I had an extremely disappointing experience with RebusFarm, leading me to strongly advise against using their services. The core issues revolved around inadequate customer support and unexplained, inconsistent pricing for rendering services. Firstly, the customer support was frustratingly slow and inefficient. The first support agent I chatted with unexpectedly left the chat after about 45 minutes without notice. I found myself repeating information and waiting for prolonged periods without any substantial help. The representatives seemed unprepared to handle my queries, resulting in a waste of time and adding to my frustration. The most significant issue, however, was the inexplicable increase in rendering costs for resubmissions of the same scenes for redos. Redos by the way were a result of the RebusFarm system not handling Cinema 4D’s Takes system properly. Despite multiple assurances that the scenes were identical in terms of settings, materials, and lighting, I faced a drastic and unexplained cost increase for each subsequent render. For example, one render cost 12.75 RP, while a subsequent one skyrocketed to 41.89 RP. This inconsistency was not justifiable, especially considering my familiarity with rendering processes and the fact that these scenes rendered locally took equal time. Customer support failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these discrepancies, resorting to vague justifications about changes in lighting and materials, which were not applicable in my case. Their inability to acknowledge the possibility of an error on their end or to offer a viable solution was deeply concerning. It felt as though they were avoiding the issue rather than addressing it head-on. In conclusion, I am thoroughly dissatisfied with RebusFarm's services. The combination of poor customer support and inexplicable cost increases for identical rendering tasks is unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to consider alternative rendering services to avoid similar experiences. I have decided not to use RebusFarm again after my current credits are exhausted. This has been an unfortunate and costly lesson in the importance of service reliability and transparency.

Worst service ever. From the platform itself to the support. The technical problems are their daily basis. They will avoid responsibility so it is always 'your' problem because you 'did something' and they will continue scratching render points (your credit) in every single job you upload without possible refund. Not a single compensation proposal for the time wasted. (Lots of conversations saved for anyone to check). TERRIBLE

I have been using this ridiculous service for about 4 years now and it has been a downward slope ever since - The service gets WORSE each day! I am finally leaving! I will advise the Rebus team to focus more on getting their system to work rather than investing heavily in retarded adverts and render campaigns. It is very disappointing if I have to hold my breath each time I want to upload or download a project, 95% of the time it NEVER works! Don't get me wrong I do not have a problem with their pricing or anything as I am more than happy to pay for good service but it really DOES NOT work. Terrible Terrible Terrible service! It has wasted my time and resources for as long as I can remember... I am moving to Renderro and I already use vray cloud for my 3dmax renders, if vray ever comes to blender I am definitely moving to them. Save yourself the time and heartache and find another service, I was so pained I had to literally search for "Rebus review" on google because I felt the innate need to save a life! Stay away from this ridiculous render farm!

Terrible service....! Look for alternative and do not waste your time. It would take less time with any crappy computer you may have. Pricing system is a theft. Same jobs, different prices. Many duplicated jobs without reason. They will tell you is because (your connection, try again, server busy at the moment, ....)

Repeated attempts to upload scenes with different errors thrown each time. Support not very helpful with a take it or leave it attitude. Shame because the plug-in’s integration is otherwise good with renders mapped directly back to source. But overall the hassle of getting anything useful out of Rebus far outweighs any other benefits. Now using iRender with zero issues. It’s not a farm as such but what it does offer works very well.

They decided to change their data center servers over night. Nothing is working not even able to download the files that were rendered. When I manage to download they had errors and were all corrupted. They have a greedy management that all they care is MONEY and profit. It was working fine for 3 months but the last month got progressively worse and worse to the DISASTER LEVEL. People are choosing renders farm due to deadlines not to drop thousands of dollars. I WOULD NOT RERCCOMAND THIS COMPANY AT ALL !!!

Any render farm must have knowledgeable TDs and wranglers on duty at least a couple of hours a day to deal with technical issues. This is a MUST for any production, and Rebus lacks this fundamental necessity. Add poor customer service and communications to the above, and you will have my experience with them in a nutshell. The extend of their inability to understand and fix anything was evident when I brought this up in postmortem, they just said it will make THEM HAPPY if I change my mind and use their services!

Terrible service and not supportive customer service. They decide your priority and distribute your jobs in several servers randomly with delays and extremely long renderings as a result. Save for a year and buy your own server. Reviews.io will share your personal details with the company your are actually reviewing. Good luck!

Submitted a large animation project to render with Rebus and the process was error strewn from start to finish. I submitted a test run a month beforehand to solve any potential issues and spent a couple of days troubleshooting to find solutions. Once this had been resolved I submitted the actual job and the same errors came up. The support staff were helpful but again two further days of trouble shooting ensued as they could not remember the solution to the error. Second time round they could not rectify the error so I signed up with GarageFarm and the project uploaded within the hour and had already processed 75 frames with no errors, before I had even got a reply from Rebus. Rebus refused to refund the money for the tests, even though they failed to render the project due to a fault at their end in the upload process.

I wish I could leave less stars. Make sure you don't cancel any jobs in the queue or they wont refund your money, even though their system is the one making mistakes. I would not recommend using this render farm. I would rather sit and watch my machine chew through every frame of a render than give them another cent.

Short answer, it's a frustrating experience that leaves you stuck and disappointed with nonrefundable credits, 0/5 would not recommend. Long answer, I've been using Rebus on an off for years. I only come back because I have nonrefundable credits that I don't want wasted. The customer service is quick, responsive and generally helpful (They need to be because of all the other issues that you will encounter throughout the process). The farm and plugins on the other hand are unreliable and inconsistent. You will be left with trust issues about jobs completing correctly and on time and need to spend hours constantly monitoring renders and refreshing the control center through the app or web. There is no way you can just set it and forget it by rendering something overnight and have any level of confidence frames will be there in the morning to composite. If there are errors with your jobs and you don't notify them immediately they will not refund the cost of the render. I really want to recommend the service because if you're lucky enough to have your file render correctly the service does work and is quick. Unfortunately it's not always speed that matters, it's trust and reliability that the service will be there when you need it most. Don't count on Rebus to save you if you are in need of last minute renders (as we all experience). Anyone who has used Rebus for some time can vouch this and as you can see from other reviews this isn't an isolated experience. I would be sceptical that the 5/5 reviews are made by anyone who have completed more than a few jobs via Rebus and question their authenticity.

Hi, Can you please specify your frustration with our service? We try to understand what went wrong in your case and looked into your account: What we see is that you had some render jobs on the farm in the last days. Those are the first ones since 2017. All of these jobs went through just fine. There were no errors, you got the output and you downloaded it all. We do not understand why you wrote this bad review about our service. Everytime I try to use it I've to spend hours fixing the stupid errors coming up from their plugin. It's really ridiculous spending so much time trying to upload the files. It's supposed to be a quicker solution to local rendering but the truth is that is just a waste of time and money. Totally not recommended.

Hello, We cannot check what went wrong in your case. Can you please send a mail to our support team with the problems you encountered while trying to submit your scene? Our Farminizer tool needs to do an intensive check so that your scene works with our system as it would work with yours. The prompted errors there should be easy to fix and will help you avoid errors on your renderings. Your RebusFarm Team

Costs are inconsistants with the same scene and camera, too many problems with large scenes. Need to delete previous job, because their system randomly decides not to render current job because it share same textures with another rendered job. That means, I need to rename sometimes 30 textures files (when I know all other textures are shared with previous job). I once sent a job after having deleted all previous job on their system and got the same problem. So their plugin / online system is not working properly, and they won't provide a proper answer. Also they once deleted an already rendered job without my consent(I had hoppefully downloadedit before) to make my current project able to start rendering. So they know they have a major problem, but unable to tell us the truth. I don't recommand this when you need to render something quick. It may work, you may be happy, but from my point of view, it's not reliable. At all.

Hello, We took a closer look at this matter and made a few changes. As long as the texture has the same name and the same size there should not be a problem. We also run some tests and were not able to reproduce the error. We would like to know if this problem persists, if so please send a ticket to our support team, so that we can take care of it. I bought some credits so I could evaluate Rebusfarm cloud render service. I sent a rendering to the farm and left to go home from work. When I returned in the morning it was still rendering and it had drain $1,200 credits/dollars from my account. I canceled it and called the support. They had me send the scene and would evaluate the scene to see what happen. I decided to render the scene locally to see how long it would take. It took my system 2 hours and 38 minutes to render. The scene ran for over 18 hours on their farm before I stopped it. They said it was my render settings that caused it to take so long on their farm and I would not be getting the credits back. They could not explain why with the same rendering setting it only took 2 hours and 38 minutes on my systems that are 5 years old. This is a clear cut scam. They drain your money and blame it on you. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR THIS SERVICE.

I used Rebus renderfarm service for a while a few years ago. I had some spare credit which I paid into my account for possible future use. I then came to a point where I was able to render some projects by myself so naturally asked Rebus for my spare money back that I didn't need to spend at that time. I would have been happy to use Rebus in the future had they simply just reimbursed me and said something like 'we look forward to the next time you come back to us'. They simply refused to reimburse me and said i was welcome to use them at a future date. For this reason, and this reason alone, I shall never use them again, until they do the right thing. I have told, and will continue to tell, many colleagues, and other industry professionals, about my experience. They can make their own minds up but I know that many do not use rebus, as and when external computer assistance is needed. The whole episode just stinks of greed to me. Very short sighted business attitude.

Any payback requested within that time period is refunded by us right away and without questions. But please also understand that it is not possible to refund all payments that have been made years back. Your RenderPoints never expire and you are always welcome to use them. Started rendering, paid for credits, chose a highest priority level. "608 frames waiting to render" in 30 minutes it was 609.

Somehow they can't manage to get anything right, complex arch scenes won't render at all and they can't tell me why. MASH networks do not compute properly. I don't need render help on simple scenes. If they can't render complex stuff, what's the point?
