“Simple and straightforward system for ordering, good range of products that I was interested in. I had a slight issue with the specification chart for gear wheels but when they were informed they promptly responded with a positive course of action. Delivery costs were a bit more than I expected for such a small product but postage seems to be costly these days”

“Ordered the 10w stereo amplifier kit on Sunday... it was delivered Tuesday - can't fault the delivery. The kit itself is well thought out and quite easy to construct. The only slight problem I had was quite a lot of 'hum' when the 3.5m jack lead is plugged in. Since I only wanted the amplifier for a project where the amplifier is right next to the signal source, I cut the lead and shortened it to about 20 cm - that cured it. I would recommend anyone who needs to use a longer lead to use screened cable (the one supplied isn't,) and keep it as short as practicable. But overall, good value - I would certainly use Rapid again.”

“Rapid response lived upto name. Ordered at 4pm arrive next day. Very friendly on phone. But not 5 star as I bought a stand for soldering iron I can't use for fear of it melting as soldering iron glows bright red after five minutes. The 80w iron was sold as suitable for stained glass and yet it's quickly too hot for delicate work and has to be turned off.”

Hi Sarah, I have spoken to our Technical department who have advised that the Draper stand is not suitable for a Weller iron. They have suggested trying the iron on its own without using the stand to see if the iron still glows red. They suspect that the stand is causing the iron to overheat.

“You mostly stock what I want, the website is easy to use, the prices are reasonable and delivery is usually the very next day. What more could anybody want? I find the datasheets very, very useful and they give me confidence in using an unfamiliar device. I also know your company has been around for a very long time, back to the days of Practical Electronics Magazine, if I recall.”

“Efficient web page. Easy to apply filters, to find the product I want. Love the individual, resealable plastic "envelopes" the parts come i, and especially that they are labeled with MY order number, with the option of having MY part number on them, too. (I haven't figured that one out yet, and not enough people offer the latter, so have a database to "match up" different suppliers' part numbers to my part numbers.) Nice selection of products... saves me ordering for four places for one project. Actually live up to name... parts come quickly. Very reasonable p&p terms.”
