”

“The most memorable trip of my life! The accommodations were really comfortable, the crew and guides quickly became “part of the family”. Every day they took us on a new adventure (or two). Each event was well planned and executed with knowledge and expertise. Even the meals, which were delicious, were well organized and enjoyed by everyone. The birds, tortoises, ocean life and reptiles were incredible! And it was all done with a careful eye toward protecting the Galápagos wildlife and their environment. Everyone who gets a chance to experience this trip should jump at the chance. Thank you Quasar for organizing and flawlessly executing this very special trip.”

“The U.S. and local staff of Quasar answered all our questions promptly, and were able to accommodate two changes in our sailing dates due to Covid. They also made PCR and rapid Covid testing easy, and stayed abreast of the quick changes in Covid travel policies by various countries.”

“Our travel agent Diane and the Quasar team did a fantastic job helping us plan and coordinate our recent trip to Ecuador. We had a wonderful guide and driver take us from Quito to the Cotopaxi region. Here we explored Cotopaxi National Park and stayed at Hacienda Porvenir, learning to make empanadas and experiencing horseback riding. We then flew to the Galapagos where we had the trip of a lifetime on the Evolution. All of Diane's recommendations were fantastic and the itinerary went very smoothly, including the covid testing arranged for us. We are so grateful for her expertise and excellent work!”

“This is one of the best trips I’ve done!!! Galápagos offers gorgeous places filled with beautiful animals. A must see! And the way to visit it is with Quasar, for sure. The Grace is elegant, the food delicious, the service is amazing, the cabins are super comfortable and remarkably clean, the guides are experts, and the staff is excellent, friendly, helpful and with attention to detail. Everything was perfect!”
