We took the Overland Safari by Jeep tour of Patagonia with Alvaro as our guide and companion. Everything from the first enquiry was handled professionally and the each day was an unbelievable experience with each overnight accommodation providing comfort and an experience in itself. Our guide's knowledge and friendly assistance provided a complete package and many enjoyable hours as we covered large areas and saw nature at its best. The hikes we took were great. We consider it is an experience that we should do again one day.

I guess my email to my friends in the US and Australia said it all after the trip. I just had the best trip ever to date. We had the best crew, best boat, best guides hand picked from the owner for our group, weather was perfect, best food, more activities to participate in, if this is the standard of a small ship tour, I have had the best the first time. Everyone within our group would use the Quasar Expeditions for another tour with each other again. Words cannot convey the amazing 7 days. And the crew is so respectful of being part of Ecuador's Galapagos Islands. It went so far above what I could have expected. It will be hard for another company to have this standard. This set of Islands needs company's like Quasar to protect the islands while giving people an experience of the beauty and wonder of Galapagos for generations to follow.

Using Quasar was easy as they took care of everything in a very professional manner. From providing pre-excursion information to sending detail itineraries, accommodating any changes we wanted to arranging for all the small details - they are experts! The guides are all very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and prompt on pick-ups. We could not have planned or arranged such a holiday on our own! They had all the tickets purchased for trains, buses, exhibits, museums and excursions - all went smooth without a hitch!

I highly recommend Quasar for anyone traveling to the Amazon/Galapagos. Diane and Paul's knowledge of the area and experience helped us make informed decisions tailored to our family. They were always available. patient, and candid in their guidance. The Evolution yacht in the Galapagos was perfect - cabins, public areas especially sun deck, food, crew. And, our naturalist guides, Sam and Walter, were readily available to share knowledge and help everyone enjoy the experience. We had a mixed age group ranging from 12 to 70+. The teenagers brought great fun to the experience. Daily schedule was excellent with at least 1 hike, snorkel, plus other activities each day, with time for an afternoon rest and cocktails on the sundeck before the daily naturalist presentation and dinner. Don't hesitate to travel with Quasar - you'll be very happy!!

We spent a week on the mv Grace in May 2015 - and had a once in a lifetime experience. The accommodation, meals, crew and naturalists were all first class and worked hard to ensure that we not only had a great time - but went away much more informed about the Galapagos Islands. Highly recommend Quasar Expeditions.

Quasar planned our two week vacation to Chile for us.In preparation, they asked us in detail about our preferences for sites and experiences. They listened carefully, proposed options and implemented all our choices. We picked three areas in the country on which to focus and Quasar provided both terrific accommodations and outstanding guides who made each stop a comprehensive, inclusive exposure to the people and places. The Corona virus burst on the scene just as we were starting our trip. We ran into many other travelers whose plans were crushed by cruise or flight cancellations or requirements by their governments that they come home immediately. Our timing was extremely fortunate; the only direct impact for us was the closure of the National Parks which were to be two days of our Patagonia stay. Our guide, Trisha, took advantage of close friends she had in the area and drove us into their lands to observe, and participate, in the sheep ranching estancias of her friends. And she took us to park-adjacent areas of beautiful countryside, rivers and falls where our desired photographic opportunities abounded! We also met the people she knew and felt the warm hospitality they extended. Trisha's knowledge of the area and quickness to adapt our program to these unforeseen events meant that our trip was not substantially affected. The timing was so tight that the last two hotels we stayed in were closing the day of our departure due to the crisis. Our fortune held as our flights home were unaffected and we completed our vacation with so many wonderful experiences and memories. Quasar kept checking in to see if we felt we needed to change our plans, and supported Trisha as she adapted our schedules when we chose to stay. We would welcome another opportunity to work with Quasar on the next vacation!

W really put pressure on the Quasar resources when we booked our expedition and flights less that a week before the big trip. The Schicke's looked after everything with pleasant calm and smart efficiency. I was amazed that not a t was left uncrossed! We were met at the Quito, Ecuador Airport by a courteous and informative guide and taken directly to our luxurious lodgings at Cultura Manor where the owner, Lazlo is a consummate host. Treated to private dinners, driven for a night out at Peppas for live music and Ecuadorian food, walking distance to the local market and a journey to the center of the world filled four days in clean and friendly Quito. Even completely novice travellers can relax when given the care that we had. Flights to Galapagos were short and easy. "The Evolution", our beautiful 200 foot ship was the epitome of luxury and service. Top drawer in every way. The food was to die for both in Quito and on the ship as Ecuador has an immense bounty of fruits, vegs, meats and seafood all produced locally. Our excursions on land and water were delightful and memorable. Both guides created a passionate and knowledgeable experience. The snorkelling was my favourite activity and while the seas were not always crystal clear I achieved my dream of swimming with hammerheads and penguins. My adrenaline pumps and my knees go mushy just thinking of it!!! I would recommend this trip for anyone who is mobile. I would also do the same trip again … and again … and again!

Our experience with Quasar expeditions exceeded my expectations. Patagonia is stunningly beautiful, but the ins and outs of travelling between Chile and Argentina in order to see the best parts of it, would be daunting if attempted solo. Plus, given the distances that need to be covered, and the unpredictable weather conditions, having knowledgeable and personable guides in the jeep with us, to steer us toward the best experiences at the best times of day, added up to a top-notch trip.

Travelling with Quasar expeditions on the vessel Evolution was an amazing experience we will not forget. We were a little apprehensive to be on a boat for a week in close quarters with 30 people , however the vessel and crew made this a wonderful memorable experience. It was an action packed week due to the group largely being family’s with teenagers, but this made it great fun for us with no kids of our own . The food and drinks were ist class and by the weeks end we all felt like family. I do understand some groups can be older , so it is probably sensible to check the mix of passengers so you get no surprises. Quasar were very helpful and professional in every regard

I went aboard the M/V Grace and highly recommend it. The level of service was excellent, the accommodations and food were very good. To experience the Galapagos Islands with a group of just 15 people makes it even more precious. The guide Rafael was outstanding not only for his knowledge but also his enthusiasm about the islands. The island excursions and snorkeling where fantastic. Overall the experience exceed my expectations and highly recommend traveling with Quasar Expeditions.

Excellent experience from the booking process to the actual cruise. We had a wonderful time, a huge thanks to the crew who went out of their way to make our trip a memorable experience, especially Edison our cruise director and Alex and Sam our guides who were extremely knowledgable, helpful and took lots of pictures for us. I can't sing all of your praises enough.

18 of our family and friends boarded the Grace for our Galapagos adventure. We had the most amazing time. Rafa and Walter were wonderful guides, planning our itinerary to avoid “eye pollution” as Rafa called it, so we had the most private experiences possible. For most of the trip, we felt like we were on private islands. The chef, Vicente, prepared fabulous dishes, we had tons of fun hanging at the bar with Saul, and I can’t forget the lovely Melissa and her soothing wake-up calls with soft music over the speakers. The crew were professional with Anderson making our beds multiple times a day like a phantom, the panga captains’ expertise in getting us to the islands. Last but not least, the Galapagos is a very special place. Snorkeling and playing with sea lions, seeing tons of turtles, sharks, fish, blue footed boobies, flamingos, iguanas, sting rays, tortoises, etc. The islands are also very different and beautiful with lush rainy weather on one and dry volcanic areas in others. The travel agent said the guides make or break the experience. Well, we had a once in a lifetime amazing experience, and we owe it to Quasar and M/Y Grace.

I have traveled all over the world and have worked with various tour operators, but nobody does it like Quasar Expeditions. Their product is just as impressive as their staff, and I can't wait to visit South America again so I can see more destinations through their tours! They are quick to accommodate any request, and I am drawn to their unique routes of exploration. Seeing the Galapagos via Grace Kelly's honeymoon yacht and adventuring through Patagonia in my very own Jeep at my own pace was luxury at its finest. I would recommend Quasar to anyone - and I have on many occasions!
