Appalling company to work with. Purchased 2 tickets and a s anew customer did not realise that a railcard would be applied to both tickets and not 1 as I wanted. On realising the error of 2 railcards being on the booking I set about trying to rectify and what followed was a total debacle phone calls and finally an email where I was informed that in order to sort the issue I had to rebook another identical trip and then use the booking reference number to claim back the original trip bear in mind all I wanted to do was amended tickets. Following the email instructions I did this and I am now £184 out of pocket and have wasted a further £132 on a trip I can’t take as the railcard problems are still evident on that booking. However on speaking to a conductor at the station I was told it could have been sorted at the station at the time of travel. At no point did this company offer this as an option or advise me to do so. What they did was orchestrate a labyrinth of money making activities to make me out of pocket and I ended up buying tickets from Trainline with ease. All of this when all I wished to do was amend a booking. 1 whole week of emails and still no resolution. Not impressed at all and I will never use them again nor advise anyone to.

I was unable to book return trip for myself and wife to Oxford via National Rail website, so booked through Raileasy. I was sent a total of 24 separate tickets for this return. Each ticket had a different seat reservation mostly in different carriages and as the train was very full we had a musical chairs journey. But using Raileasy did save me ----£0.16. There is no way of knowing we would need this ridiculous number of tickets until we paid for them

In my experience, Raileasy find every way to make it impossible to get a refund or exchange. They do not answer the phone, their website tells you your booking reference number isn’t recognised, they keep hiding behind ‘a high volume of calls’ (I wonder why call volumes are so high!). I will never use them again. I ended up paying way over the odds because I had to slightly amend my return journey.

Well this was rather rubbish and unexpected. I booked a return journey from Chesterfield to Birmingham New Street. Their website booked me on to a 18:19 train from Birmingham New Street to Derby on 25th April 2022. I duly turned up at the station and found there was no such train. How can you get that so wrong? I had to wait until 18:49, missed my connection and needed to buy another ticket. Wish I'd read the over reviews first; I wouldn't ever use this company again.

Scam, pure evil. Did not return my refund of £107. Do not use their website. Anything happens you will lose your money.

Their prices do seem like bargains, but their complete lack of customer service is appalling. I was fortunate in that the government decreed that full refunds should be given because of COVID- but this came after about 2 weeks of emails backwards and forwards when, in spite of government advice, they initially refused a refund on an advance ticket. I did get my refund eventually, but it was £1 less that I was due- if they do this to all their customers, who keeps the change??!

I bought tickets from London to Leeds for the 22nd and return 23, but due to the Corona Virus and the return trains being canceled I will not be able to go. A few hours after buying the tickets I tried to cancel but they said that it would only be possible to change the date and I would have to buy new tickets to get the refound. Luckily for me, I checked and saw that the website did not recognize the ticket numbers, I sent an email that was answered after three days with a copy and paste message that said to change the book on a website. The website said that it was not possible to change tickets, even saying in the tickets that they could be changed. In the refound option This gave me the option of only £ 7 back from the £ 113 spent. I didn't get any more response from Raileasy and even if they did, it would be some vague answer, indicating a useless link on a lagged website. Everything seems either too neglected or designed to be overcome by tiredness. The Prime Minister declared the closure of everything, the London North Eastern Railway canceled most trains Leeds to London and there is no way to change anything with them, only by Raileasy. I have not received any update of the tickets, my trip is Sunday and they only open on Monday.

Be very careful. Raileasy make it virtually impossible for customers to claim a refund if something goes wrong. Rubbish company to deal with.

Read this if you’re thinking of using Raileasy, Trainsplit (same company) Splitticketing (same company) or any ticket retailer claiming to save you £££s. If you’ve already used Raileasy and you’re having problems DON’T under any circumstances use their 0906 contact number!! Its a premium rate that will set you back over £1 a minute, probably a lot more depending on who your phone provider is. If you really have to call them use their 0871 number or better still email them. Their email address is somewhere on this page. Companies like Raileasy take more money from customers making them call their 0906 numbers! I read some reviews and although I wound up not using Raileasy for my journey, I’ve used other companies like them and can tell you that the booking fees and admin fees are from the train companies. The minute you click on pay and get confirmation that the booking has been successful you're liable for the fees if you need to cancel. In fairness ticket retailers like Raileasy can’t do anything about that. You can’t change travel thats already been booked, you can only ask for a refund on what you’ve already paid for and then you’ll have to book the journey again, that is standard practice. In other words, if you make a mistake and realise a minute later after the payments gone through that you put the wrong date in or something similar, then you’re just going to have to book the journey again and try to get a refund for the one you messed up. On top of that some tickets are not refundable at all (Advance tickets) unless you book another journey and you can’t ask for a refund until you do! Its all very complicated so read the terms and conditions for fares and travel on the National Rail website before booking, especially with companies like Raileasy who don’t exactly make it obvious about fare types or how long refunds take before you pay. The other thing they don’t want you to know about before you give them your money is – and this is really important – if your train is cancelled because of ‘engineering works’ and the works were already planned before you booked, the ticket retailers won’t take responsibility. They say it’s the customer who should be checking if their train is still running before the day of travel. REFUNDS. If you have to claim a refund its going to take WEEKS before you get your money back no matter what the reason. And it doesn’t if you’ve had a medical emergency or bereavement which stopped you from using the tickets, you’ll still have to wait. What’s more, if you can’t travel because of an emergency and your tickets were the Advance tickets, unless you book another identical journey, they won’t pay out a refund. Go and check National Rail fares and T&Cs before you book with any ticket retailer and please don’t use the 0906 number, its a con!

Do not use this website! Their website is not reliable. For me, they did not complete a transaction for my single train ticket. I did not receive a confirmation email, money was taken out regardless, I missed the train I wanted to get and I missed work that day. It was a hellish morning. Also if you go onto the ticket splitting website via moneysupermarket.com, they are cheaper. For example a Rugby-Glasgow single ticket was £49.50 with TicketySplit via Money Saving Expert but it was £52.10 with Raileasy. £2.60 cheaper pretty good especially when it's coming from a more reputable website. Hope this helps anyone who is tirelessly fighting the increasingly expensive price of train tickets!

It is more complicated than just buying a ticket, but I certainly can't complain about the money saved

I got return tickets to Leeds for the day for £60 which was half of the best price I could find. This includes their fee and having the tickets posted to me - which arrived the day after I made the booking on line. The only minor issue is that they don't seem to issue proper itemised receipts which I would prefer.

I had the misfortune to use rail easy they should be called rail nightmare. I made the 'mistake' of having my credit card snap so couldn't collect my tickets from the machine, this was fully 5 days before I was due to travel. So I rang their horrifically expensive helpline where upon I was told there was nothing they could do but if I booked more tickets they'd give me a refund. Great I thought so did that, it wasn't until I asked for the refund that they mentioned there'd be a 10 pound fee and it would be for the cheaper tickets leaving me 68 pounds out of pocket. On contacting them again I was told I'd done nothing wrong but tough there'd stick to their policy and would issue the smaller refund even though I told them not to do so. The contempt shown for their customers is surprising in this day and age. My advice is never use these crooks to be book you rail tickets.

Bloody Awful. My other half never realised you charge premium rates for phone calls, and now we realise that is why she was kept on the line for such a long time!!! £11.56 for one call is awful, you should be ashamed!!!!

On recently collecting my London return journey tickets from the machine at the local station I noted no reserved seats had been registered - this may have been an error on my part when booking -not sure if it was my fault or a problem with the technology, but anyway, I contacted Raileasy by e mail and they replied within 15 minutes. They arranged reserved seats both ways, and the tickets were posted to me and arrived the next morning. A brilliant service!
